Finally gave in to the fact it's so much easier and faster for me to get around using a walker instead of a cane. Ordered a snazzy red one to leave in the car to get me from the parking lot to my office. Then I needed a cup holder to carry my morning large McD Coke. Then I needed a giant koozie so my large McD coke won't sweat all over my desk.

I had been down due to COVID in August. It was basically a No Spend month.😂
In the past 3 days:
Coffee filters Caramel coffee flavoring Toothpaste & dental floss 2 books—Dog nutrition & drawing 2 e-books on pre-order An A6 notebook & pencil board because they are cute (cats and llamas)
Because I was influenced and my birthday is coming up:
An A6 planner and a protective cover
Debating the purchase of a leather cover for the planner. Again, birthday. SO is getting off easy and cheap.

Would you mind sharing a link to the sunglasses? I hate playing the switcheroo game between regular glasses and sunglasses. Of course! Here you go!Those really great sunglasses. Fortunately I don't need them after my cataract surgery, but would have been very happy to have had them over the years..

LOL, I’m pretty sure I could knock off at least 90% of your list at two stops, Costco and Target. It's an hour (more if there's traffic) to Target and two, I think, to Costco. Locally I have WM, a couple of grocery stores, JCP, and HL. Amazon is just SO much easier I will say I’m really lucky to have something like 13 Target stores within about a 30 minute drive and four Costcos (three regular stores and one business center) within that same radius. I don’t know if I could handle living an hour or more away from either of those places! I pretty much go to both stores on a weekly basis.

RedSquirrelUK I got my parents a 3-pack of readers from Costco last year for Christmas since they're always sharing and losing them... When DH and I went to visit them recently, they admitted they've already lost them... why they just can't keep a pair or two in each room, I don't know. Wow, that's a super-power losing ability. Is their place cluttered? My defence for leaving my glasses at home is that both times this year I was in a hurry, and both times I took my glasses off (from round my neck so I don't lose them!) and put them on my pillow to change tops, and the door bell rang while I still had one arm in and one out. Distraction. I've been wearing reading glasses for 12 years and have only done this three times in total. I do keep my old glasses in my car in case I forget to take them to work.

LOL, I’m pretty sure I could knock off at least 90% of your list at two stops, Costco and Target. Nope. And I live in a city. I could get the tea and school supplies at Target. If they had the tea in stock. I might be able to get the sweater hangers at Target. If they had nice padded ones. The sweatshirt bra...no idea where to get that one in person. The Advent calendars... maybe the Star Wars one would be at Costco eventually (not there yet) but I'd have to keep checking and going over there. Meanwhile I could order it from Amazon and it's already here. The jigsaw puzzle Advent calendar... I've never seen that one in a store. Yes, Costco sells printer ink. But not *my* printer ink. The cookbook might be in a bookstore, which would mean a longer drive out to where there is an actual bookstore. I hate driving in our traffic. And I've never seen the particular fun socks that I bought in any store. Yes, I could go around searching for them. But to me that's one of Dante's circles of hell...driving from store to store looking for one thing in particular.

We buy TONS from Amazon. Often just normal household items, but here are some things the past month:
- bird bath water circulator - magnifying glass - because I am old and can’t see anything! - doorknob - to replace one that I dislike - chicken salt - food booth at the Minnesota State fair had this, and it is supposed to be an amazing seasoning from Australia. - a tennis elbow brace - a Keurig brewer - heavy duty paper plates that are a pretty floral print, for a party next weekend - 4 inch thick furnace filters, recommended by my HVAC guy

I honestly don't know how they've misplaced them. And then they randomly appear out of thin air. My parents are strange. Haha.

I think we usually go in Target 2-4 times a year - Christmas and back to school shopping and maybe once or twice otherwise. This year we didn't even for back to school shopping. We're in that city monthly during the school year - DD's Girl Scout meeting is near the shopping area so we run errands during it (2hrs once a month) but I'm more likely to go to Michaels, JoAnns, and/or Trader Joes than Target - and sometimes we go to the art museum instead. I've never been in a Costco at all.

And I've never seen the particular fun socks that I bought in any store. Yes, I could go around searching for them. But to me that's one of Dante's circles of hell...driving from store to store looking for one thing in particular. I saw the Christmas Vacation Advent calendar mentioned in the OP at Costco a couple weeks ago (they had the Elf one too and one more), and just last week I was kicking myself because I bought the Disney Princess Lego calendar at Target only to find it for ten bucks cheaper the very next day at Costco. 🤦🏻♀️ I didn’t look too closely because I was in a hurry but I’m pretty sure they had the Star Wars Lego calendar too. I probably should return the one I bought at Target, but I’d have to make sure Costco still has it first and that might be more of a hassle than I’m willing to deal with. Costco sells my HP printer ink. When my last printer exploded yellow ink all over the inside of it, I intentionally bought the next printer at Costco after making sure that they sold the ink for it too. They no longer sell that printer but they still sell the ink for it even years later. I used to print literally hundreds of pages a month so I was burning through cartridges fast (this was before the ink tank printers were readily available). Costco is very price competitive on ink, and I wanted to make sure it was something I’d be able to get locally the same day. That’s something that when I need it, I need it now. Now if they also sold Sawgrass sublimation ink I’d be all set, LOL. It about kills me to drop $77 per cartridge for that printer only to have to cough up another $13 for shipping on top of that because no one here sells it. I have the Target and the Costco apps on the home page of my phone and pretty much anytime I want to buy anything, I always check those two places first since I know I’m already going there anyway. Amazon is on the home page of my phone too, but mostly to price check the other two. If I can go buy something and have it in my hands today, I much prefer that. Especially since I can do my shopping during the day in the middle of the week when the stores are less busy and I can typically just get in and out relatively quickly. Plus I get the extra 5% discount at Target using my Red Card, and two extra rebates for executive membership and using Costco’s Visa on everything I buy there (including gas, which I try to fill up at Costco as much as possible) so I have those added incentives for shopping at those two places. I’m always surprised by how often I find the stuff I want at one of those two stores.

They work really well… They take D batteries but they last all season long.

I have been trying really hard lately to not buy from Amazon.
However at the start of last month I bought ds a shirt for the first spirit week of school, replacement bulbs for his train crossing signal (oos at the online store for train stuff) and dh got a new lanyard for a neck fan he got at HD.
I use Amazon as a last resort.

Very boring things, I'm afraid. A few extra tape measures, carpenter's pencils, utility knives, and work gloves--all for the endless DIY work we're forever doing around here. We seem to misplace those small items constantly, which causes delays in the work, so I'm looking to create a mini hoard of each.
