I totally cracked up at the photo you posted!! Once you start watching, you will fall in love with him as well as all the other characters/actors. (Well, some of them you will hate but that takes a little time!) It's one of those shows that I wish I could watch all over again for the first time. And, just for transparency, this takes place when he is returning from the Revolutionary War so there are some really hard parts to watch, but so worth it. DH liked it as much as I did!

I just realized today is Friday the 13th. It's been a good day so I won't complain. jeremysgirl I hope you made it to the beach. pantsonfire I have seen those advertised. I think we need to try them. The gnats have gotten terrible recently. DH is trying to get me to buy a new bridal set. Mine broke years ago and I guess he figures I need a new one after 40 years. The thing is, I don't want to spend thousands of dollars on jewelry. I would be just as happy with a fake diamond. Headed to a soccer game this evening. Trying to squeeze in as many games as possible while the weather is still nice. Will come home to a dinner of hamburgers on the grill.

Jeremy sprayed bug spray *inside* the camper... I want to kill him. Just an FYI, if I were on the jury you would get away with this unfortunate, but totally justified murder. I know these are trivial complaints Whoa, maybe the food issue friend is annoying more than crossing the line, but waking roommates and using someone else's towel are NOT trivial complains! There are a few retreat places around here that are all twin beds, so a room sleep 2-8 people. Often they are set up by color, where one bed has red linens and towels next to the blue bed/towel, etc., but you are pretty much stuck if someone decided to use towel. There are no spares. I'm a hard "no" if someone invites me because I've reached the age where, unless I married or birthed you, I don't share a room. He's just finished week 11 and is ready to be out of there! SO glad to see his progress, but it really has been a long haul recovery. Hugs to you all! All is well but parents are melting down all over FB and parent groups because we didn't get a text until the all clear. I'm fine with that - please focus on securing the campus and keeping everyone safe. It's not like I can do anything if they told me earlier anyway OMG, if they'd texted earlier in the event, they KNOW they'd be dealing with hundreds of extras showing up to a scene they are trying to contain. I understand the worry and know that there will be texts going out between parents and students, but let the administration and LEO deal with their priorities. So I had almost 10 hours sleep last night and might have missed my ophthamolgist's appointment if I didn't have a medication alarm still set! I have cataract surgery scheduled for next month unless my oncologist objects for any reason (unlikely). Dinner will be an antipasto pasta salad with a few different vegetables thrown in (zucchini/asparagus instead of fennel/artichokes). My basil died on me in last week's heat wave so I tossed in a bit of pesto sauce.

leannec How can you even function on that much sleep? I hope you get a fat nap today. On days I don't work it's not a big deal because I don't need to be productive ... hopefully I will be working next week though so things had better change! I tried to nap but it was a no go ... stupid insomnia!

Hi scrapmaven I am just about ready to file for divorce. Jeremy sprayed bug spray *inside* the camper... I want to kill him... He is obsessed with fucking bugs and it's getting annoying. I'm ready to go to the beach for our last day and he won't put down the damn swatter and take me. I guess he thought deep woods off for human bodies was going to help with gnats inside the camper. Shoot me now. I'm sorry I've been quiet this week. But I've been enjoying being semi off the grid. We will have calzones tonight. Check out is 11 am tomorrow. I started watching Life on our Planet last night and they stated that there are over one billion insects for every person on the planet. Google puts it at 1.4 billion insects per person. He is going to have to work awfully hard to handle that ratio. And I am with you. I could not handle the fumes or the residue that will be covering everything that is fabric, likely turning to a sticky sludge concoction that will hold all kinds of dirt. He would certainly be starting the process of cleaning every inch of the inside of that trailer when we returned home if he were around me.

Googling tells me it might be my starter but I'm waiting for my nephew to come over and take a look because he's the 'car guy' in our family! At least it did it when it was in my garage rather than out somewhere!

scrapmaven: Walker has very long hair (think Bernese Mountain Dog hair) and sheds non stop. He hates being brushed but it’s totally necessary on a regular basis. I use the deshedding brush in one hand and the vacuum in the other to suck up the hair as it comes off. It saves having the hair flying around the room during the process. It’s way easier to do with two people. DH normally wrangles the dog while I do the deed.

Geez oh Pete's you guys are falling apart. 😂 It must be Friday the 13th. Tearisci car won't start. Leanne can't nap. Austnscrpaddict has roommates from hell. And bc2ca basil died. However, I'm the only one at the campground....😲

I use a thermocell at camping times.. it kept away all insects!!!
I'm too old to bunk with anyone else!!! I want my own space. only exception is GS camp.. where you bring you own stuff and don't hang out in the cabin.
my scrapbooking is the last album I'm doing for my sister in law.. it is pictures of her wedding and someone elses.. doing a super simple a little paper version.. she has 2-4 months left. cancer sucks.

Hi dinner will be a Wendy’s salad with lots of dressing and no croutons. Today will be a perfect eating day. I am kind of ecstatic about my food choices. Some days I fail and other days it’s great.
My GP was really happy with my weight loss. Yay! Tomorrow will be 12 lbs. Omg! (Based on my weight today and not cheating). Everything is great!

TGIF! I had a dermatologist appointment this morning. She called my scalp "red and angry" (dandruff is the worstttt), so I have an oral antifungal, and prescription shampoo, oil, and a lotion. Plus a follow up in a month.
I stopped at Costco on the way home to get my pneumonia vaccine, but since I am under 65, they needed a prescription. Called my primary care office. They said they'd put one in, but it wouldn't be done today. So I headed home... Where I got an email they'd sent it over to CVS (which is fine, because it's closer than Costco). Now I'm just waiting for CVS to tell me that it's ready so I can schedule that.
So I guess my day was somewhat productive between the appointment and work.
Now to tackle my other ENT appointments and see what they suggest. One day at a time to figure this out, but at least I'm closer than I was a month ago.

karenlou.....Awww, I'm so sad for you and your DH! Continued (( hugs )) as you miss your sweet Gracie! Linda.......OMG, so this is the second gun situation in your kids' school in the last week? How terrifying! How sad that the kids and teachers can't feel safe at school anymore. leannec....I feel so bad for you---I wouldn't be able to function with 90 minutes of sleep!!! ( by the way, "Selling Sunset" is borrrring me, so I probably won't finish this season ) Ugh, I'm getting one of my $*^#. headaches again, and my hip is killing me, too---yippeee! (wonder if damn rain is in the forecast? ) I doubt I'll make anything good for dinner.

leannec......( don't answer if you don't want to! ) Just wondering if you've been to a sleep medicine specialist, and/or if your regular doctor has tried anything to help you sleep. It just freaks me out how LITTLE you sleep! And as you know, we all need that deep, REM sleep cycle, and all that other "stuff" that sleep gives us.

( by the way, "Selling Sunset" is borrrring me, so I probably won't finish this season ) I enjoyed Selling Sunset this season because they showed a lot of houses! They never show real estate! The petty junior high girl drama is the same as it always was ... Oh, and the tea is that Allanah doesn't actually "own" Pioneertown! She is a shareholder along with many many other people! Have you watched the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders series on Netflix? It's really good!

I have seen many many doctors over the years because I haven't slept well my entire life ... my mum said I quit napping at two years old and it was all downhill from there I have tried everything from medication to meditation ... my thing right now is watching ASMR hair play videos on Youtube - they relax me but, sadly, don't put me to sleep ... I am seriously a freak of nature when it comes to sleep.

jeremysgirl.... *with the horrific rash/ welts *your "dear" (?) mother-in-law staying in your camper *annnd.....the toxic bug spray covering every square inch of your air/ camper surfaces: Seriously my lumpy rash is all scabby and flaky now. I think between the Prednisone, the sunshine, and the swimming pool at the campground everything is healing nicely. I was able to enjoy my camping trip. I do in fact have a dear MIL. She is a gem. It is hard having someone in my tiny space but it was nice to see everyone for a few days. I survived it and I will invite her again. The bug spray? Ugh. I could have killed him. The other night we were laying in bed and he came in close and I thought he was gearing up for kisses and cuddles and nope, he wanted to swat bugs above my head. 😂 For an outdoors guy he sure does have issues with bugs.

austnscrapaddict your trip sounds like my worst nightmare, sharing with three other women! I don't go anywhere without my sleep earplugs, but they only dull the noise, they don't block it out completely. I don't know that I would cope. And as for someone using your towel.... gross! jeremysgirl I have had some bad experiences with bugs lately, which have freaked me tf out, so I'm sorry to say I am on Jeremy's side this time! Spoiler in case people get the heebie jeebies about critters: First of all, it was a bug (mosquito) that gave me dengue fever in Thailand. Then when we were swimming in the ocean in Thailand, we kept getting bitten by sea lice. Then DSO had a freaky alien critter sea lice BURROW into his shoulder, and I had to dig it out. Then yesterday when I had a shower, I saw something on my shoulder that I assumed was just a scab from my dengue rash. I took a photo of it and I swear it looked like some hideous critter like a flea or a louse or something. Note to self: do NOT take photos of things with the macro lens on my phone! My team was playing in the AFL semi final, so I thought I would have "footy food" for dinner. I bought some party pies and sausage rolls, as well as mozzerella balls, mashed potato balls, and corn fritters. After dinner I went to my dad's house to watch h the football. Our team lost, so they're out of the finals.
