Bill Gates is calling this a different kind of election... After decades of staying out of politics, billionaire Microsoft co-founder and global philanthropist Bill Gates is reportedly getting involved in the 2024 election — with a $50 million contribution to the effort to elect Vice President Kamala Harris.According to The New York Times, Gates, who is typically withdrawn and secretive about his politics and has not made a public endorsement in the election, meant for the contribution to be kept out of the public eye, contributing the funds to a so-called "dark money" political nonprofit, Future Forward USA Action. www.rawstory.com/bill-gates-2669458814/

More exhaustion .. TFG cancels another appearance!! The 78-year-old Trump has been backing out of multiple planned events amid reports that he's feeling "exhausted" by the demands of the 2024 presidential campaign. In addition to the planned RFK Jr-Gabbard event, Trump canceled interviews with CBS News' "60 Minutes," as well as with CNBC and NBC News. www.rawstory.com/trump-cancels-roundtable-exhaustation/

Giuliani day dreaming.... Giuliani said that Trump had been unfairly portrayed in the media and suggested that the former president's sons were "probably" first responders on Sept. 11, 2001.www.rawstory.com/giuliani-trump-movie/

Busy minds... Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) crafted a mock ad similar to the commercials for "A Place for Mom," a website that helps family members find assisted living facilities that they approve of. youtu.be/wiyGScJ7iWQ?si=gimiB5WYh55hMjd3

LA DA on Menendez brothers..
Not universal agreement.
Resentencing is appropriate.
Considering more recent documents...
Conditions to consider: 1. Have they been rehabilitated? 2. Is it safe to release them? 3. Behavior in custody? Including self improvement.. Making life for others better.. Further education.. Even while having no expectation of release ever..
Going into court tomorrow.. for resentencing.. It is up to the judge to make the decisions.. There may be representative from the DA's office objecting..
Age at conviction, under 26, in today's law they would have been allowed review and possible parole...
it is possible they could be released immediately... Still all up to the judge..
Although the parole board could deny a release. Also Gov Newsome could deny the release.

New 2025 goes further... Already In progress.. MAGA think tank's Trump transition plan goes 'further' than Project 2025 in key area: NYTErik De La Garza October 24, 2024 11:19PM ET A right-wing think tank in existence for just about four years is at the core of the planning for a second Donald Trump presidency, according to the New York Times, which reported Thursday that the group already has nearly 300 executive orders ready for Trump should he return to the Oval Office.Like Project 2025, the America First Policy Institute has developed a plan “for staffing and setting the policy agenda for every federal agency, one that prioritizes loyalty to Mr. Trump and aggressive flexing of executive power from Day 1,” according to the Times. But, the publication noted, unlike the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, the institute's transition plans include "discretion." “It understood what Heritage didn’t: Transition work is always best kept very quiet,” said Heath Brown, a professor of public policy at John Jay College of Criminal Justice who studies presidential transitions,” according to the Times. However, the group’s vision “is no less Trumpist: It calls for halting federal funding for Planned Parenthood and for mandatory ultrasounds before abortions, including those carried out with medication. It seeks to make concealed weapons permits reciprocal in all 50 states, increase petroleum production, remove the United States from the Paris Agreement, impose work requirements on Medicaid recipients and establish legally only two genders,” the Times reported. The publication notes that in one critical area, the institute “goes significantly further” by advocating for the removal of nearly all civil service protections for federal workers “by making them at-will employees – a strategy supporters believe will allow Mr. Trump and his aides to root out career staff members who they believe stood in his way in his first administration.” The group, which the Times adds “has quickly inserted itself into nearly every corner of Mr. Trump’s political machine,” was founded at the end of 2020 by three wealthy Texans.www.rawstory.com/donald-trump-2669477666/

Another one down.. x.com/MacFarlaneNews/status/1849851346599784590Show more: NEW: Jan 6 defendant Jay Johnston, former "Bob's Burgers" actor, asks for leniency at sentencing Monday Defense says feds "persistently overstated Johnston’s participation at the Capitol..because he is an acclaimed Hollywood actor. government is using his status to make a point to the public" *** "Mr. Johnston has not been able to sustain his livelihood as an actor after his involvement at the Capitol on January 6, 2021 and was subsequently publicly dropped from various projects and has effectively been blacklisted by the film and television industry," they argued. In their memo outlining why Johnston deserves more than a year in jail, prosecutors argued that he "helped at least 4 other rioters wash their eyes out after being sprayed with OC spray, used a stolen U.S. Capitol Police riot shield to make a 'shield wall' against the police inside the tunnel and participated in 'heave-ho push' against police." Prosecutors also said that Johnston's actions in the days after the riot were damaging. "Despite his clear knowledge of, and participation in, the violence used by rioters that day, Johnston sent messages to friends and family in the days after Jan 6th claiming the events at the US Capitol were exaggerated by the media and that it was a 'setup,'" the prosecution argued. www.rawstory.com/capitol-riot-sentence-bob-burger/

The idiot was once again claiming the 2020 election was stolen and he was asked if he would ever present evidence that it was. Of course he didn’t answer. But kudos to this guy for asking. Ian Sams… ”Trump continues to claim the 2020 election was stolen from him on the Joe Rogan podcast, while Rogan presses him for evidence Rogan: “Are you gonna present this ever?” Trump: *pause* “Uhhhh…” x.com/iansams/status/1850031369834913841?s=61&t=j45uMgNk1i8O0YllKF58nw

The idiot is holding a rally in NYC today. And he got only the best speakers like this guy. Tennessee Holler “Yikes. Tony Hinchcliffe of the “Kill Tony” podcast with some anti-immigrant *humor* at a Trump rally that must have sounded better in the writers room. 🫤 (h/t @atrupar)” Said this… Acyn.. “There’s a lot going on. I don’t know if you know this but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico” x.com/acyn/status/1850613597304455412?s=61&t=j45uMgNk1i8O0YllKF58nw

As who to trust? This guy would be the last person I would trust. Aaron Rupar.. “Tucker Carlson: "There's not one moment I've ever been with him off camera where he's spending his time grousing about people he hates. Ever ... Trust me." Carlson then invokes the great replacement conspiracy theory that has inspired numerous right-wing mass shooters.” x.com/atrupar/status/1850654548588687549?s=61&t=j45uMgNk1i8O0YllKF58nw
