TFG's new campaign promise... x.com/RonFilipkowski/status/1837202762125266978Trump's Friday afternoon vaping pledge ignited instance ridicule from observers on Twitter. "Trump now running on vaping, like he thinks this will land him in the White House," said ex-NBC producer Mike Sington. "Trump wants to make vaping great again," joked CBS's Kathryn Watson "Not sure we’re ever had a presidential nominee run on a platform to save vaping, but at this point he is promising everyone everything," said Midas Touch editor Ron Filipkowski. www.rawstory.com/trump-vaping-love/

He holds similar views toward women as Byron Donalds. .. they have no shame talking about it either!!

Arizona court win... Basically for state elections, however if they got their hands in it would gotten worse for all the others.. The Arizona Supreme Court has ruled that nearly 100,000 voters facing questions over their citizenship documents can cast ballots on Nov. 5, with the chief justice saying they were "unwilling" based on the facts of the case to "disenfranchise voters en masse" from participating in state elections. In the ruling Friday, the court found that the Maricopa County recorder and other county recorders lack the authority to change voter registration statuses to solely federal ballots, as those voters registered long ago, The Associated Press and Arizona Family reported. We are unwilling on these facts to disenfranchise voters en masse from participating in state contests,” Chief Justice Ann Scott Timmer said in the ruling. “Doing so is not authorized by state law and would violate principles of due process. Adrian Fontes, the Arizona secretary of state, declared on X: "We won." "No voters on 'the list' will be made Fed-Only," he said. "Congrats team. Thank you amici. Now…let’s go have an election!!" www.rawstory.com/arizona-election-lawsuit/

TFG concepts are coming to light through Vance and other Republicans.. House and Senate Republicans and the Trump campaign are looking to repeal parts of President Joe Biden's highly-successful Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and President Barack Obama's highly-successful Affordable Care Act (ACA), with a sharp focus on the provisions that protect access to health insurance and have lowered health care costs and prescription drug costs for millions of Americans – and will do so even more next year. Republicans this week have been discussing plans to repeal the protections that require private insurance companies to provide the same coverage, and at the same cost, to people with pre-existing conditions as it does for those without them. They are also looking to repeal the hard-fought right the federal government now has to negotiate prescription drug prices for Medicare. *** The Affordable Care Act, also known as ObamaCare, turned 14 this year. Some Americans, especially those who came of age after it was enacted, may not be aware that before the ACA, insurance companies could and often did deny coverage based on "pre-existing conditions." ObamaCare made that practice illegal. "GOP healthcare plans, per the last 24 hours," reports DC journalist Todd Zwillich, include "repeal pre-existing conditions protections in private insurance," and "repeal Medicare’s negotiating power for Rx drugs." U.S. Rep. Buddy Carter (R-GA) called the provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act that allow the federal government to negotiate prices for Medicare drugs, "the worst legislation I've ever witnessed in 10 years in Congress and 10 years in the state legislature." He said he "absolutely" wants to repeal them, according to Axios. "No congressional Republicans asked by Axios argued for keeping the IRA drug pricing talks." *** "This isn’t some wild accusation or scare tactic," remarked Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg. "Republicans are admitting they would side with Big Pharma and gut the Biden-Harris law that lets Medicare negotiate drug prices, if they win. They are literally, openly, for higher drug prices." *** Pointing to Vance's interview (above), Beutler writes: "When Vance here says he wants to put the healthy and sick in different risk pools he’s saying he wants to make pre-existing conditions protections impossible. His claim to want to maintain them is a lie."One of the 'concepts' of the Trump-Vance plan is to screw over people with pre-existing conditions, specifically," he adds, pointing to his "Off Message" Substack. "Step one of the plan is to lie about it—say it covers pre-existing conditions. Step two is to kick out the regulatory tentpoles that make covering pre-existing conditions possible." .....and a whole lot more... www.rawstory.com/new-gop-strategy-skyrocket-the-cost-of-health-insurance-and-prescription-drugs/x.com/atrupar/status/1835322314923053187

And more Inside Big Pharma's Republican cash grabThom Hartmann- commentary.. September 19, 2024 7:43AM ET Congressional Republicans are enthusiastically doubling down on the corruption openings five Republicans on the Supreme Court gave them when they legalized political bribery with Citizens United. Their newest scam is trying to stop Medicare from negotiating drug prices.A new study this year by the RAND Corporation found that Americans pay 4.22 times more for brand-name drugs than the citizens of any other developed country. That’s a 422% markup against the (already profitable) prices people in other countries pay for the same drugs, with the entire burden borne by citizens of the US, directly or indirectly. *** And that price-gouging has been on hyperdrive since the Bush administration got legislation passed in 2003 that forbade Medicare from negotiating drug prices like the Pentagon, big hospital chains, and drug store chains do routinely: Between that year and 2020, retail prescription drug spending exploded by 91 percent in the US. Their lies to Congress aside, drug companies aren’t using that money to develop new products; every genuinely new drug developed in the US over the past decade was funded by our government. Instead, the senior executives in the industry are using those profits they extracted from you and me to buy new corporate jets, luxury yachts, and palatial mansions all around the world. For example, AbbVie CEO Richard Gonzalez reportedly earned around $60 million annually in recent years, with total compensation from 2013 to 2018 reaching approximately $334 million. Nice work if you can get it. *** Nonetheless, when Axios reported on how Republican Congressman Buddy Carter (R-GA) and Republican Senators Thom Tillis (R-NC), Mike Crapo (R-ID), and John Cornyn (R-TX) are enthusiastic about ending Medicare’s ability to simply negotiate prices like any other major purchaser, they opened their story with the dubious line that those Republicans were concerned about our “heavy-handed government squelching pharmaceutical innovation.” What those Republicans are actually concerned about is the continuing flow of cash into their campaign accounts from the profits Big Pharma and other monopolistic industries squeeze out of so many of us. Not to mention all the fancy trips, junkets, “tips” now authorized by the Supreme Court, hookers, and other forms of political support that we used to call bribery. As with so many other policies, from abortion to education to the climate emergency, Republicans don’t give a damn what their voters or the larger American citizenry want. Fully 77 percent of Republican voters want Medicare to negotiate drug prices, for example, but these sleazy, bought-off politicians have learned that they can reliably send their voters off on a foaming-at-the-mouth frenzy by simply throwing a few racist tropes at them and they — and the media — will quickly forget all about drug prices and other terrible corporate behavior. ......and a whole lot more.... www.rawstory.com/raw-investigates/big-pharma-congress/

Vance on Robinson ... And ... Friday, Vance slammed the Harris campaign, and his own child, in what is reportedly his first public reaction to the Robinson scandal. "I was *walking* to the doctor (because one of my kids gave me the plague) My comment on Mark Robinson is that Kamala Harris cast the deciding vote on the Inflation Explosion Act and because of that a lot of Americans can't afford groceries," the Ohio GOP Senator claimed. Some on social media were taken aback by the GOP nominee's remarks. "That is not in fact a comment on Mark Robinson," responded journalist Stephen Robinson. "Also, stop blaming your kids for ever[y] inconvenience in your life." Senator Vance recently bragged he had told his 7-year old son to "shut the hell up" during his call accepting the vice presidential nomination from Donald Trump. "Between Vance telling his young son to 'shut the hell up' to throwing one of his kids under the bus for 'giving [him] the plague,' it seems pretty obvious that childless cat ladies are not the ones with issues around family dynamics," remarked former Fox News and CNBC contributor Julie Roginsky. "And PS: He never did answer that question about where he stands on Mark Robinson's candidacy." Some suggested by "the plague" he was stating he tested positive for COVID. The Daily Beast's senior political reporter Roger Sollenberger, meanwhile, observed: "Vance’s comment on a GOP gubernatorial candidate in a critical swing state identifying himself as a 'black NAZI' on a porn site and saying he wants slavery to come back—a guy Donald Trump repeatedly & recently praised—is to openly dismiss it as somehow unworthy of discussion." www.rawstory.com/black-nazi/*** x.com/JaredRyanSears/status/1837143300362358994So you rushed away just to come on Twitter and still avoid answering the question? That means everyone is free to assume you fully support Robinson and find nothing about his statements, history, or actions inappropriate or offensive. Not surprising, considering you are the VP nominee to a rapist, fraud, felon, insurrectionist, and traitor who you called Hitler. By the way, inflation peaked BEFORE the Inflation Reduction Act, which was signed in August 2022. Today, inflation is 2.5%, with wage growth of 3.8%. Grocery prices have been flat over the past year, while gas and car prices have fallen. Real wages are higher now than before the pandemic. ***

If this isn't enough to get people out and vote, nothing will . Jim Jordan may be gearing up to launch a bid for a promotion that could set off a major civil war among Republicans. Raw Story recently reported that, if the GOP loses its existing majority in the House of Representatives this fall, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-NC) will very likely have fellow Republicans gunning for his job. Jordan is reported to be topping that list. www.rawstory.com/jim-jordan-gop-civil-war/

School kids in Georgia are stepping up and out of schools over gun violence!! Joined by educators, parents, and gun control advocates, thousands of Georgia students on Friday staged a classroom walkout organized by the youth-led March for Our Lives "to demand a future free from gun violence" following the September 4 mass shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, the deadliest such event in the state's history. *** Apalachee High School junior Sasha Contreras said during a Friday walkout rally in Gwinnett that "I wasn't going to speak today but seeing and hearing everyone's courage in showing up today and taking action made me realize that my voice was important." "There is nothing being done to prevent such a tragedy from occurring again. As a student that has [Advanced Placement] exams at the end of the school year as well as leadership positions, I understand the importance of going back to school," Contreras added. "However, many of my peers including myself feel anxious about returning with no preventative measures in place." *** "Guns kill more kids than any other cause in the state of Georgia," Salazar added. "More than cancer, more than car accidents. Even though a sweeping majority of Americans support commonsense gun laws, we know it's an uphill battle to convince state lawmakers to value our lives over the gun lobby's money. But young people in Georgia will not stop fighting until gun violence is a relic of the past." www.rawstory.com/georgia-shooting-2669250602/

TFG more on immigrants, think concentration camps as he is instead calling them detention camps... And serial numbers.. Former President Donald Trump suggested he could efficiently conduct mass deportations if reelected because immigrants have "serial numbers."In a Sunday interview on Full Measure, host Sharyl Attkisson challenged Trump on his promise of mass deportations. *** SA: "Don't you think the first time there is an image on television of a family tearfully being told to board a bus that that whole program would end?" Attkisson asked. "That's right," Trump said. "You take a young woman with two beautiful children, and you put her on a bus, and it ends up on the front page of every newspaper. It makes it a lot harder." "So yes to mass deportation, even of women and children," he continued.
