Left love for this pretty page in the Gallery, joyfulnana. Love the sketch and how you interpreted it. Really fun look with those fishtail banners in that top corner.

Ooh, ooh, ooh! Do I have an idea for this sketch! I've been waiting to scrap a photo from the cruise where I can use a ton of themed embellishments. Now to find the time in today's busy schedule!

I have lots of ideas percolating in my head for this layout, the main one I think I'm going to do is cut it in half and put it in a traveler's notebook.

Here is my take on this. For next year's family calendar. This photo, the background pp, and the cut out month name have been on my scrap counter for a week while I tried to figure out what to do with them. joyfulnana, this sketch made them all slide into place. And as I was looking for other elements, I luckily found a pp that matches her shirt and a frame with flowers that matched the background pp. So let's just say this page was meant to be... Well, I didn't really follow the sketch exactly. Story behind all the die cuts. Back in 2009 as we were adopted our two boys, then age 10 and 3, I started shopping for boy themed scrapbooking stuff. One of my favorite LSS at the time in Portland carried many Quickutz 2 x 2 and 4 x 4 dies. When the pirate stuff was on clearance I went for it. But wouldn't you know, neither boys was into pirates, and never had a Halloween costume that was a Pirate, oh wait the very first one for the then 3-year-old 2 weeks after they came to the US. SOOOOO, these have never been used until now. Yes, I got a little carried away! But it was fun!
Can't let a good die cut go to waste! Papers are from MME paper thin paper pack and HOTP (shells). Lawn Fawn banners. All die cuts are Quickutz with a few having ink shading. Postcards and flyer complete the photos.
Hidden journaling about Key West: Hemmingway Home and Museum Earnest Hemmingway owned this Spanish Colonial style home form 1931 until his passing in 1961. Constructed of native rock hewn from the grounds, it boasts the first pool built in Key West. It is now a Museum that is inhabited by the descendants of his six-toed cats.
Legend of the Sunken Treasure on the Florida Keys The entire length of the Great Florida Reef, known as the Florida Keys, has for centuries been the graveyard of sunken vessels. The Spanish Empire lost an estimated $100,000,000 in treasure while being transported back in galleons. These ships were sometimes just the victims of the currents, but more often were victims of fierce hurricanes that dashed entire flotillas upon the jagged rocks and beaches of the Florida Keys. Notorious pirates such as Lafitte, Kidd, Morgan, Teach and Black Caesar made the Keys their operational headquarters. Even to this day, after a storm, gold and silver coins will wash up on one of the beaches in the Keys, to the delight of some tourist or native.

Challenge #19 by BreetheFlea, on Flickr I have wanted to do a page about the Barbie Townhouse I had as a kid, but didn't have any photos... so I found some on the internet. I could not get it to print as a 4 by 6 so the photo is a little smaller, but the rest stuck to the sketch. I tried to add some extra sparkle because Barbie... Thanks joyfulnana for the sketch
