Ok you guys have to settle an argument. If I asked you to bring me a bag of plain chips, what would you bring? Now if I asked you to bring me a bag of plain pretzels, what would you bring? A bag of original Lays and a bag of regular, salted pretzels. I asked for pretzels. Snyder's because the plain pretzels are vegan. He came home with nothing. Because? They didn't have any unsalted pretzels. Just for clarity I've made sure to tell him I never want unsalted chips, pretzels, tortilla chips. I will never ever ask for it. And he told me never to use the word plain again. I'm just shaking my head. |

Happy happy birthday scrappintoee and AussieMegI hope you both enjoy your day. austnscrapaddict how stressful for you I have a pork tenderloin, delicata squash, salad and tomatoes & cucumbers to use for dinner. I also have the last of the apples from Apple picking to use up so possibly cake or muffins. jeremysgirl I didnāt realize pretzels would ever come unsalted. Iād have bought layās or Ruffles chips. christine58 my dd went to their friendās wedding in India this year. They needed traditional clothes and were told what colors. She was able to borrow things from our friends but my sil had to have his made when he got there. The groomās father arranged it. He also paid for their accommodations. |

Ruffles (I like ridges) and pretzel sticks (though the seasonal pumpkin shaped ones are fun too. But I prefer sticks, the thin ones with salt. Pretzels MUST have salt. If not š¤¢ |

I think Iām doing pretty good. The worst pain is when Iām getting up or laying down but it subsides pretty quickly. Of course Iām still on a ton of meds but trying to only do it he big hitter pain meds when it gets really bad. |

Sending happy birthday wishes and thanks to y'all who tagged me in the 9/20 dinner thread. š„³š Hopefully next month's ENT appointment will be more helpful.
DH and I spent the day driving around rural Virginia yesterday. We drove by James Madison's home (Montpelier), through an apple orchard, and then onto our final destination of Walton's Mountain Museum. It was his mom's favorite show. We had a late lunch/early dinner in Charlottesville before heading home.
Today, we did flu and COVID boosters in the morning, and a lazy day apart from that. He's making steak and a potato for us to share for dinner now.

Happy Birthday AussieMeg and scrappintoee ! leannec I hope you're feeling better and your headache is gone. **GypsyGirl** I am so happy to hear that your husband is doing better. I decided not to go in to work today and just go in tomorrow. Hubby and I went out for breakfast and then I came home and did a small load of laundry. After that I finished off a puzzle that was given to me for my birthday. I can't wait to start my new eeBoo puzzle. They seem to be my favorite right now. For dinner I made ground beef tacos with guacamole. |

My friends knows someone who went to one in Italy in August. The groomās family reserved an entire island off Venice for 4 days all expenses except airfare. I want to get invited to one like that. Dd said she was pleasantly surprised at the food choices. A lot of vegetarian. Sheās exceptionally picky. They also did a couple days in the Himalayas since they were there. My friend who loaned her the outfits just had her DDās wedding here. No one from India came and they didnāt have any of her traditions. I was surprised since they go twice a year to see their family. |

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes everyone! And wishing my birthday twin scrappintoee an extra special happy birthday! DSO and I went to my favourite cafĆ© for breakfast. I had the loaded Breakfast Croissant: ā Freshly baked croissant with an olive, caper & chorizo sugo. Filled with rocket, bacon, fried halloumi, hollandaise, cherry basil tomatoes & two poached eggs. Finished with sriracha cream & dukkah.ā It was so delicious, and HUGE. Itās my sonās birthday tomorrow (Tuesday), and we usually have the family dinner on the day in between our birthdays. But this year we thought weād have dinner on my birthday, because it fell on a Sunday, and itās easier for people to get there. We went to a local pub bistro. I had the salmon, which was really good. jeremysgirl what can I say? Like everyone else here, āplainā to me just means no fancy flavours, it does NOT mean no salt! tmarschall I buy raw unsalted cashews to use in cooking (butter chicken etc), but ugh, unsalted or even lightly salted cashews just to snack on? No thanks! |

Plain chips would be Lays. In the yellow bag. Pretzels would be Dots Original Pretzels, because Dot's pretzels are the only pretzels worth eating IMO.
Dinner tonight was Lobster Mac and cheese. I had 2 bowls, and am now miserable. (Not to mention I made Lobster rolls for lunch).
