No…but we both work from home and no longer have kids in school.

seaexplore At my annual wellness visit today, she'd asked if I'd had my 2nd opinion visit at a different ENT yet (not yet, it's in 2 weeks), but she did say she thinks that my woes are related to my right ear. Left ear always looks fine, even when I have an infection, but the right one always seems like it's blocked (even partially) and has some fluid behind it. She didn't give me any antibiotics, but if I'm still feeling meh next week, I'll follow up with her. She thinks it's eustachian tube dysfunction, so hopefully that will (finally) get me some answers when I see the new ENT. I'm just sick of all these infections this year!

rymeswithpurple I've had different ear issues from yours, but I did have one ENT recommend a balloon procedure to open up my eustachian tube. Insurance wouldn't cover it (because it was more hearing related v sinus related) so I went for a second opinion before paying out of pocket. New ENT asked if my ears popped/opened when doing the valsalva maneuver (blowing out while holding nose) and I said yes. He said that instantly showed him it wasn't a eustachian tube issue that was causing the "fullness" in my ear. So maybe try to valsalva and see what happens, then provide that info to doc. #notadoctor! so take this with several grains of salt!

anniebeth24 Thanks! I'll take any ideas I can at this point! I had the balloon dilation for my sinuses in '18 (6 years ago tomorrow, actually!), and I definitely realized how much I *wasn't* smelling before, but ear pain just sucks.
