grammadee, your gnome cards are adorable! jjpeapea, your cards are very cute, but now I am craving sugar….. I love candy canes in every sense of the word. joblackford, your animal cards with that background are gorgeous. angel97701, your bright and cheery Christmas cards are lovely. Shakti, I apologize for accidentally posting to your thread instead of this one. I was tired, and trying to get too many things done before we left town. Thanks for letting me know where it was actually posted. Your cards are cute, but I would love to see a slightly larger image. They are hard to see well. I clicked on the image, but it took me to an enlargement that seemed blank. I know there was an image, but either the site or my computer weren’t cooperating. gramma, I assume that we were supposed to use different sentiments as in different types of sayings, such as birthday, sympathy, etc., but I need mainly birthday cards right now, so I used different birthday sentiments. I’m not playing for points, so I figured that I can cheat a bit. I loved your examples, and I really liked this sketch and challenge.

At first, I read this as a design critique and thought, "But that's the size my cutaparts were!" Caffeine is a wonder drug ! Fixed the images. I'd say I was under-caffeinated when I accidentally posted thumbnails instead of hotlines, but really I was just rushing too much

scrapnnana Your birthday cards are great! I'm sure the different birthday sentiments work, and the idea is to build your stash according to gramma!

Almost everything I used is paper and ephemera from Paper Rose Studio’s Animal Kindgom collection so I can’t take any credit. They use some really beautiful color palettes.

Sorry this is late - the site was down last night and I'm just plain slow this morning. Your challenge is to use the same set of papers for four cards. You can use a variety of sentiments or all the same. You can make your main focus piece from a printable download from the internet, a die cut, a paper piecing or whatever. Thats it hope you have fun with this one. CARDTOBER #21 CUT TEMPLATE And the samples

Linda, your cards are lovely, and I’m impressed that you got all 3 sets done today. The green paper on the vertical strips of the butterfly set is really pretty. Your birthday set is fun and cute, and your poinsettia set is beautiful. I love the music and poinsettia papers. Great job!

Here is my set of cards. The background is more cream than it looks in the photo, and the card fronts haven’t been mounted on the plain card bases yet, but the card bases will be cream colored.

Linda Wow you did so much. Your cards are lovely. You'll have so many great cards ready to go. scrapnnana tags instead of a panel - that's cute and clever. What beautiful tags. grammadee each card so unique with special features. Nice! gramma thank you for the multiples sketch. These came together nicely. My images are from a cut apart calendar that I was determined to use.

Last one from me. This time you can make this two different ways. One is to just make the front - and you're done. Second you can make the inside and include a pocket on the lower half for a sentiment card or a gift card. If you choose to do this way remember to only apply adhesive to the side and bottom of the piece leaving to top part open so you can insert your item I hope you have enjoyed my simple cards and were able to build yourselves a small stash. Thank you for playing along. CARDTOBER 28 by CLAUDIA LOVELESS, on Flickr

Your pocket card looks really fun to put together, gramma. Thinking that it would be fun to make with a strip of cs and a couple of folds, just gluing the sides... My fingers are itching to get started on this, but all my cutting equipment is still out in the vehicle waiting to be dragged back into the house after the crop. Thanks for this and all your other CARDtober challenges!

Cute Christmas cards, grammadee. Lovely florals, jjpeapea. Shakti, nice holiday cards. I really like the snowflake paper you used, and the silver die cut snowflake. Your bee themed pocket card is super cute, gramma .

I am still not sure I grok this challenge. When you say we can do just the front, does that mean just make a sort of overlapping gate fold? Or an uneven front? I was hoping that I'd "get" it more when more people posted their examples, but so far, no dice.

gramma, it’s a really cute card, and I love your bee theme. I love anything to do with bees. I did have a bit of trouble with this one, since I had to figure out the measurements myself. I did one, then realised that I had messed up, so I am going to try again. I’ll add my cards later. Linda , your bee card is also very cute!

You don’t know how tempted I was to use bee papers, too, but I decided to do a baby card instead. So, if I understood the card design correctly, the top is just a flap that opens, and the inside has a pocket. Anyway, this is my version.

I never did quite figure out what it meant "to just make the front - and you're done," but I don't care for pocket cards particularly and also have an irrational beef against cards that don't stand on display. So, here is my extremely loose interpretation: I guess I sort of did the opposite of the example -- not making the pocket, I wanted more white space on the inside for sentiment and message.

I just realized that I left off a piece on the front of my cards. Oops. I may fix it later. Right now I’m too tired. jjpeapea , your dragonfly and butterfly cards are lovely. Shakti , I like how you rotated the card and adapted it for your pretty Christmas cards. gramma , thank you, for all your hard work and beautiful examples.

Here are my pocket cards, gramma. These are 5x7, so the pocket is big enough to hold my Christmas letter, especially since I followed the advice angel97701 gave me this morning to use foam strips to glue the edges. I can actually see myself making more of these. Ct 28 30 31 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr
