Benny's SPACESHIP! A Samsung compact system camera. That is awesome, I want the spaceship too, but mostly just for unikitty in her space outfit! You are going to have so much fun putting it together! It's all done now, it looks awesome and was a lot of fun

DH and the kids gave me an IPad Air. That totally blew me out of the water. My mom gave me a wool afghan and pillow that were made for my grandmother over 100 years ago by her best friend. It is gorgeous and matches my living room to a tee. I adore it. Between that and 6 bottles of wine and 3 pounds of chocolate I am in Christmas gift heaven.

DH bought me a bluetooth speaker. It was the only thing I really wanted. My exhusband got our stereo in the divorce and there really wasn't a way for me to listen to music. This way I can play music off of my phone. I listened to music all day on Christmas.

The spaceship looks great. I got the two big creative kits, Pet Shop and Parisian Cafe. One more social obligation this afternoon then sweet freedom and crazy lego time until January 5!

I can't choose this year. My hubby gave me a matching Vera Bradley purse and wallet, a nice suit for work, and rag wool socks. My daughter gave me some crafter's gloves for my arthritic hands. What kind of gloves are they and where do you get them? My mom's hands are pretty bad with arthritis, and I fear my hands will be also. I am really interested in them! Thanks! ETA: Well, "Santa" bought me a Samsung Galaxy tablet. Ok, I bought it for myself, but since I've been Santa for quite a few years, I can say that Santa brought it for me! My coworkers got me a $50 Walmart gift certificate which I used to buy a cat tree for my cat. I've been wanting to get her one for awhile, but could never really justify the expense. So you could say I did buy something for myself because I saved $50 which enabled me to get the tablet! They also bought me a big tub of popcorn, and a 3-wick Bath & Bodyworks candle! So it was a very nice Christmas for me despite not being with my family.

They are Simplicity brand and she picked them up at our local Walmart. I don't know if they will be helpful for me or not, but it was sweet of her.

I love reading all of these. I cracked up at the "selfie stick". How fun that everyone was able to laugh about it and have a good time with it.
Jonda, I loved reading your story. I'm so sad you're still having a rough going it, but how wonderful that you have some wonderful friends and family to give you a loving and helpful hand

My favorite gift was a set of Anne of Green Gables DVDs from my mom. We watched those movies together when I was a tween/teen. Now I'm going to watch them with my DD.

I bought myself an iPad Mini 3 and it arrived on the 24th - I'm in love with it already...lol I've been sick the past couple months and s friend got me a BBT stuffed cat that plays Soft Kitty when you press its's paw... We don't usually exchange more than a bottle or little gadget, so something so comforting was a sweet surprise... My mom found an old travel guide of one of my favourite places at a library used book table and I love looking at all the detailed maps in it... My dad gave me tickets to an aquarium and we'll make a day of it... I asked for that for my birthday last year so 'just as I had forgotten about it'...lol He likes giving fake out type gifts

My favorite gift is a Keurig. We just got a regular one not the new 2.0 version but I really like it a lot.

I have 3. DH got me another Bose bluetooth speaker so I don't have to keep schlepping the one I keep in the kitchen upstairs when I clean up there or get ready to go out. He totally surprised me with an Etsy GC. And DS got me a Vivien Maier photography book.

Our two daughters/sons-in-law, granddaughter all together. We went to my brother's with all of his family Christmas evening. That's all of my family. As far as I know we're all healthy--a real blessing! My husband did well with a purple Coach bag (and money to put in it) . I loved all of my gifts.

My MIL surprised me with a new Henkel knife block set. A totally unexpected gift. She knows how much I love to cook and thought I would like it. She was right. We've lost most of the knives we received for it wedding 13 years ago and have been replacing them one at a time over the past few years, but this is a much higher quality set them what I've been buying myself. New kitchen stuff makes me so happy.

We moved into a new house this fall so along with it came some new furniture, a media room and popcorn maker and a new 9ft beautiful Christmas tree. I'm eternally thankful to be able to move into a new house so I told my husband that he didn't have to buy me anything this year but he and my daughter went out shopping and picked out some nice small gifts that I love; I got a new cast iron grill for our stove, a new blanket that matches our couch, a new Yankee Candle tart warmer and a bottle of lovely perfume that I recently discovered. I love all of them equally because my daughter took notes and bought everything that I asked for!

My favorite gift is a professional photographer's print of a building on the island of Torcello in Italy. I visited there in October so this will be a nice memory of my trip. Now I just need to need to have it framed so that I can display it!

It is really hard to choose this year. My mom got me some some really nice and yet comfortable clothes. It meant a lot because my mother is one of those women who will dress to the 9s just to get the mail. I am not comfortable in that style. I like to be more casual, and she finally heard me. I got elected to the school board and we had some interesting convos re: how she thinks I should dress for board meetings - the problem being the types of things she was suggesting were 3 levels more formal than anyone else wears. While I agree with her that I`d like to see a bit more from us as a board than the current dress standards (or lack thereof), what Ma was suggesting was too big a leap. So the fact that she took the time to find me some things that are comfortable enough that I`ll feel good in them, yet still business casual, was nice.
My mom, who is constantly saying I have too many stamps, got me some SU stuff I wanted, too! Well, I bought $100 worth of stuff & and she wrapped it, plus gave me a card with $100 in it. I honestly had been so busy at the time I ordered it (it was their Black Friday sale thing) that I had NO recollection of what I`d ordered... I`d adjusted my list so many times to stay on budget that I was drawing a blank on what I`d finally decided to get & what I decided to skip. So I was genuinely surprised to open the stuff & see it.
And my brother & sister in law got me an Auntie mug!
Last, but definitely not least, my uncle, who was also my godfather & probably the greatest man I`ve ever known, died in August. My aunt remembered something I`d said about one of his old hats and gave it to me (along with some spending $$, but it was the hat that really meant the most).

I had a very kitchen-y Christmas and that's excellent.
My favorites are a fermenting crock, a gorgeous end-grain walnut cutting board, and a dehydrator.

My most touching gift was the peppermint & white choc biscotti that our oldest DD made. In college, just finishing the semester before she came home, working 2 busy jobs and never particularly domestic, I thought it was such a thoughtful gift and it was awesome! She brought packs of 5 each for me, DH, each of her sibs and grandparents. Then she had really neat gifts along with it, each packaged in a box...I got a lb of locally roasted (in her college town) coffee beans and a tangerine lemongrass candle.
Besides that, my rival gift was 4 glass bead Pandora charms from each of the kids (bought by DH from them) in each of their birthstone colors.
So fun to read what everyone's fave gifts are....

My favorite gifts were the ornaments with grandson #2 & #5's hand print on them. #5 is only 4 months old, and she had a hard time getting his whole hand open at the same time, so there are only 2 fingers and a thumb, but I love. Grandsons #1 and #3 did their handprints on a mug. Soo cute, and dishwasher safe, too!

Seriously the meat slicer. Sliced up the eye of round roast in half the time it takes me to hand slice. Nice thin even slices. Love it!

My son gave me new winter riding gloves, and I LOOVE them. Dh got me a gorgeous Willow Tree figurine, called You and Me. It's super romantic, just a really sweet one although I love all Willow Tree and have collected quite a few. My other favorite gift was a new set of dishes, that I picked out. I was amazed when I found these, they are just so me, and the perfect colors for my kitchen. He got me the dishes, bowls, and platters. So beautiful!
I love hearing what everyone is enjoying.

I got a flat, electric pan for baking things like lefse, flatbread and tortillas. It's a traditional kitchen item in Norway called steketakke. Maybe it's similar to what is called a heritage grill in the US? I have wanted one for so long

Resurrecting the thread since I missed it the other day....
I got a bunch of surprises. To start with the ultra cheesy answer, the biggest gift I got was the look on DD's face then the tears when she realized I got her an iPhone 6. She has never been that surprised in her whole life. I got one, too, but in this case, the giving was better.
I got a very nice set of steak knives, an armoire, and a Clinique Purifying System. After Christmas, I bought myself some Willow Tree Nativity pieces at 1/2 off (soooo excited - I might put it in the china cabinet to stay out all year).
