I love love love Beatboxing Fitness with Bev and Hailey. Saw them on TikTok and subscribed. I love the music BUT, they just go a little too “fast” for me. Is there something similar with fun current music and/or oldies that seems more like dancing than working out? Thanks in advance for any ideas.
For the record I don’t have any other workout apps, so give me the lowdown on what’s available and what you like!👍🏻

Is this on YouTube? You can slow down videos on YouTube, but of course it will also slow down the music though. Click on the gear symbol to change the speed.

When my knees were good, I just loaded up my iPod with music I like, grabbed a pair of light handweights, and moved as I saw fit. I did a little bit of kickboxing, country moves, and just plain dancing with arm movements. You can use the moves they do in the beatbox videos, but just do them to music more suited for you.

I love EmKfit on youtube. She is young, and can go fast, but her newer videos have modified or low impact smaller videos embedded. Or she will demonstrate the lower impact moves. Vids are short due to licensing issues with music, but she also has a Patreon membership. www.youtube.com/emkfit

You could check out view with Jo on YouTube. It’s free. She uses pretty simple moves and is easy to follow.

I used to do workouts with PopSugar on YouTube. There was a lot to choose from and they were good. I used to have a membership for the Les Mills app and it was great. They are likely to run some sort of a Black Friday deal in the next few weeks. I let it go when I started using the Peloton app for spinning. I now have a full Peloton membership with the bike. I think the app costs $24 a month and if you use it regularly it’s worth it. They have all sorts of classes with great music. They are always adding new workouts.
