Since I lost mine 🤦🏼♀️ I went ahead and upgraded - just to an SE. I know I haven’t even touched the surface of what I could be using it for- other than a watch and alarm!
What are some things you do with your Apple Watch that you find productive, useful or just fun?!

I use it for notifications (text, IG, home monitors, etc) when I don’t want to pull my phone out. I also use it to track my steps for the day. I have used the camera timer function before to take photos, and I can also check to see if we are all in the photo. And I use Apple Pay with it. Those are my main uses.

I set a timer every time I start a load of laundry. It helps me keep the laundry rotation going so I don’t forget a load. Easy peasy.

I have a Samsung rather than an Apple, but I track every workout with it, check my body fat composition (how accurate it is, I'm not sure, but I could at least watch my progress while losing weight); set timers, control Spotify, check text and calls (obviously), check my EKG if I feel palpitations, etc.
I don't really use it for much more than that because I prefer it to mainly be a watch that tracks my activity and lets me know if I have a call or message. And it finds my phone for me if I set it down somewhere. Most important, I can easily see it in the dark in patient rooms!
I'll be watching this thread to see if there is anything I'm missing out on, because mine probably has the android equivalent.

I got mine to use as my heart rate monitor that connects quickly to my Peloton. I use it as a timer, alarm clock, and just as a regular watch.

(Disclaimer: I have an SE that has cell service, so not all of this applies to every watch.)
Mostly activity tracking. I like closing those rings! I have my Reminders app as a complication on the home screen so I can quickly see what still needs to be done. I use the Strong app to track workouts at the gym. I also have an app on there that shows me a new Spanish word to learn on the home screen every day. I do sometimes use it to stream Spotify or Audible without having to carry my phone around, but that feature is less reliable than I'd hoped. I like being able to look at notifications without finding my phone first. Oh I can also take calls through it when I don't have my phone nearby.

I use my iwatch for notifications and daily steps as well. I also like using it for the Mindfulness breathing feature, and selecting the different Workout things (tennis, outdoor walk, cooldown, etc.) so I can get credit for my daily steps. I also use the heart BPM monitor. I don't use the afib one because I already have afib so it isn't useful for me.

I'm sure there is a lot more I could be using mine for as well. I use it for: ~ notifications ~ counting steps ~ closing my rings (exercise / stand / KJs used) ~ tracking workouts ~ tracking walking routes ~ weather ~ taking phone calls if my phone is not within reach ~ measuring heart rate - my football team was beaten in the semi final in a very close match, and when my son sent me a text just before the end of the match, to ask how my heart was holding up, I was able to send him a photo of my heart rate at 142 bpm ! I need to work out how to use it as a camera self-timer, and also as a time for cooking etc.

I need to work out how to use it as a camera self-timer, It is really easy. Open the camera on your phone. Then tap the camera icon on your watch. You'll be able to see what the camera sees. Then you can take the picture right away, or set the timer for either 3 or 10 seconds. You can even control the zoom, and also take videos.

Almost never. I love mine and it’s an Apple Watch 9 but I broke my left wrist twice and my arm once and it makes my arms throb. I think a $10 clip on pedometer is in my future. I love my watch, though.

I mostly use my watch to ping my phone to find it. LOL! This feature is life-changing. I use it most often as an "auxiliary phone" screen calls quick-reply to texts check the weather track my workouts set timer (ALL THE TIME) check heart rate It allows me to keep my phone on silent at all times without missing calls, texts, or calendar reminders (the watch notifies me by haptics). This is huge, and I'm grateful for it every time I hear someone's phone sounding at church! I don't want to have to remember whether I turned off the sound or not. When I've had seriously ill family members, it was a big deal to be able to quickly check a new message without stopping class to dig out my phone. I love the camera remote feature, too! I don't use it that often, though.

These things usually are after someone who knows more than we do tells us how to do it.

I probably don't use mine nearly as much as I could. Mostly I use it for tracking my walks or other exercise, doing the monthly challenges, and lately I've been letting it monitor my sleep because I was curious to see how it worked. That's about it. lol

I use the chronograph face on mine, so I have several complications visible on mine. I use mine for weather, heart rate monitor, workouts, activity tracker, and to display my blood sugar.
The most important feature though is to ping my cell phone so I can find it!

I use mine for: * notifications * counting steps * weather * taking phone calls if my phone is not within reach * laundry timer (or any other timer needed, I think you can now do more than 1 timer at a time too) * mine has cellular and I have the fall detection on, so if I should fall down my basement stairs I can get help (I currently live alone, and I'm paranoid) * Starbucks app, so I just pay with the app on my watch (earn more stars for free stuff if you pay with the app) * camera timer when needed I have the Modular face on mine: Messages, date, time, weather, timer, Starbucks, Zero app - all fit on the watch face (I freaking love this!!!!)

Mine has the cell service, so I don’t need my phone nearby. So I do like it if I go on a walk and don’t want to bring my phone.
Although, I really only use my watch for the camera remote feature. I need my readers in order to see the face on my watch for all of the functions besides the clock face. So it is such a pain to have to go find my glasses anytime I want to look at my watch!
I thought I needed this watch so badly and it was going to make my life so much better but I really could live without it. But, I don’t want to tell my husband that, lol!

I look at my sleep patterns. It’s helped me realize why I feel like shit some days.
It also diagnosed my atrial fibrilation (afib). I now take meds for that.
keeping track of steps is also helpful
i can answer the phone on mine
i love mine. I do wish it was prettier.

Not as much as I should, but I love what I do use it for. First and foremost, it’s a watch and I always wore a watch every day before I had it. I also use it to quickly look at notifications, check the weather, ask Siri questions, use it as a timer, use it as an alarm, track my steps and my sleep. I haven’t used it as a camera shutter remote yet but will someday.

I guess I do a lot more than I thought on my watch! I'm intrigued by the camera timer but haven't used it yet! Great ideas for the timer - so simple but I didn't think of it.
I like previewing my messages and notifications without grabbing for my phone. I don't really use it to reply at all.
Thanks for your input!
