I remember the thread from last year. I love Halloween decor in all of its forms. This wouldn't bother me one bit.

She's all in for sure. Fun!

She really is all in! Our HQ building goes all out with costume contests, a carry in and prizes. Those of us out in the field offices are usually a little less so.

Doesn't bother me. Good for her. Is it public facing at all? I've been seeing all these TTs trashing people for having 'scary' Halloween decorations on their lawns and HOW DARE THEY when it's little kids that are trick-or-treating. I have to admit, I'm pretty sick of everything being offensive and a 'thing' lately.

I don't have a 'problem' with it other than I think for an office it was a bit much. She would have her office dark and meeting students in there with the door shut. That is really unprofessional and frankly as a student I might be a little weirded out by it. My thoughts are you don't know who you are meeting and this could really be disturbing to some people.
I'm all about decorating and all that, but it was the gory over the top theme.
I just posted all in fun though... I don't dwell on it or anything.

I remember and thought she went too far, considering she works with children.

HS students would enjoy this. Elementary age, not so much. Dark room with door closed--I think a kid who has had abuse would be frightened too much. Can you imagine if a family member has been abusing you at night--how would this be OK for that kid to be told, "Come into my dark room, now close the door--"

That's tame compared to my last employer. We went ALL OUT for halloween. One team did the American Horror Story as a theme and one of the team members ate something to foam at the mouth! Pretty gross but also pretty great!

Pretty gross but also pretty great! Dang!!! The commercials for AMS creep me out.. I have never watched it.. lol I want to say I don't think it is wrong to go all out for decorating... Just bringing in students to her dark office to discuss their financial aid just doesn't seem right.. lol

LOL it was me that Peatlejuiced (Peatlegeused?) the photos from last year! While it doesn’t offend me personally, I could appreciate that some people could find it triggering due to previous domestic abuse. So for that reason I think it’s somewhat inappropriate for a school office even if it’s a college.
