Did anyone watch? I thought she did a great job outlining her ideas and expertly avoided the pitfalls Bret Baier tried to set out for her. He clearly tried to get her to fall into the trap Clinton ran into 8 years ago when she called Trump followers “deplorables,” but Harris refused to characterize them in negative terms. I thought she used the time wisely to both stay positive and to share some truths Fox viewers don’t normally hear.

She did well considering that Baier kept interrupting her. He is tough; I remember when he interviewed Obama. And even Obama was flustered at points of the interview. Kudos to her for entering the lion’s den.
So, now will Trump go on MSNBC and be interviewed by Lawrence? ☺️☺️☺️

The issue is that that most of the trumpies decided that fox entertainment was not far right enough and they have largely moved to Newsmax and/or OAN. They also dont want to listen to anything but the lies they are being fed on those channels, so likely most of them will not see the interview

I turned on Fox  last night and the interview was already over. Don Jr was yapping and the bottom ticker said KH had imploded on the the interview. Then I realized the source and turned it off. I saw snippets here and there. It wasn't an awesome interview, but it's more than YamTits has done lately, like he wouldn't even do 60 min bc he was going to be fact checked, so... I think she was brave to go into the Lion's Den, but am sure no one was swayed.... The only thing I am grateful for is that it doesn't seem that Fox got it's soundbite that they so wanted. |

I thought Bret Baier came off like a total dick and Kamala held her own just fine. She answered every question (even with him talking over her) and didn't fall for any of his quick bait crap. At least the Fox viewership was able to hear from Kamala herself and could see she clearly isn't "dumb and stupid" as Trump likes to describe her to be.

I only saw clips of the interview. I mean if they weren't going to let her answer any questions, what was the point? I think she held her own and wouldn't take his bait. I think they wanted to make her into an angry black woman and I don't think that happened. But Bret sure looked like an angry white man...a la Brett Kavanaugh.
One thing I did read is that a lot of the stuff she said about trump was deliberate because it's stuff FAUX news doesn't air. So if trump humpers were watching, it will make them google it and they will find out it is true. Good plan in my opinion.

I didn't see the whole interview but what I saw was impressive. She didn't take his bait and laid out the course or her presidency. She didn't stoop to name calling like TFG does and I thought she did really well.

I hope I can find it today to watch. I was at choir and missed it. I am sure DH watched it. However, to keep peace in the house, we had to have a moratorium of no discussing. The discussion always devolves. Ya know, because I pull out facts and dispute but what do I know?
While I have no love for Fox, I do admit to having seen a couple of their longtime folks popping back at some of the lies. Even Bret has called out someone. I think because of all the pre-press talk out there, he felt he needed to come at her hard. If not getting the answers "they" wanted, interrupt. Change the tack. By no means defending him or the channel but I think there is still pandering to a certain type and they must try to make her look bad. I am glad to hear that they seem to have failed on that.
I do know if anyone was watching, they will still have nothing to say good about her. Will not see how she can converse and discuss and their little g god, can't. They just won't.

Earlier in the day Harris gave a speech (outside) and her audience included over 100 Republican politicians that support her. They aired it on Fox surprisingly and the speech was very good  I lost what little respect I may have had for Bret Bair - what a jerk. |

I think she was trying to answer. But what many people who were listening were expecting was everything spelled out down to the bullet point of how she was going to accomplish everything. That is NOT a bad thing to want and expect…however, this was a short interview; she had limited time; She was having to use valuable time to get answers out over the host. But you saw enough bullet points of what she wants to do or believes in that you can certainly go to other sources if you want to see more, as she has a lot of information out there. But as you can tell, I am already for Harris. I have listen to her and researched a lot on various issue. Conversely, I am really trying to understand how some people are so insistent that Trump has laid out everything that he is going to do so perfectly on day one. I have listen to far too many speeches, interviews, and transcripts (for my taste) and truly can not find anywhere where he actually answers questions or follow up questions on anything he says other than the same short blurbs. He sticks to those blurbs and then just seems to fill around them with weird rambling stuff. If you have any good interviews where Trump really answers questions and gives how he will produce his miraculous results starting day one, I would love a link or just tell me where to look. I truly am interested in trying to understand some family’s and coworkers’ comments and would love to learn more on why and how they got to various conclusions. |
