Now, boots. I truly just after Blundstone boots. One of these days, I'll bite the bullet. Do you have them? Love them or hate them? And would you recommend a dupe? I have two pair of Blundstone's and I freaking LOOOOVE them! One pair are black and the other are brown ... I'm a teacher and I can work in them all day with no pain! They are expensive but worth it!

Raw honey is much different than processed honey. Raw honey is straight from the hive, basically. It has not been heated for an extended time or processed and filtered.
To warm it up and de-crystalize, just put the jar/bottle in a pan and warm slowly. Crystalizing does not hurt the honey.
Do not microwave it.

Why not microwave? I thought I read somewhere you could.

It can make the plastic bottle melt, or the glass bottle explode, if done too long. Slow heating is best for the honey, too.

Love Blundstones!
I am on my 5th pair. I wear them to school until they become a bit ratty. Then, I wear them in the garden.

Honey crystallises because of the inherent properties of the sugars. If you store it somewhere a little warmer it won't happen so quickly but even if its crystallised it's still perfectly edible. Maybe store it in a different container so you can get out a little spoonful for your tea and it's soon melt in there..

I've read that honey that doesn't crystallize is usually mixed with syrup or otherwise adulterated. So there's that.
I love those boots, but can't really justify the expense in a climate where I'd only wear them a couple of months out of the year (and then only sporadically).

As your next door neighbor, it will be Septemberish through April? DD has approved the Dr Scholls so I'll give those a look.

I have been eyeing something similar and need something comfortable for my feet.

I expect honey to crystallize so never thought to reliquify it. I'm generally towards the end of the container when it happens and just spoon what I want into my yogurt. I kind of enjoy the change in texture from the crystals in the yogurt and wouldn't think it would make any difference melting into your tea.

I have these link. Well, actually mine are slightly different—they’re lined with fleece. My Docs are a little less expensive than the Blundstones and they are comfy and were comfy straight out of the box.

Word for word. I have brown ones and black ones (my black ones have plaid on the elastic side panels). They are my go-to boots because they are comfy and sturdy and water-resistant enough that unless it is pouring absolute buckets or is snowing, my feet are dry. I have had both pairs for about four years and they look totally fine and the soles aren’t worn through. The only downside is they aren’t dressy, so they aren’t always appropriate for me for what I am wearing to work.

I didn't realise that people were wearing them as a fashion item. I thought they were just a work book. I bought a pair of Blunnies (yes, of course we shorten the name ) way back in the 80s or 90s. Mine were scuffed, because I used them as my motorbike riding boots, and also for horse riding (infrequently). I still have them in my wardrobe, but I haven't been able to wear them since 1997, when my daughter was born. I put on half a shoe size with my first pregnancy, and another half size with my second pregnancy. My beautiful size 8.5 Blunnies no longer fit my 9.5 size hobbit foot.

Apparently I’m in the minority. I have a pair of Blundstones. They are not comfortable at all. I wear them because they look great with most of my fall winter outfits but I was hoping they would be way more comfortable than they are. In this case, it’s fashion over function for me.

I asked if they were Blundstones and she said no, Docs. She days they were sos very comfy. And those look like the ones I got from Target. I do think the Dr Scholls have the sole of BSs. Or at least looking at the pictures, they do. I did get brown. The ones from Target are black. I may give them both a chance.

I only buy raw local honey and yes it does crystalize, but I'm getting it in a jar and not a bottle so it's easy to spoon out. I like it like that, I eat it with almonds and it's better than a candy bar to me.
As for the boots, I'm wearing something similar to the Target pair but mine are cheapies from H&M.
I don't like those Blundstones in the pic by themselves, but they're super cute on that model! Therefore they'd probably NOT look good on me! I've never even heard of that brand. Going back under my rock now.

FYI, I happened to be looking around on Poshmark and there are lots of Blundstone boots there, NIB, for significant discounts.

Raw honey will crystallize much faster. I get the big bottle of non-raw honey from Costco for baking/easy pouring and then if we want it for tea or toast we get something local. You can transfer it to a small jar or something for easier access. I actually have a half full bottle of crystallized honey that I've been ignoring for way too long that I need to do something about.

I have a pair of Blundstones. I really like them. I can't wear them for hours and hours, walking around everywhere - they don't give me enough support (e.g. I wouldn't wear them into NYC for a day). But I can wear them to work perfectly fine. They look great and they've held up great.

I open this thread. And my dd happens to be here visiting. I showed her the Dr. Scholls. She said "cute mom!" lol. Just ordered a pair.

Raw honey has great benefits. It will crystallize quicker than pasteurized store bought honey. Do not microwave it, that kills all the goodness. I just stick my jar into some warm water if I need it liquid. Otherwise I just use it as is.

these are the exact boots I have and I have worn them regularly for about last 5 years. when I have travelled, I also use them about 90% of the time for most of my 20-25k steps days! my legs ache significantly less than when just wearing running shoes. I was lucky to get them new for $50 when I saw them on FB - my youngest son's bff was selling as they fit her but when she put her orthotics in they were a bit snug so had just worn them around the house. so *that* was a score but I would actually pay full price for replacements when they do finally die. waaay better investment than spending $120 every 2-3 years. I wear mine a LOT and still in great shape, soles as well. big thumbs up for me. I hate honey.

Well, I am glad this popped back up. I know for sure I ordered those boots on Saturday. I, unfortunately, did not take a screen shot when the order was done. I was doing it through FB and had free shipping. When I checked QVC this morning, there was no order. There is also no transaction on my CC. I also found the email signed up was an older email. I checked that and still no order. But now I am panicked. I did go to the QVC website and placed another order. All proper spots checked and I see that new order. So we will see if I get 2 pairs or just the one. The first order was promised by 10/31. This newer order by 11/1. So now I sit and wait...

Last year I splurged on a pair of Chelsea boots from Ariat. The style is similar, but the heel on the Ariat is more my style. I love them but have not worn them as much as I thought I would.
