Good morning,
Somehow, I caught a stupid cold. I will not be practicing my aria. I hope to do a little label making on my Cricut. If not, I'll just rest and watch bad television.
What's everyone up to today?
Dinner is rechauffe fajitas. What's on your menu?
Wishing everyone a fun, relaxing day that makes you grin. AussieMeg, wishing you an easy day at work.

Oh no, scrapmaven! I hope it passes quickly and you feel better soon. Mine is definitely on the way out and I think spending 2 days at home doing nothing really helped. This morning, I'm making a breakfast casserole to take to my sister's house to watch the Seahawks game at noon. My cousins are still in town until Tuesday so I think they might be going to see my nephew at a brewery he works at in the city. If I go with, I'll probably grab dinner there or if not, I've got some ready made options from TJs. I'll play it by ear to see how I'm feeling as I don't want to push it. DS arrives from DC on Friday so I want to make sure I'm good to go by then. Hope you all have a nice day!

Sorry you caught a cold scrapmaven . DH is playing the second day of the tournament. Yesterday, he was 5th in his bracket and his partner was first. Today I'll be making pralines and gumbo in anticipation of my crop starting on Thursday. Dinner might be Burnt Ends.

It's just another Sunday here. We went to church this morning as usual and then came home and I've had football on TV all afternoon while I knit, not really watching it as they're games I just have a passing interest in. Our game was last night, so we missed it as we were out to dinner. Our dinner last night was wonderful, as it always is at the restaurant we went to. We had beyrut hummus and muhammara (red pepper and eggplant dip) with mixed breads, followed by beef and lamb kofta and eggplant parmigiana, with roasted summer vegetables as a side. There was enough left over that I have dinner for tomorrow night as well. Dinner tonight is a vegetable pasta bake. Once again DH is making more than we need, as he's away most of the week (tomorrow afternoon until Friday evening) so I'll have another meal ready to eat. I decided when my new Vegan cookbook arrived last week that I am going to try to cook vegan or at least vegetarian this week while DH is away and see how I go. Tomorrow won't be, as I have left over Kofta, but I'll try for the rest of the week. At best, it will become a more regular way of eating for me (not sure how onboard DH will be, but he's away a lot) and at worst, we'll have a few more vegetable based meals to add to our rotation.

Happy Sunday! Having a slow morning after the wedding last night. Was a beautiful wedding and such a fun reception. The bride and DD have been close friends (and roommates at times) since they were 12. Was so much fun to see all those girls once again. Lots of fun to get dressed up too. Here are DD and I at the photo booth. Heading out to see DH in a few minutes, then back home to finish up some ironing and do some more quilting. Have absolutely no clue what Dinner will be tonight. Hope everyone has a nice Sunday!

Hi everyone. Sorry I didn't come back in to the thread. Had a busy day.
Ds and his friends did a great job singing.
Dd had a blast working at the museum's even all day and is feeling sore today but she did a good job sitting and resting as needed and keeping up on fluids.
Both kids are taking it easy today.
I am doing several loads of laundry I let sit over the last few days. 3 done, 2 more to go.
Dinner will be braised chicken, braised green beans and potatoes, cranberry sauce, and muffins. I am going to finish off the lettuce and make myself a side salad to go with dinner. I am making enough for left overs for tomorrow and will cook up both types of rice (basmati and cauliflower).

Welp I was up at 3:30. I laid back down at 7:30 and rested until 9 but I did not feel like I actually slept. I'm just tired. I'm trying to figure out what to do today. I noticed I was clenching my teeth and I took some ibuprofen for my teeth clenching headache. I just got out of the shower and now it's clear to me that I'm in no shape for the challenging project I had planned.
I will probably crochet. Brainless. It looks like Jeremy wants to watch home improvement shows. That I can tolerate. Dinner will be tofu stir fry.

I thought of pantsonfire whenever a minion came up to my table. scrapmaven, I hope you are feeling better soon. **GypsyGirl** I love your photos! Today is my first *relax* day in a week. We're going to an outdoor seafood place and other than that I'm reading and doing some artwork. Sunday Funday!

Another gorgeous day here! DH is off in an ATV ride with buddies. They will stop at a restaurant for lunch so supper will be leftover roast beef on a bagel.
Walker seems to be healing. He doesn’t squeal when he lays down or gets back up. He really wants to play and doesn’t understand why we won’t play with him or throw his toys. Another few days and he should at least be able to go for a walk.

Great to see you back, Linda. Hope you had a wonderful trip! sueg, your dinner last night sounds amazing. **GypsyGirl**, you and DD look gorgeous. I'm so glad you were both able to relax and enjoy the evening! DH has decided to tackle the kids bathroom today. It has been on the renovation list for a few years and we are frozen with indecision. It is a small bathroom with a double vanity on the left and a door into the tub/shower/toilet on the right. I find the room tight and claustrophobic, so want to take the wall/door out that separates it into two rooms. The value of the door is one can shower while the other still has access to the sinks. In reality, they rarely use the space at the same time. So today DH is taking just the door off to see how they like it before we remove a wall (which means new flooring, etc.). DH also wants to convert the double sink to only one so they have more counter space. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA this did NOT go over well with them. I'm firmly in the better bathroom peace exists when everyone has their own sink side of things. Their problem is both like to have ALL their things visible so drawers and cupboards are underutilized. If you read this far and have any thoughts, opinions or ideas I'm happy to hear them. Dinner tonight will be chicken sausage stuffed vegetables (peppers, zucchini and tomatoes) and rice. Another winter meal we haven't had for months that I'm looking forward to eating.

Did church and I had nursery duty. I got to hold a sleeping baby. That's one of the best ways to start a day. Ran to store and grabbed a couple of things for dinner. Put together some southern green beans to cook all day. I made a roast yesterday for sliders. DH thought we were having roast and fixins'. I felt bad he was let down. So tonight is rechauffe roast, green beans and roasted baby potatoes. I'm so happy to have finally used the fancy word! Gotta clean out the fridge and get some chickpeas roasting. I'll use those for a lunch and dinner tomorrow. Eaten 2 different ways. scrapmaven sorry to hear you have a cold.

If you read this far and have any thoughts, opinions or ideas I'm happy to hear them. From a realtor's perspective (DH, not me) split baths with 2 sinks is preferable. One of our guest baths is like that and we prefer it. But, if one room makes you happier, go for it. But I definitely wouldn't take out one of the sinks. Did church and I had nursery duty. When I was in high school, my mom and I worked in the nursery with another woman. She had no sense of smell so she always got diaper changing duty. The minister's 3-year old daughter was in the nursery one Sunday, on a play telephone, and I heard her *talking* to her grandpa and she said she was going to burn the church down.

bc2ca, the front bathroom was the boy's bathroom. Now it's just a bathroom, cause they're up and out. Though ods stays here 2 nights a week just to have a break from his commute. I'm not sure if you have girls in your house, but even so, the rule in our house is that you have drawers and need to use them. If there is a makeup organizer and not enough space in the drawers then I can see leaving it out. Otherwise, drawer and cabinet organizers are essential. Our front bathroom has a pocket door btwn the shower/tub toilet area and the sink area. It's very nice to have that separation, though no one uses it. When the boys are both at home they still don't use the pocket door. When one person is in the pocket door area the other won't use the sink area. Silly. Did I make that as confusing as mud? I was trying to help...

Take this with a grain of salt bc2ca I have never lived in a house with two sinks in one bathroom. I just have a hard time believing that the value of an extra sink is worth the loss in counter space. But again, I have absolutely no experience with this. The set up of the bathroom does seem odd to me. I think I'd like the sinks in the actual bathroom and here's why. Because after I'm done with my toileting I don't want to have to open a door in order to be able to clean my hands.

bc2ca interesting that their bathroom has 2 sinks. I have only seen that in master bathrooms. Our master bath has double sinks on a very long counter with a ton of space. The kids shared bathroom has 1 but a long counter with 6 cabinets and 2 pull out drawers. They can still have their space on a long counter and single sink. Really more than they have no since no sink takes that space. Could you center the sink and have nice space on both sides? ETA: dh and I use the same sink so the second is wasted space lol
