We get a day off for voting at my company so I picked 11/5 although I may vote early. I kind of just want to get it out of the way, but i'm pretty busy up until then. DS is coming to visit on Friday and I may take him with me since he's vote by mail.
Other than that, I plan on being glued to the tv, although we likely won't know any results of days if it's as close as it seems to be.
What are your plans? Doing anything fun or interesting?

As much as I’d like to be glued to the tv that night watching the results coming in, I won’t be. I’m sure the election won’t be confirmed that day anyway and DH can’t stand all the political news so he would protest if I did have it on. I’m just happy that this year our votes won’t cancel each other out.

I am absolutely NOT watching any news until very late in the evening, if at all.
I am going to make a long list of holiday items I can work on during my free time, and I'm going to put on a holiday movie or play holiday music to drown out anything anyone may be watching/discussing elsewhere in the house.

Well since nothing is going to be announced until at least 8 pm EST so I will just be working. I already voted and got an email that my ballot was counted 2 weeks ago so I will just be working.

I'll be out of town visiting my dad in Chicago. He wants to have an election party but I'm not sure his blood pressure can take it if Trump wins. He never turns off CNN. I'm glad he's not a Trumper but he gets more angry than I think is healthy for him.
We shall see.

Unfortunately my birthday falls on election day. Yippee for me. My youngest son's birthday is also on that date. Maybe we will take him out to eat and have a fun evening before results come in.

Going to the dentist to get a crown done. Yuck! Thankfully, I’ve already voted.

I will probably spend the day deep cleaning my house, with the TV on in the background. Maybe I will scrapbook a little, as well. I will go vote around 2:00 with DH.

I already mailed in my ballot, so I will just be working. The next day, tho, I may be taking off depending on how much I drank the night before or stayed up.

The one thing I will NOT be doing is watching the TV, at least not during the day and early evening. During the day I will be doing ordinary things like reading, and cleaning, maybe a Costco run. And in the evening I'm not sure I'll be able to watch either. I'm tempted to just go to bed and wake up the next morning to see what happened. Another part of me -- the part that says Harris WILL WIN -- wants to be awake and watching when they call the election for the first woman president! So who knows what I'll decide to do...

Working during the day and not watching results. I will never forget 2016, going to bed confident that Sec'y Clinton had won and waking up to the nightmare that happened

One of my closest friends leaves on the 4th to spend a month in Spain/Malta. She booked it specifically so she would be away during (hopefully) all the election hullabaloo. On the other hand, I will have the TV on from 8pm on I’m sure 🤷🏼♀️

I think I will avoid the internet, and the TV all day, and distract myself going to the library, shopping, and going for a walk. I will probably find out accidentally who won anyway, and since I'm on the west coast, going to bed and finding out in the morning is not going to work, as they start announcing the results at 5 pm.

I don’t have anything planned during the day but will start watching tv around 7:00 or 8:00 p.m.

I have a couple of meetings at work, then we’ll go to the gym after work. I am sure I’ll hear news during the day, but I won’t be able to watch TV until we get home after the gym. Then the TV will probably be on for background noise. Being on the west coast we’ll probably hear some results before bed.
It is the next morning that I’ll be nervous about checking the news.

I will vote this week and on November 5th, I will be the volunteer receptionist at our Fire Administration department.
I just learned someone else took the job. I shall do something to avoid media and force myself not to check anything. Maybe DH and I can take a day trip somewhere to distract us.

Being grateful to no longer work at a school that is used as a polling location. Such a security risk.

My kids will be out of school (school is a polling place) so I'll just be hanging out at home since I'm going to early vote.
