I think I will avoid the internet, and the TV all day, and distract myself going to the library, shopping, and going for a walk. I will probably find out accidentally who won anyway, and since I'm on the west coast, going to bed and finding out in the morning is not going to work, as they start announcing the results at 5 pm. I thought they wait until 8pm west coast time to start announcing?

I think states start releasing results as soon as their polls close. I heard in California, they wait until about 8:30 local time.

I'm having a PET scan.
The plan is to follow that with meditation, yoga and a very long walk at the beach.
I know DH & DS will want to watch the results slowly rolling in so need to figure out a plan for the evening. Maybe a book and mineral soak in the tub.

I have my yearly physical the morning of November 5. Not the best of timing, not the worst. My doctor is about an hour away. I usually go to some big stores while I am there. JoAnn’s for sure. I’m pretty certain that I will turn the tv on ( CNN ) as soon as I get home. 💙💙💙💙💙

I'm going to be building my Panic Room.
Disappointed because you haven't done anything on your bucket list? Change the b to f and you'll much better about it.

Voting at my local precinct and then the typical evening of dinner, helping with homework, family time etc.
I will be watching election coverage after my son's bedtime.
I can't control any of it other than making my voice heard by casting my vote so it will be as it will be.

I can't help myself; I will be glued to the TV from dinner onward.
Hubby and I plan to vote later today.

I am going to get my mail-in ballot and turn it in tomorrow. I am going to try hard to not keep myself glued to the news throughout the day but I will definitely have it turned on during the evening. I am buying a piece of cheesecake like I have the last 2 presidential years. I am going to need it either way!

What am I doing on election day? Probably some drinking. And then if he wins, trying to figure out how to not lose my mind having to listen to him for the next four years.

I am going to be in the jungle of Guatemala on a medical mission, So far away from the "DRAMA" I mailed my ballot in last week!!! One of my closest friends leaves on the 4th to spend a month in Spain/Malta. She booked it specifically so she would be away during (hopefully) all the election hullabaloo. On the other hand, I will have the TV on from 8pm on I’m sure 🤷🏼♀️ Are you wishing you were going along? Or somewhere else? I am~

I am absolutely NOT watching any news until very late in the evening, if at all. I am going to make a long list of holiday items I can work on during my free time, and I'm going to put on a holiday movie or play holiday music to drown out anything anyone may be watching/discussing elsewhere in the house. Me too!

I voted today, so nothing special. As far as news watching, I plan on doing some but will try to tear myself away at a reasonable time as we all know it's unlikely to be resolved that night. There will be too many close states, I think.

Me too! I like this. I think I will renew my hallmark + binge pass and find stuff to watch - no commercials and no news. I started to watch Rachel Maddow off the DVR snd I had to turn it off. I just couldn’t listen. My anxiety went up and I just turned it off. The only thing I can do is vote. I need to figure out all the props and the minor people running. I know school board but judges, water boards etc I need to figure out.

Working during the day and not watching results. I will never forget 2016, going to bed confident that Sec'y Clinton had won and waking up to the nightmare that happened I remember going to bed hearing that Trump had won and hoping to God I would wake up the next morning that it had all been a nightmare and HrC had in fact won. I was so upset the next morning I started crying.

I will be teaching on election day, but I have the following day off. I made a doctor's appointment that day and just took the whole day off. Hoping we have an answer on that day. I don't want another drawn out situation like 2020.

I do not have the day off but my kids do since some of the schools in their district are used as polling places so I will go take them to vote with me on my lunch break. That's probably it as I assume that there will be recounts, turmoil & chaos, etc. so that nothing will be official that day. We don't have regular TV so we can't watch the news even if we wanted to. We will have gone to Frankenmuth the weekend before so maybe I will start decorating the house for Christmas early.

I truly hope it's to celebrate, or we will be heading to Canada. Kidding, not kidding. I don't want my DD living in his world.

I have meetings all day but I can watch coverage on the side for the most part. What I'm less than thrilled about is that I have to run a community event the day after election day for staff and students to help them process election emotions. I'm a leader in the community. I really get it. But it's hard to be the person to always need to provide support when you're potentially in a position where you yourself aren't going to be in a great space emotionally. Give the support-providers (which I did not think being a professor really involved!) a hug -- we're going to be compartmentalizing hard-core!

Treating it like every Tuesday. Doing the usual errands, walking the dogs a few times, making dinner, and relaxing in the evening.
I won't check any news until the next day.
Like another pea said, I did my job. I voted and that's it. It's in the hands of others. I'm not going to stress myself over what could be. I'm going to wait for the results and either cheer or go well f-ck.
