Happy Tuesday! The usual ground turkey with rice for dinner.
Here is a joke I heard on TV.
What do you call a can opener that doesn't work?
A CAN'T OPENER! LOL!
Have a nice dinner, all!

PolarGreen12 I sub cantaloupe or watermelon too with that burrata combo. I love it. Sunday at the cheese counter the woman just finished making buratta and mozzarella bc2ca u fortunately there’s some really arrogant doctors out there. One of the worst was an ER dr we grew up with who accused my dd of faking anaphylaxis. My sister was with us and she told him off then got her bff’s dh on the phone who was the ceo at the time. ( my sister knows literally everyone) needless to say we had a new dr stat. Even the interns & residents were dumbfounded by the attending. That was probably 10 years ago and he apologizes to my sister every time he sees her. I don’t live near them so I don’t have to see him. He thought because she was a teenage girl she must be faking. cadoodlebug love your sunrise.

kellyr21 , you made me chuckle. I needed that. Thank you. teddyw , I had an ER doc accuse me of faking asthma. Yup, I just love those jittery drugs. Have you heard of the Netflix show "Diagnosis"? A dr. Crowdsources hard-to-diagnose diseases. It's very interesting. I hope your cold is tiny and goes away, fast. PolarGreen12 , if I have to gorilla glue your feet to this thread I will do so. Do not make me come over there! cadoodlebug , is 100% correct. jeremysgirl , your apology is really cool and shows such grace. I hope that your work situation is finally resolved to your satisfaction.
taylortroop, Happy one year healthaversary to your dh. So, I went to my doctor and they changed the settings on my device. I was todl that this could really help or it could really misfire and that I might need to go to the big hospital over the weekend to have it programmed. Just need one of the oncall docs who does this to meet me w/a remote. It's not inpatient. Anyway, It's precarious, so let's see what happens. Meanwhile, on the way home I had to gas up and there's a funky place called Krispy Krunchy Chicken that is at gas stations. Fantastic food. So, I ran in and got dh 2 fresh, hot biscuits w/melted better. He enjoyed his snack and has one for dinner. naby64 , arthritis is the world's cruelest weather predictor, isn't it? Chronic pain of any sort is for the birds. Delta Dawn , I'm so happy to see you here.

taylortroop , enjoy your celebratory dinner with your husband – what a wonderful thing to be able to celebrate! naby64 I love the idea of burrata - who doesn’t love oozy creamy cheese? - but I agree with you that it is very bland. All mozzarella is bland. I don't mind burrata with roasted cherry tomatoes, garlic, and balsamic vinegar. But if I'm going to be consuming cheese calories, then give me some tangy creamy goat cheese any day! kellyr21 I laughed more than I should have at your joke – dad jokes for the win! Dinner was Marion’s Spicy Garlic Butter Linguini. I made too much for just the two of us. leannec you’re a garlic lover, you should have popped over for dinner to help me out. I reckon you could have almost smelt the garlic wafting across the Pacific Ocean, it was that strong! I was going to have réchauffé for lunch today, but I had to come into the office and I didn’t think it would be fair for my colleagues, putting up with two day’s worth of garlic breath.

scrapmaven I’ll look for that show. I too am a late night shopper. While watching Gordon Ramsey’s travel show I saw he was at a salt mine in Iceland It’s flaky like Maldon. Found it on Amazon. I haven’t tried it yet.

I haven’t tried it yet. I found Maldon smoked salt at Home Goods or TJMaxx at some point. My DD found Maldon garlic salt also. I have a box of that coming in my order tomorrow from Thrive.

OK! leannec saw pumpkin pie m&m’s. Those would be a no for me. A hard no for me too! But the mint ones are super yummy! Truthfully late at night I will say 11 pm I got hungry and got up. I found a beautiful red heirloom tomato, my evoo, a new balsamic glaze that I just bought at the Italian deli and I had a burrata in the fridge. I also cut up some cucumber because I like crunch and I ate this masterpiece at 11 o’clock at night and I’ve never been so happy with my life choices since. I ate the whole thing myself and loved every minute of it. That sounds amazing!

Hello, my dear dinner peeps! (( hugs )) to anybully who needs 'em !!!
I don't have the energy to comment on anything, I've been in terrible pain all day, so just know that if you're going through anything, I care. The latest news bombshells had me actually CRYING earlier. I have NEVER cried over politics. I am having more and more stress over wanting to end relationships with people I LOVE because of their support of you-know-who. I know this thread is NOT for this topic, but I wanted to share since it is soo upsetting and affecting my mental health. I'll put my story under a spoiler. I just ate a delcious reuben wayyy too quickly, and it was delicious. I was still shaky and crying while eating, which sucked. I am going to watch mindless reality TV tonight--I need an escape from the real world so badly!
A political /angry rant, which I'll hide if you're not interested !!!
Although I realize he may NOT have actually said it, hearing that he said "it doesn't cost $60,000.00 to bury a f-----g Mexican" is what made me cry earlier. The HATRED, the RACISM!!! My hubby has has FOUR college degreesand a career that actually HELPED our military. Second rant: All the Hit*ler comments....!!! We had a dear family friend who saw her Dad taken away by the Nazis and never saw him again. And since childhood, I have very dear Jewish friends. Seewhy I was crying? I was literally SHAKING, too---I wasso upset!!!

It depends on the menu and my waitresses interpretation of my order. Last night I ordered Chicken strips and Tater Tots, I had fish strips and fries. It was like fowl or fish, or just foul. Once you understand why the pizza is round, packed in a square box, and cut into triangles, you might then begin to understand American Politics, women, and cats. Don---good to "SEE" you, too! and you always make me laugh "fowl or fish, or just foul". I've read your pizza/ politic sentence a few times, and don't understand, but I appreciate your humor.

We did Chinese takeaway. We lost power about 3:30 when transformers blew. I decided right then it was a sign (or a squirrel) but I took it as a sign that I wasn't cooking tonight. We did get power back just before I got home but the die was cast.

scrappintoee, I'm sorry that you heard something horrible that hurt so much. Gentle ((((HUGS)))). I am watching Love is Blind. The final episode drops tmw and then the reunion is next week. Why do we watch such stupid television? It's smutty fun. leannec, welcome back. Time to have some fun. Thank you, but I should clarify. I won't need to go into the hospital. I would have to go to the ER, because one of the on call docs would have to meet me there to reporgram my device. It's done externally just by touch and remote control. I'm bionic. There are actually very few people in the world w/this device. It's humanitarian and not a regularly prescribed thing. My doctor presented my case to an international review board in order to get it approved. My retired neuro-gi invented the technology and the surgeon who invented it w/him placed my first 2 devices. I'm very fortunate that I was in the right place at the right time. If it doesn't work at this setting then they'll do a factory reset. I feel like a computer.

leannec, welcome back! How was your subbing job today? Thanks so much! It's good to be back! My job today was really good = easy. I was pretty much babysitting three classes of Grade 12 Social Studies ... they did some work out of the textbook for half the class and then watched a video for the other half ... by the third class I was soooooo bored ... better than dealing with behavioural issues! I might try to do more high school this year rather than mainly junior high because it really was a piece of cake! This is the second time I have subbed for this teacher so I expect he will ask me again in the future ... the downside is that it is a 45 minute commute ... today we had snow and ice to deal with so it took closer to an hour to get there ... life in Alberta!
