My cousin is getting married next month and I'm shipping a gift as we can't make the wedding.
This person was close with my parents who are both deceased, but I wanted to include on the card that the gift is from all of us (meaning my parents as well as my family)
They live in a different state, so I have:
Congratulations from your (our city) family
but I wanted to include something that says I also include my parents in that statement. I have from those of us celebrating with you here and those with you in spirit but it feels clunky to me.
anyone have any ideas?
thanks

How about "Mom and Dad would have been so happy for you"?

I agree with MDscrapaholic idea to mention your parents in the note, but not saying the gift is from them.

I like the Mom and Dad would have been so happy for you. If you wanted, you could say you were very dear to them. I would not say the gift is from them.

I think it sounds weird saying the gift is from someone who is no longer living. Maybe something along the lines of, Best wishes from your (town) family! I know how close you were to my parents and how happy they would be for you. I’m sure they will be with you in spirit as you celebrate on your special day! Or, since you won’t be there yourself you could also say: We will all be with you in spirit as you celebrate on your special day!

I asked ChatGPT - it said:
“Congratulations from your [our city] family, both near and those with you in spirit.”

thank you, it didn't occur to me that it would be weird for the gift to be from my parents as well as us but I can see how it could be taken that way. I'll go with the idea that they will be with them in spirit as they celebrate.
