I am wanting to travel to Ikea tomorrow in Charlotte (my first trip!). President Obama is headlining a rally somewhere in Charlotte that starts at noon. Location has not been disclosed. I understand the need for security of course. I just wondered if anyone has been to a rally like this and if so, when did they tell you where it would be held? I keep checking my local news stations and no word on location.
If he is in the university area, I will postpone my trip because I don't want to get in all that traffic. Thanks.

Typically you have to register to attend. For instance on Kamala Harris' FB page, she mentioned a rally in Atlanta today and we had to register, then the location is sent to you.

Not sure, I always thought they were announced in advance unless it was some small pop up venue type place. Also in my area if it was a rally of any size you would know because there aren’t very many venues that hold large numbers.
That is kind of a pain in the neck for people who have to make plans. Good luck, hope you can navigate there easily and that you enjoy your trip to IKEA. I have never been to one but would love to one day. Oh my aspirations…hahaha.

I didn't know they don't disclose information ahead of time, or to the public. I understand the need for security, but how do you decide if you can or cannot go if you don't know the details. Could it be that the organizers themselves don't know all the details since these rallies are kind of a last minute event?

I just googled it and read that the time and location will be given to those who receive a ticket.
When Trump was in my area a few months ago it was announced at least a week ahead of time. I can't remember if that was before or after the first assassination attempt.

There’s a Harris rally here in Houston tomorrow somewhere downtown. Exact location hasn’t been named yet, but likely Toyota Center, Minute Maid Park, or one of the large theaters. Sadly, I cannot go. [ETA: It's Shell Energy Stadium, home of the Houston Dynamo and Dash and TSU football.]
Meanwhile, Trump has now announced a rally here tomorrow as well. At a furniture store owned by one of his supporters. 🙄
As a Texan, I’m just over the moon that they’re both spending time here this close to the election. Clearly internal polls are showing things are close. Whether that’s for the presidential race or the senate race (Cruz will be at Trump’s rally and Allred at Harris’) I don’t know, but either one is good news.
Also, Beyoncé and Willie Nelson will be at the Harris rally. 🥰 I’m sure Trump will have some C-list has-been, though.
