Have you checked Amazon? I bought something similar for a graduation party a few years ago. Mine were a bit more as it also came with an LED candle, but I found lots of options there when I was looking.

It's friday woohoo! It may actually be a working weekend for me, I have a project I need to wrap up and I'm waiting on some people, so hopefully will be done this afternoon, but it could spill into the weekend. jeremysgirl - so glad you navigated the meeting calmly! That can be so tough when you've been dealing with things for so long - frustration comes out all kinds of ways and often it's tough to control! I can't recall who all was there, I hope your boss' boss was there to actually here what's been going on. That they put someone in place to "monitor" her that has been wholly ineffective is as much a problem as her! Dinner is up in the air, my husband was talking about going out, but I have a couple Blue Apron meals I really should use up so we'll see.

leannec Did you break up with the guy? I will be doing just that in about an hour! He's coming over and I'm going to give it to him straight ... I think he pretty much knows what is coming ... I like him as a person but there is no chemistry and we have different ways of looking at things ... my idea of dating is hanging out at home watching Netflix sometimes but I also want to go places ... and sometimes nice places ... he isn't into nice places ... You know you dress like a slob when you get turned away from a buffet in Las Vegas! . Ok, it was the Wynn but who shows up in a muscle shirt to any eating establishment that isn't fast food? I haven't been to his house which is probably a good thing because he has two huge dogs that are not properly trained ... from his own mouth ... they are two years old and still pee in the house Anyway, if he wants to be friends I'm good with that but nothing more ... I'll let you all know how it goes later!

I went to get my flu and Covid shots this morning ... me and a bunch of very old people! I bought a few groceries and now I'm home ... After "the guy" leaves I am not sure what I will do ... maybe reorganize my fridge because I forgot to cancel my Hello Fresh order for this week and I will need space for it all on Sunday ... I guess I will be cooking next week! I think I will actually cook tonight too ... I have fresh linguini and I am going to make a tomato sauce with fresh mushrooms for it ... yum! I apologize for not responding to everyone's posts ... just know that I am thinking of you all!

leannec, I'm reminded of the Friends episode where he dates the total slob. He goes back to her apartment and there's a rat in the potato chip bag. LOL. Ya, you won't like this guy, cause he lives like a teenager and you need maturity and someone who is well groomed or at least dresses appropriately and lives in a clean dwelling. I hope you have standards. High maintenance and standards for a partner are different things. Dogs peeing in the house? Dexter will pee in the house on the days he needs to go to the emergency vet. He has to be very sick to pee indoors. Plus 2 big dogs?

Animals have issues just like humans, but not properly trained is a big no from me. I don’t date but I did order $800 from Sephora and no man can afford me! This made me LMAO! Jeremy's is not sure he can afford me either. I need to find myself a professional and get away from these dudes who live in cargo pants Even Jeremy, who is as casual as they come, will put on pair of dress pants and a collared shirt on occasion. And he loves a good cashmere sweater to wear casually with jeans in the winter. like 95% of the time he's in cargo shorts and a tshirt.

Tearisci , I think we can agree that your ex-hole had much bigger issues than a bad dresser. He is just a bad person. Thank goodness you're rid of him. Delta Dawn , your ex needed fashion help, bigtime. Before I got back together w/dh I had a friend who was dating a homeless guy. He slept on park benches when he didn't stay w/her. He was intelligent, but didn't want to work. He thought he was too good to work and should spend all day learning. Plus, he had a love of not showering. She was a professional and they did eventually marry. She paid for everything including his cigarettes and drugs. Due to his awful smoking habit, combined w/the terrible way he took care of himself he died young. Anyway, my friend told me that the reason I never dated was because I needed to lower my standards. I kid you not. Ok, I'll just go downtown and grab me a crack addicted wino. Thank goodness she remarried years later. He was a professional and very together. I held out and actually had a checklist in my head of what I wanted in a husband. Dh checked every single box. When we got back together it was a fluke and nothing I had ever expected or thought about. I'm very grateful that I never lowered my standards. BTW-dh is a snazzy dresser. I lucked out.

TGIF. It has been what feels like a very long week. I guess a 5-day work week after a short one will do that. Hah. jeremysgirl Sounds like you ROCKED your meeting! Not surprised at all! (PS - our Aldi has burrata if that's an option?) I have absolutely no idea what our weekend plans outside of doing some cleaning around the apartment will entail. I just want a nap. But I've also wanted said nap since I woke up. Still waiting for a response from my PCP about some test results, and the others results I'm waiting for took a week to get in last time. Happy weekend, all!

After reading thru comments thus far, here are some replies for you to pick thru to suit your particular situation:
Some days the total amount of available swear words are completely insufficient for my needs.
I would not have to manage my anger if more people would manage their stupid.
I got my blood test results back today, the lab says apparently my blood type has changed from type O to mountain roast.
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes it’s because you’re stupid and make bad decisions.
I’m stuck between a rock and someone I want to hit with it.
I never said they were stupid. I would never do that. All I said was, they had bad luck when it came to thinking. That’s different, totally different.

That freaking F word rolls off my tongue to quickly. I find myself asking WHERE TF did I put obvious things. I put them in their correct places and it’s the last place I look. I do implement future-me talking to present-me. Where will I want this to be next time? I am having better luck finding things after implementing future me talk. Does that make sense? Walking in the morning to the guest room (where half my stuff is) I walk saying F F F F every step hurts until 9 am! Don, you are heard.

I am getting my hair done and today has been all sorts of awesome! We have “events” coming up soon. I can think of 5 events we have to go to in the next month. I had to get a funeral dress. I have about 3 that are all suitable should I weigh 35 lbs less. I do not have plans to drop that much weight this month. The new dress is pretty and black and I did need a party dress (in my size). Thank goodness I have shoes that fit. I have to hope the new dress fits, also. I cannot go in Lululemon pink pants.
Dinner tonight is a mystery but I am hopeful my dad will think of something. It may be chicken and smokies.

scrapmaven , that sounds like a real shit show. Or should I say knit show? Badaboom. I don't think that I would be paying any more money for classes with that "teacher". It sounds like you're not going to really learn anything. KelleeM woohoo! I'm so glad to hear that your mammogram results are normal! **GypsyGirl** I hope that everything works out for your DH to get the extension. jeremysgirl wow, you really aced that! You must be really proud of yourself for the way you handled it. Maybe I missed an earlier post on another thread, but who was in this meeting? I love that the secretary messaged you afterwards. Do you really think there's a chance they will get rid of Ms Incompetent? austnscrapaddict my worst nightmare (not really my worst, but....) is the power going off and none of my devices are charged! It happened the other night to me, but thankfully it was just something that had caused the safety switch to kick in. DSO went out and turned it straight back on. Phew! What on earth would I do with no TV / MacBook / Phone? I guess I'd have to climb up into the garage roof to find whatever real books that I didn't get rid of when I got my Kindle. I hope your power comes back on soon! he has two huge dogs that are not properly trained ... from his own mouth ... they are two years old and still pee in the house Eewww! That right there is a dealbreaker on its own! I am doggy sitting DD's new puppy this weekend, and I just had to pick up dog poo in my bedroom, and I've had to clean up three dog pees so far, but he's just a baby. At two years old, those mutts should be toilet trained! Dinner was bacon and eggs, and cheese kransky. We have had an egg shortage recently because of avian flu, so I have been craving bacon and eggs. I managed to get a dozen eggs last time I went shopping. I really enjoyed my breakfast for dinner!

scrapmaven I would find that class situation irritating. When I book a class I book for a particular time and location. And 8 am would not be my first pick. I remember that Friends episode!! KelleeM Glad to hear your test results are all good. Tearisci sounds like you will have a great night. Enjoy your time with your ds. naby64 what kind of lanterns are you looking for? **GypsyGirl** I hope you get the best possible outcome for your DH. sueg sounds like you found some good ones for Sophia. My ds loved Egypt as well when he was little. He devoured the books and good tell us all about things at the Tut exhibit. jeremysgirl I hope you get some positive changes from this meeting. austnscrapaddict Ugh power outages are the worst. I sure hope it has come back on by now. karenlou Isn't the scent of roasted tomatoes and garlic the best?! I have lots frozen and I literally lick the spoon after transferring to bags. ntsf what a lovely new neighbor. Glad your dd had some social time. cadoodlebug good sleep makes for good life. taylortroop it's hard to outsmart a smart dog! Ours doesn't dig but I can imagine he would if there was a contest. LOL leannec sounds like a good decision. don cute post. We got our master shower fixed finally. And he was able to adjust it so I can get cold water in there. That was never an option before. When it's in the 90's I don't want any heat in my shower as the water comes in warm due to the heat. Still on a bland diet but managed to walk the dog. Tonight is more of the same. Chicken soup and some rotisserie chicken.

scrapmaven That is super frustrating. One of the reasons I gave up knitting is that I didn't know how to fix my mistakes. She should have spent more time helping you with that aspect. This is exactly why I quit. When I lived in an apartment building and had a friend who could undo my mistakes, I was happily knitting along. But once I moved away, I couldn't figure it out and I never knit again. I spent a few days in upstate NY visiting friends and enjoyed the beautiful fall foliage on the drive up and down. But I'm wiped out from driving. Tonight we had broccoli parmesan, one of our favorite vegetarian meals. I'm happy the baseball season is almost over. I'm not a fan and with these multiple games in the playoffs I feel like I'm stuck in a never-ending cycle of DH watching baseball and me reading a book.

Oh and for the record - nobody has to afford me as I can pay my own way - and I'm damn expensive. I married for love once. I learned. And I have my own money. Please know this wasn't a slam on anyone and if anyone took it that way my sincerest apologies. This was something really, really important to ME growing up in a family where there was one path - it's hard for my kids to even understand that yes, I was the first of 34 cousins to go to college and the first of every single women I knew to not be a stay at home mom. Ok that's not true, as a few friend's mom's worked, but it was NOT typical. It was a narrative that really bothered me as a kid and was one of the things that I really emphasized - pick your own path and be sure you can get there on your merits - a partner will be someone to enhance all the amazing things YOU do! Not something or someone necessary for your dreams. I'll hop off my soap box now.
