I just wanted to share that a friend & I were able to place our early vote at the Susan B Anthony house yesterday, along with a LOT of other people. I know there are other Monroe co NY residents on here, did you know this was an option? I will gladly defend the right of all to vote any way they wish. It was such an amazing opportunity to be there & honor her & the others who fought for the rights of so many.
She is buried here in the city (as is Frederick Douglas!), & on election day, there were be a long line of voters wanting to visit her grave. Caretakers put plastic over the gravestones of her & her sister, as many want to leave their I voted stickers there.
Anyone else voting early?

I did only because I live here, but I live in Genesee county. I do remember seeing the plastic over the gravestone so that people can leave their I voted stickers there.

The only time I ever voted early was 2020 because I was afraid I might get sick and not be able to vote. I drove to a voting center some 20 minutes away, looked for parking and waited more than an hour. My regular voting school is 2 blocks from my house, I have never had to wait so there is no advantage for me in voting early. If I had the opportunity to vote in a historically meaningful place I would certainly take it.

DH and I voted early last Friday. My state makes it so fast and easy to get in and out that it makes no sense to wait until Election Day. We generally pick an off time when it’s convenient for both of us and we go together. I think we were in there a total of maybe 15 minutes. My state is one that regularly has record voting numbers and I’m proud to be a part of that.
