No.. and no interest, unless it fell in my lap and I supported that person. The closest thing I have ever gotten to see a President was the crappy assed Trump.. in the late 1980s. Ewwwwww....

Iām not sure it was a rally. I was going back to my Alma mater to visit a friend on a weekend when Geraldine Ferraro was speaking on campus. It had to be 1984. Now I feel really old.

We went to a Gore rally back in 2000. Jon Bonjovi played before Gore came out. That was fun. In September we went to a Harris/Walz rally in Milwaukee. It was very exciting. It was during the DNC in Chicago and they tied the Milwaukee rally with the event in Chicago. Harris and Walz were amazing and the crowd was very fired up. We had a great time.

I was recently wondering about the value of these rallies and whether they result in higher votes in an area where they occur. If people are involved in politics enough to attend, it is my assumption that they would already be planning to vote and would most likely vote for that candidate. Do they exist to influence non-attendees that notice the excitement? In answer to the OP, I haven't attended any. They arent likely to change minds inside but the rallies are to keep the energy and momentum to get the people excited so they volunteer, make calls, canvas, talk to friends, etc. That is where minds are changed.

I dont go as much as I used to but I went super frequently as a child and through the time my children lived with me.
My grandparents used to take me as they both forgiven dc and went to so many events. My grandma has a video of me on stage at the war College showing a bunch of guys how easy a new robot was to work and teaching GWB how to make it spin around. I remember having so much fun and playing under the table while they were playing on a big map that I wasn't allowed to touch without permission and I loved when the visiting generals would come do boring talks that she had to record because after lunch one would take me to the gym to race on the rowing machines.
My mom took me to more abortion rallies and for weird things like marching around schools singing at night. My first photo in the newspaper was of me at 8 holding a sign that says 'even monkeys don't kill their children" š
I took my kids to see anyone we could because I wanted to teach them to listen and look at everything and follow their brains and guts.
We saw Bernie, pence, trump, both Clinton's, GWB, Ryan, Walz, and many senatorial, and congressional candidates and local candidates. I love going to rallies, its fun and brings back fun memories of my grandparents.
