Hi Dinner friends! What a busy, bumpy couple of days! Q4 workload has hit full force! for every 1 thing I reply to/handle 3-4 more come in. I work at the kitchen table when DH is home with the puppy so I can easily let her out, I ran to vote and when I came back, he said" I don't know what's going on at the table but it doesn't shut up" Yep, that's my inbox and teams. naby64 you are not an evil bitch, but people certainly are rude. I can't unsee you the cookie either, but It needs a gyno Apt ASAP. :-) This is on the same level of unsee-able as the Amazon Logo that my friend pointed out looks like a sideways *enis Thanks to everyone for your love yesterday on the friend situation. Yes The Birdhouse Lady the same one that used my towel at the recent retreat. I'm going to take a step back from her friendship after this weekend, but the problem is that her Sister in Law is one of my best friends and we tend to do things together often, including the planned trip to Europe in the spring,( I haven't even started on the drama she caused on getting herself booked on this trip) I value my friendship with her SIL and don't want to jeopardize that friendship. Luckily, for the Europe trip there are 7 or 8 of us going in total and I've already said that I'm doing my own thing much of the time. I think she has a bit of dementia starting, but she needs to recognize that others aren't at her demand. Our plans for the weekend changed a bit, but we have a plan and I'm going to enjoy the creative time and the other friend we are visiting. Dinner is the chicken I didn't cook last night. Have a great day ladies!

I could never do your job! (People say that about mine too - teach junior high) I hope the rest of the week is better for you!

I spent a few minutes looking at it and never saw a pumpkin. Although I'm not really sure I'd have looked at it as a vagina without the suggestion. But definitely more v than p.

Ohhhhh, something I just remembered I was going to ask everyone about. LEEKS. I have 2 very large ones in my fridge. I was supposed to make a savory leek bread pudding for a potluck on Sunday. Well, after tending to sick DH, I didn't have the energy so I thought I will just do something later. I don't want to have to make the bread pudding just for me. I don't need to consume that much bread over a few days. What else can I do with leeks. I don't think I have ever used them before in anything. If I did, it is so far back in history I can't remember it. So give me all your ideas please! Soup!! I don’t have any recipes right at hand, but I’ve seen plenty of them (usually potato-leek soup) and they look delish. ETA or maybe sauté them and add to a quiche? These are both good ideas for leeks. I often use them in soup naby64

I have gotten so much accomplished today! Hit Target, Nugget, Costco, Raley's and Safeway. Got all that stuff put away and took all the meat off my rotisserie chicken plus cut up the onions, carrots & celery for the Chicken Noodle soup for tonight. Remembered to go to Schwab online and transfer monies from a CD that matured into the daily money fund. (It pays 4.69% currently which is welcomed after the years of 1.5-2%.) DH and I got our flu shots and were surprised they still have the super-strength senior doses. Now I'm going to relax and read my book. naby64 cute cookie. ntsf is your pool for AquaFit indoors? Ours is not and it was a tad cold when I got out of the pool yesterday morning.

yes, aquafit is in an indoor pool. it was hard to find a gym with a pool and offering the class at a good time. right in the fillmore.. about a 20 min drive. the pool is cool.. but it was cool outside this morning.. and free parking in a garage. that's the most important thing in sf.

naby64 I see where the cookie decorator was going but I think it needs an extra set of stripes to look more pumpkin-ish. With only 2 it does read V lucyg I had a lot of fun at your Pampered Chef party!! I had to spend x amount of money to get free shipping to Alaska. I'll do anything to get free shipping!! LOL CATS? ... jeremysgirl. That's not good. Nothing about cheese? I hope you are not too itchy tonight. Tomorrow is my 6 week post surgical appointment. Keep your fingers crossed that all is well, and I get to take this brace off. I am still having some nerve pain in my leg (not anything like before) but I know it takes nerves quite a while to heal or reattach or whatever you call it. Dinner tonight is eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and maybe mini waffles if I can reach the waffle maker.

scrapmaven.....Ugh, I hope your pain is GONE now. What does the neurologist do for you? naby64....with all that labia/ cl*tor--- errrr---cookie talk, I forgot to say I'm sorry people were so awful to you! cadoodlebug.....I had NO idea your AquaFit pool was outside---no wonder !!!!! You'd mentioned needing a hat, but I just thought it was for afterwards. When I did physical therapy in the pool last winter, I dreaded going to my car with wet hair, but my very thick hat helped. (I never blow-dry it anymore--- takes forever and way too painful.)

it needs an extra set of stripes to look more pumpkin-ish Exactly what I thought. The 4 lines were not enough. And I won't even comment on the green "stem". I HOPE you get to remove the brace, and your pain lessens more and more!

All that allergy testing and you know what I'm allergic to? Cats. My back lit up on fire. Over cats. Nothing else reacted. No food. No environmental. Nothing. He's sending me for blood testing for auto immune disorders. He told me if it isn't that then we need to start looking at my medication as the culprit. At least you got something. I suffer from what I’m convinced are allergies but don’t react to any of the pokes. Do you have a cat? naby64 I’m trying to think what response one could possibly give to that bit of nastiness. As far as the cookie, what a sweet thought and…now that you mention it…

I'm wondering if my sciatic pain and numbness on my left side and in my ankle and foot is actually a pinched nerve ... I sure hope my massage tomorrow helps!

Thank you scrappintoee ❤️ The Birdhouse Lady peasapie I have two cats. I have a lot of morning stuffy/runny nose and I always thought it was caused by my CPAP machine. But no this doctor says it's because I sleep with my cats. He said the cats though don't cause the kind of swelling I had in my lips and face. So he's testing me for a bunch of autoimmune disorders. Mast cell, lupus, sjogrens. And if none of them register then he wants to start investigating my meds. I have had no med changes since June of 2023 though. I have never had any kind of allergic reaction to a med. Neither option sounds appealing. So I don't know what to think. But I wanted to rip the skin off my back with the cat poke. I also have watery eyes. But I assumed that's because my eyes are dry from taking anti psychotics. Who knows. I wish it had been an allergy we tested for. Because eliminating a food sounds a lot easier than whatever this is. Good luck tomorrow The Birdhouse Lady

When I did physical therapy in the pool last winter, I dreaded going to my car with wet hair, but my very thick hat helped. (I never blow-dry it anymore--- takes forever and way too painful.) Thankfully my hair never gets wet as we don't go underwater. But the hat keeps my *do* in place and the sun off my scalp.

bc2ca I'm curious what the protein level was. Even eating plant based my protein level was on target. At 5.9, I'm just below the normal range (6.0-8.5). I was at 6.3 six weeks ago, finally into the normal range for the first time this year. Since I have really upped my protein intake even more, I was expecting an even higher number this week. I don't know if it is because my body is using all the protein I'm taking in so will be talking to my doctor about it tomorrow.. I'm sorry your testing didn't give you clear answers (except cats ). Good luck tomorrow, The Birdhouse Lady !

Thank you so much ladies. I am finally coming out of this. peasapie, I'm sorry that you get these 5 day torture-a-thons, as well. lucyg, I hope that chemo was easy today and that you're enjoying pizza. bc2ca, I'm sorry that you got disappointing results. ((((HUGS)))). The Birdhouse Lady, Wishing you a brace free tmw. May your doc appt go really well. naby64, I hope that your furry friend is OK. You've had such a time, lately. I hope that things finally get better for you. jeremysgirl, not all AI diseases are horrible, but I hope that your labs for AI stuff are normal. It always sucks when you get more questions than answers after a medical appt. I'll be thinking of you tmw. Do whatever you need to do to take, good, loving care of yourself and know that you have a tribe who will be w/you. Forgive me if I missed anyone.

C'est le vie. scrapmaven he ate dinner tonight and seemed to be a bit more himself. He does have terrible gas, so I'm guessing just an upset tummy.

5 days is too long for a migraine scrapmaven. I hope you heard back. The DDs are allowed extra strength Tylenol. Dd2 used to take topamax for prevention until she planned to get pregnant. I have Deja vu periodically. This week as a matter of fact. I never heard it was an aura before. My auras are usually visual disturbances. jeremysgirl I hope your dr figures this out. I bought a gc to my favorite local restaurant group. You got a $20 bonus gc with it but the $20 has to be used before 10/31. So we tried a restaurant we haven’t been too. I had some type of crusted sea bass with mashed potatoes and glazed carrots. peasapie I go to a flower farm that has one barn set up for photos year round. I didn’t see the vagina just thought it was an incomplete pumpkin.

Chemo was fine, pizza was wonderful as always, and I’m about to crawl off to bed. Thanks for asking, scrapmaven. jeremysgirl, I’m sorry you didn’t get clearer results from your allergy testing. So frustrating. You are too funny, The Birdhouse Lady. Thank you.
