I heard a weird beeping noise somewhere in my kitchen this morning, and it was the water sensor we put under the dishwasher when we installed it last March, there's a leak... This dishwasher replaced the one we had less than a year that Lowe's refunded our money instead of coming out to fix, and a string of dishwashers back to 2013 when we moved in and broke the one that had been here since 1992... If we have to replace this one it will be #6 in 11 years.
I am starting to think it would be easier to hand wash dishes and put in a new cabinet than to keep buying, getting refunds, and replacing dishwashers every year or trying to get someone out to fix the stupid thing.
Anyone have any ideas how to break the curse? If it matters they have all been made by Bosch (except the 1992 Whirlpool.)

Have you had a plumber come out and make sure everything is set up correctly?

I would have a Plummer come out and inspect the lines from dishwasher to sink and sink to sewer.
That is crazy.
There has to be some internal issues going on.
Even have an electrician check the power lines to make sure it's up to date and codes properly for the newer washers. A bad line could fry the dishwasher.
I personally don't think high end is best. We have been here 19 years and are on our third dishwasher. I use it at least 2x a day.
We always get the basic dishwashers. All we need is to do is wash dishes. Ours was replaced over summer after several years and it's the first electronic based one. Good so far.

I hate to even suggest it because I don’t want your curse transferring to my beloved brand, but Miele.

We've been happy with our GE Profile (old house) and Kitchen Aid (new house). No issues with either one.
I second (or third? LOL) the idea of getting a plumber and/or electrician out to take a look at the line & connections, including your garbage disposal lines. All inter-related, even if it's not obvious.

OMG, my DD has the curse! Her 16 month old Whirlpool leaked. The repair estimate was $1300, so she bought a Bosch based on the repairman's recommendation. She's had it a week and it leaked. The intaller is coming out tomorrow.

If you have had six dishwashers in 11 years and five of the six were the same brand, why would you keep getting that same brand? 🤔 I think I’d be looking for one from a different company, and have it installed by an actual reputable plumber if you haven’t gone that route previously.

Something had to be changed that made it easier to get another Bosch. If we have to get yet another dishwasher (DH is not in a hurry to diagnose the current dishwasher's issue) it would be a different brand! The first Bosch was OK, it's the subsequent ones that have been crap. Also, no one in the house can seem to figure out exactly how many dishwashers we have had... I say five, DH thinks it's four... 2013-2015-- Whirlpool, 1992 came with the house 2015-2019 Bosch the one that lasted a while, pump died 2019-2022 Bosch, perpetually clogged 2023-2024 Bosch, the one with the propeller issue (got a full refund) 2024- Bosch, the one we have now 2024 --new dishwasher? Not a Bosch!
