Darcy Collins, a lot of people are feeling the stress right now. I hope that you can do things to get your mind off of it. Turn off the news feeds and replace them w/something that you enjoy. ((((HUGS))))

So it was what I kept envisioning. Chicken over spaghetti with marinara. I just can't think of chicken and red sauce together. In my mind that's not a match. Enjoy! Ummm say what?!?! That's chicken parmesan - my favorite food - now this rendition is not my jam, but chicken and marinera - oh absolutely! Hey, I'm not dissing. To each their own. Hahaha... I am not a fan of chicken parmesan either. Or chicken cacciatore. I just can't do this combo of chicken and red sauce.

Icky stuff rymeswithpurple . Keep drinking water. stormsts , you have friends here to support though this rough patch. This election is hard on many people. We're both Americans and whether that means red/blue or purple, who cares? It's about every single human on the planet. You are not alone.
Delta Dawn, sounds like you need a nap. Can you get some rest today? scrapmaven I am afraid to go to sleep because I won’t go to sleep tonight. I will try to lay down later and see if that helps. I have a headache that is probably lack of sleep.

I did some errands this morning and I was drawn into the thrift store where books are 50 cents each. I seriously have sooo many books but I left with 12 more.
I will hand out candy tonight. I really don’t like Halloween but my kids trick or treated in our neighborhood for years so I feel really guilty if I don’t hand out candy. We will get 40-50 kids. It’s supposed to rain so it won’t be a nice night for the kids.
Supper will be ground beef mixed with peas served with mashed potatoes.

I am sorry but my neighbor makes the most delicious carnitas and gives me a whole bunch every time she makes it. I have never made it myself, though, so if that takes points away from me....LOL!

Hi Ladies Happy Halloween! scrapmaven glad youre going to get in with the doc to check things out. Love the spooky vibes sueg rymeswithpurple Bessie is a cute witch! I've seen some great costumes a the courthouse today. A guy was in one of the blowup T Rex suits so he of course is my favorite. I've seen a devil, Raggedy Anne, I did see a Pretty Woman prostitute but she also might not have been in costume. One did cause a bit of an issue with the deputies, one of our own participants came to court this morning dressed as an inmate. Not the smartest idea. Dinner tonight is probably rechauffle chicken and noodles.

No, you are both wrong!! chicken spaghetti is cooked noodles. To that you add a hunk of velveeta cheese, sauteed onions, a can of Rotel and more cheddar cheese, a can of cream of something. Here, this is it. www.thepioneerwoman.com/food-cooking/recipes/a11729/chicken-spaghetti-recipe/ The recipe that Naby posted is what I have always thought of as Chicken Spaghetti

Happy Halloween!!!
Unfortunately, we are under another winter storm warning. The weather and storm coming will not be fun for the littles trying to gather candy tonight.
My doctor appointment went well yesterday. Thank you for all the well wishes!!! I got to take my brace off!!! He wants me to wear it when I am going to be out and about especially with the snow and ice. But it is nice to not have to wear it around the house. I can deal with that! I also am going to be starting physical therapy, and he wants me to get some dry needling to help with the scar tissue. He told me that I am not completely healed (it's been 6 weeks) but I am well on my way. He said that he sees a lot of post op patients that aren't anywhere near where I am physically. So, I guess that's good. Oh, and the best news....I finally get to hold Hudson!! It's been more than 2 months. (I've seen him but haven't been able to hold him)
In case you were wondering what I had done. I am fused at

chicken spaghetti: everything is served separately. chickpea pasta.. bits of chicken breast fried in a frying pan, heated up regular spaghetti (red) sauce. I just serve dh and I pasta, then chicken, then sauce with maybe a little parmesan cheese on top. a salad and a piece of fruit and dinner is done. we don't really eat pork, beef or lamb in our house. So it was what I kept envisioning. Chicken over spaghetti with marinara. I just can't think of chicken and red sauce together. In my mind that's not a match. Enjoy! I've only made chicken spaghetti twice and it was a casserole. Can't remember much about it but it was delicious!

Hey everyone! I love Halloween, and looking forward to seeing all the kiddies in their costumes tonight! scrapmaven ---ugh, I hope they can help with your severe migraines and your device! jeremysgirl ----In that photo of Esther yesterday, she looked so calm and sweet. (( hugs )) PolarGreen12 --Your doggies are precious! sueg ----Love your decorations! I've been a bit vaklempt this week, because of the paw-some Halloweens we used to have with Meaty and Sophie. Lots of families would say they looked forward to the "house with the bulldogs". This was 1-year-old Meaty's first Halloween. Beatrice is wearing that same costume today, but I can't get the photo to load
Family Costumes:
LOVED making that tulle skirt for Sophie: (also made a miniature version for the stuffie (look next to Snoopy).

I've only made chicken spaghetti twice and it was a casserole. Can't remember much about it but it was delicious! Chicken Spaghetti that I know is spaghetti with rotel, cream of something soup, sometimes cream cheese, shredded cheese and usually shredded rotisserie chicken, baked in the oven to melge it all together.

Sonic has 50 cent corn dogs today. For some reason I read this as candy corn dogs and googled to see what they looked like. One did cause a bit of an issue with the deputies, one of our own participants came to court this morning dressed as an inmate. Not the smartest idea. I finally get to hold Hudson!! It's been more than 2 months. (I've seen him but haven't been able to hold him) So glad you are healing well and can only image how sweet the first post-surgery cuddle will be. I'm having a much better day than yesterday. The saline shortage is really impacting infusion centers as well as surgeries and I don't know if it is because canceled procedures were rescheduled or what, but the center was pretty chaotic and nurses run off their feet like I've never seen before. I was freezing and ending up having hot tea and a hot bath when I got home to try warm up. Then snuggled into bed and fell asleep. My oncologist doesn't think it is the Keytruda causing my dry mouth so is having me pause a couple other recently started meds to see if one of them is the culprit. She also isn't concerned about my protein levels as my albumin is well within normal range. Happy Halloween to all those decorating and celebrating. Covid really killed my Halloween mojo so we will have the lights out and no candy in the house (except my stash of dark chocolate peanut butter cups). DD is the only one participating and will be over at a friend's for a movie marathon and to enjoy her neighborhood. Quite a few neighborhoods around here (including half of ours) really do go all out with skeletons, spiders and creatures climbing all over their houses and yards. Dinner tonight will be Korean tacos.

I might be the person who posted the Pioneer Woman chicken spaghetti recipe. I made it twice for the guys many years ago. It was very rich, IIRC. scrappintoee , you know that I love me some Meaty and Sophie pics. Those are adorable. Thank you for sharing my two favorite nurses. The Birdhouse Lady , Hudson is an adorable pumpkin. I'll bet you're going to give him all of the snuggles. I'm so pleased to hear such good news from the doctor. ntsf , your twins costume was very clever.
bc2ca, thank goodness today is better than Wed. This saline shortage is the real deal.
littlemama, enjoy watching the little ones and your ds's excitement when he hands out the candy.

I have an appt. w/my neurologist today. Time to get to the bottom of this and figure out how to stop it in it's tracks next time. This headache is better, but won't go away completely. I've been dealing w/another issue at the same time. My medical device isn't working. So, btwn the two things I've been a bit down for the count. (((Hugs))) and prayers - hope everything improves soon These photos are from a house up the street. those are awesome! Bessie is plotting my demise, anyway. so cute! Got my re-check results back, and they went in the direction they were not supposed to ((Hugs)) and prayers - feel better soon I've been a bit vaklempt this week, because of the paw-some Halloweens we used to have with Meaty and Sophie. Lots of families would say they looked forward to the "house with the bulldogs". (((Hugs))) what adorable bulldogs! No wonder you miss them so much Hudson is an adorable pumpkin. I'll bet you're going to give him all of the snuggles. I agree 100% DD18 dressed up for school today as one of the Robins (Jason?) from Batman - her friend dressed as Batman. Not expecting trick or treaters but will have candy just in case. Dinner is cheese stuff hotdogs wrapped in crescent rolls, deviled eggs, Harvest Chex Mix, Witches Brew (an orange sherbet punch), veggie platter skeleton, and pumpkin dip with apples and gingersnaps. The girls will watch horror movies (without me, lol)

Halloween is becoming more popular here. The last few years I have been buying a ton of treats, but we haven't had any TOTers. This year I didn't bother, and when I saw a couple of groups of kids and parents walking down our street I panicked. DSO had bought two packs of chocolates: mini packs of M&Ms and mini Crunchies. I had some mini Chup-a-Chups in the pantry so I put them all in a bowl. We were worried that we wouldn't have enough, so DSO turned all the lights out. Next year we will buy some kind of Halloween decoration to put on the letterbox so people know we are participating. rymeswithpurple is that your cat under the spider costume? And when you say that Bessie plotting your demise, does that mean Bessie is your cat who is going to get you back for dressing her up? ntsf and jeremysgirl when I hear "chicken spaghetti" I think of the Pioneer Woman's Chicken Spaghetti. Someone on this board recommended it many years ago, and I made it once. It was pretty good, even though I'm not usually a fan of chicken in pasta dishes. Well, I think that's the one I made, although I can't remember using Cream of Mushroom soup in anything, ever. ETA: As I've read further down the thread, I see that several others have posted the same recipe. sueg your Halloween display looks great! And cadoodlebug I would love to see the rest of your street at night, it must look amazing. PolarGreen12 is that your dog? So cute! scrappintoee I was hoping you would pop in to share your gorgeous adora-bull Halloween photos of your babies! The Birdhouse Lady Oh woweeee, Hudson is just the cutest little pumpkin!
