What fall transitions and changes have you made?
I switched to a heavier weighted blanket on my bed. It's getting colder during the night.
I have soup on my grocery list, as well as big size potato's. I like to have several pre-cooked baked potato's in my freezer, easy to pull out and heat up in the microwave.

It's slowly turning to fall here in DFW but I'm still wearing shorts.
I bought a bunch of new fall clothes that I can't wait to wear but it hasn't been cool enough. I'm hoping that by this weekend, the temps will have dropped enough to break some out.

While I still wear shorts and t-shirt around the house, I am now wearing a lightweight sweater because the mornings are cold. And I am using my house slippers again because the wood floors are cold. But it is not cold enough to turn on the heater and we haven't put more blankets on the bed yet.
I don't mind cooking more now though.
Fall in SoCal is warm days, cool nights. I love it!

I’ve switched from main dish salads to soups, I’m wearing my sheepskin slippers, moved plants back inside, drinking hot tea in the evening, wood for fireplace is stacked and ready to go.

I pulled out my flannel sheets -- wont use just them just yet but they're out and ready. I have switched out my summer clothes for fall/winter.

I'm still waiting for fall to arrive in Florida - hoping to turn off the a/c by Thanksgiving

The air has definitely turned crisp here in SF. I’ve switched from flip flops to tennis shoes when I walk to barre class in the evening. I’m also starting to wear cozy sweaters.

We’ve only a few days in October that would be considered fall like weather so I did turn on the gas fireplace for a hour to two in the morning to warm up the house on those days. Right now it’s 78 here and the windows are open. Maybe by Thanksgiving I’ll be able to wear something besides T-shirts and sandals.

The a/c has been off for a month. We've only needed the heater on a few times so far in the last month. It's hoodie wearing and/or a rain proof jacket weather. The flip flops are put away until next June.
Highs in the 50's, lows in the 40s, and it's raining today, and supposed to rain every day for the next five days. It's definitely fall in Washington.

I finally added a second blanket to my side of the bed.
Washed my hoodies and sweaters for the cooler mornings.

Flannel sheets are on and all rugs and blankets were washed to take advantage of our warm autumn days. It was 80 on Tuesday and 32 today. The heat is turned on and I'm making soup for dinner and meal prepped for some roasted vegs tomorrow. Most of the planting beds' plants are cut back for the winter snows. I bought and placed a warm jacket by the back door. The puppy requires supervision when outside! And I'm wearing a flannel shirt as I Pea.

I put the electric blanket on the bed in early October. Getting into a warm bed at night is heavenly.

We had our first snowfall yesterday, about 4". My sweet neighbor came over to help me switch the humidifier on my furnace to winter mode. Now that I know there is another step, I'll be able to manage next year.
I need to buy some flannel sheets for my bed. I brought in 2 geraniums to winter in the lower level in front of the patio door. I discarded another. I still need to put away all my cushions in my screen porch and stack the furniture. SOB!!! I love using my screen porch.

I brought out my weighted blanked and I am sleeping so much better. I started making soups and my summer clothes are in the back of the closet.
