You have one foot that is swelling and the swelling goes down with a water pill? Yes ... is that unusual? You might want to hit up urgent care or an ER, unless you know that you injured it. Edema in one leg can be a sign of a DVT blood clot. Or it could be nothing, but it bears being checked out.

Hi everyone! I hope your Friday is going well. I have an ultrasound today (for the record it was booked right away so my experience with health care in Canada of late has been nothing but excellent.) An MRI might take a month or more. Specialists I am not sure. I am happy to not need one if that makes sense.
Dinner tonight could be anything. It might be ribs, though. I envision lots of vegetables, too. One of us will need to go to the store. Probably not me.
I hope you all have a Happy Día de Los Muertos!

I really think if we plan it right, you, me and tmarschall could make something work. I think could jeremysgirl. We need to work on that for next summer.

leannec..sorry about the oysters. winter is the best time to eat them. I can remember a friend of my parents who was a fisheries professor.. he stopped by once with a 1/2 gallon can of oysters that had been shucked two hours earlier.. he opened the can and we all tried them. raw. he would come back from alaska trips with massive salmon that he would store in our stand alone freezer.. we never got any of that cause my dad was allergic to fish.

Not sure what is for dinner tonight. If I have to cook it will be this creamy shrimp dish served with cauliflower rice. I am hoping to go out for dinner though!!! Sounds like there were a lot of trick or treaters out and about last night. As usual we didn't get any. My Halloween plans included cleaning my stove top and three toilets. After not being able to bend over for 6 weeks it really makes a difference in my cleaning!!! DH just doesn't do it like I do!! jeremysgirl On the pic you posted yesterday are those jack-o-lanterns cut in a rusty propane tank?

The Birdhouse Lady yes they absolutely are. I found them at my indoor farmers market. The rusty outsides make them look orange. And we put colored lights inside them. I just love them.

Social media is blowing up in my development about how many tweens/teens were out last night. Every single person is saying the same thing: the kids were having a blast, they were all in costume, they were all extremely polite and every.single.one.of.them said THANK YOU! And have a great night! I even got compliments on my witches hat, my succulents and the bird house on the front porch that DH made. The parents of said kids are also on social media thanking everyone for reporting back that their kids were awesome. It makes my heart happy.

Good luck to you today scrapmaven, I hope they're able to fix your headache once and for all. I found a new puzzle for you yesterday, and it has a Pea connection: Bottle Caps by Lana Cease (Freebird). I think she's also selling it on her own site. I'm hoping that she has another jigsaw made from her Candy Store painting. cadoodlebug I love that idea with the emails! I keep seeing these great ideas that I would have loved to have done when my kids were babies. I'll have to keep a list of the ideas to pass onto my kids when/if they eventually have kids. leannec how is it that you love oysters but don't like bacon?! I take it that you don't eat Oysters Kilpatrick? karenlou safe travels to you! What a wonderful thing you are doing. After a long week at work, I was determined to finish work by 5pm... but Friday did what Fridays do best, and it was after 6pm before I finally logged off. I had been so looking forward to plonking myself down on the couch and watching a ton of TV, but people kept dropping over. We had a total of nine people drop in throughout the afternoon/evening, so I had to forego my quiet night by the TV and socialise instead! DD brought over pizza, so I had my favourite chipotle chicken on puff pastry pizza.

(( hugs )) to anyone who needs 'em! My day started out difficult----I guess remembering our previous Halloweens with Meaty and Sophie got to me. Several neighbors said they missed them, which really touched my heart. I was fine last night, but dammmmnit if when I woke up today, the grief overcame me. Annnnnd, later, once I'd calmed down, I was happily absorbed into a good book, then the BURNING in my trapezius and scapulae started... and BAM! My head felt as if it would explode. And as per usual, my left hip is killllllling me, no matter what I do. Hoping we can go to some kind of Fall event outdoors tomorrow, and see all the beautiful leaves before they die. There is a popular area for "leaf peeping" about 2 hours from us, and it is breathtaking !!! This was Oct or Nov 2020----that's precious Little Guy and Meaty on the front patio with Daddy. Peep those GORGEOUS trees in our neighbor's yard !

leannec how is it that you love oysters but don't like bacon?! I take it that you don't eat Oysters Kilpatrick? I used to love bacon ... it just doesn't do anything for me anymore ... weird I know! What is this Oysters Kilpatrick that you speak of? I am accustomed to simply eating oysters on the half shell with a mignonette sauce ... fresh and yummy!

KelleeM....so sorry you're struggling. leannec .....(from google) Oysters Philpatrick are a dish of oysters topped with cooked bacon, seasoned with Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, or other flavorings, then broiled. WikipediaAre you elevating your painful foot? Icing and/or applying heat? Hope it feels better soon! Also, sorry your sciatica still hurts!

scrapmaven , thinking of you. We only had about 75 kids last night so, unfortunately, there is lots of candy left. (I say that sincerely as a diabetic. I might tell DH to hide it from me.) Dinner will be Sloppy Joe's. TGIF!! I love this idea. Sadly it is 38 years to late for me! Love this idea - way too late even for our grandchildren!
