I'm so sad. This will pobably destroy our business as no NIH funding for cancer treatments. We do have money for PK/PD studies, but no clinical trials.

Hugs  from another Canadian. Don't know how I can help the American Peas, but, I do live very close to the Buffalo border crossing. Women's health care is excellent with decisions between a woman & a doctor. If I can help, please let me know. I was planning a trip to the west coast next year but it may move up to December this year. I really do not understand how out of 330 million people that T@#$% is the best the Republican party could offer. Vance really scares me,  as he is younger and will be around longer than the other guy. A lot of people didn't study their history lessons.  |

I just feel so defeated. Again. I'm scared for my little family. I'm scared for my black husband, and my biracial child. I'm scared for women. I'm scared for our health. Just all of it. It's hard to not feel like the shit could really hit the fan sooner than later.

Missouri voted to overturn the abortion ban but I wonder if it’s even going to matter. This is devastating and I need to find a way to get through the next 4 years without stressing myself out or developing a drinking problem. |

So sad this morning. Worried about the fallout from this not just for my family ( ACA, LGBTQ , women's health, education, etc) but so many others who will affected. We have friends in Germany texting us who are very concerned as well.

I have a bi-weekly team meeting that is optional and I skipped it this morning even though I always go. I just can't hide how I feel today and I'm getting weepy periodically. I did invite my parents over for dinner and I'm sure we'll commiserate.

I'm a woman with stage 3 cancer and an immigrant (naturalized citizen)... I can only imagine this is what my great-grandparents felt like under Nazi occupation.
There are no words. I was so proud to get my citizenship. Today? I'm ashamed and embarrassed.

When Bush was president, we took a trip to London and were visiting the Museum when a guy in line asked us if we were American. We said yes and he went on to rail at us about how horrible Bush was and even though I didn't vote for him, I felt a little offended that this guy was attacking my country.
If it happened now, I'd have to agree with him.

I drive my 86 (almost 87) YO neighbor to/from the gym 3x a week (yes, she is that awesome). This morning’s discussion was about the fact that she was born during WW2, with a fascist regime affecting the entire world in power, and will now cap off her life with another. She is heartbroken. TG she is a former mental health nurse and is able to (somewhat) deal with it all.
