Judging by how he looked in the last days and weeks of the campaign, I imagine he's sleeping. Or counting his money and devising plans to enrich himself while in office. Wonder if he'll continue selling crypto, sneakers, Bibles etc?

I think A. He's tired, old, not well B. Reality is starting to sink in. The prison threat goes away, but now he has responsibilities that aren't golf. There are briefings, there are phone calls, there is Gaza & Ukraine C. The internal struggle of who is really in charge have started. The Musk / Thiel billionaires who expect him to let them orchestrate the creation of the US oligarchy vs. the culture crusaders who want to set the clocks back.
Just as we are not as naïve as we were in 2016, neither is he. It was obvious, IMO, he was using Ivanka and Jared as a crutch and we don't know what role they will be willing to play this time. It sounds like they still want to be more hands off, and Tiffany's husband seems like he's going to be the one involved more with trying to make sure Donald doesn't look like an idiot. Anyway, family dynamics are different too.

I agree with all this. He doesn’t want the work, he wants power and for the rich kids to finally let him in the clubhouse.
I cannot even believe I’m saying this, but when he gets shoved aside and Vance is in front, at least we won’t have to listen to him ramble out his orange pie hole every day. I loathe him and Vance is just as stupid and evil, but at least he can string sentences together.
And on that note, I don’t think Vance can summon the blind devotion that TFG gets. I know they’re both just puppets but it’s a little comforting that MAGA will take a hit.

It is really hard to believe he hasn’t been seen and isn’t posting tweets. It is very strange. Happy to not hear from him but at the same time gives you a sense of dread as to what they are plotting.

This is what we’re reduced to. Hoping that one of McConnell’s cronies takes over the Senate. I don’t like either of them, but they would be better than Rick Scott. But, I’m not sure it matters. In the end, they all roll over for Trump and kiss the ring.
