I pick things up all year (and usually end up with way too many stocking stuffers - and we have giant stockings)
I have bought both adult DDs their big gifts (sewing machine and mini pottery wheel plus supplies) and know what I am getting DSO (Meta Quest)
My mom will be hard this year as she has been dealing with a dementia diagnosis so will be selling her house/downsizing plus she has lost interest/ability to participate in her regular activities (jigsaws, crosswords, reading and cards) and doesn’t really enjoy leaving the house. I always do her stocking too, luckily she still enjoys sweets and treats and scratch tickets so I’m seeing a lot of those in her future.

DH just purchased two big things for himself. DS gave me a list and am mostly done. I’m just holding off on a couple items hoping for a sale. I have no idea what to get for my MIL and no ideas for myself and need birthday and Christmas ideas. I bought a few things that I will hand off to DH.

Any Christmas gifts purchased? Oh yes, thank goodness. I'd be stressed if I didn't have any yet. I'd like to be done before December except for just a few local gift certificates. Any new decoration ideas? No, we're sort of in a decorating rut right now. My kids like to do the decorating, and their style is a bit of "Christmas exploding across the house"--it's just any mix of anything plopped anywhere, LOL! But they really love it. So, I'll do more of my own thing in future years, and for now I enjoy decorating a few small areas and watching them do the rest. Any recipes you wish to try or are anticipating? I'm hoping by getting more gift & card tasks done early will mean that as a family we can try a few new recipes, but I don't have anything in mind yet.

I spent today (off work and no kids in the house) wrapping gifts. I then promptly took a nap lol.
