...a Cricut Expression 2 that works with cartridges, and a ton of Cricut cartridges? I have not used this for several years, and really don't think in terms of "What can I cut for that?" (although the part of my brain that fights against throwing anything away is sure that one day I will need "exactly that shape").
Many of the cartridges were gifted to me by justjac when she upgraded her machine, but I did purchase a bunch of them, including the cartridges that go with specific CTMH stamp sets.

I would go through all of my "waiting to be scrapbooked" photographs, and make notes and ideas of what would work with the photographs....based on the cartridges. That way when you are ready to make stuff, you can reference the list for ideas.
That is what I did for my ongoing "make words out of partially used alphabet letters sheets and chipboard" project. Seeing the photographs, helped me think of words. I have a list to reference as I very slowly work on my "make words" project.

Donate it to a school. Or even just one teacher.
I have an Expression also, but still want to keep it for *some* of my cartridges. Just this week I finally got a cart where I can keep it out along with my Silhouette and be able to use it more readily.

Are you asking for ideas on how to use it, where to sell/give it away, or both?
If you're looking to sell it, I don't think you'll get much for it. You'd probably be better off donating it and claiming it on your taxes.
If you're looking for ideas on how to use it, maybe you could watch some old videos with projects and ideas for using the old machines. It might remind you of why you got the machine in the first place. I used to watch a channel called Creations With Christina, and she inspired me a lot. I just checked, and the videos are still there. You might have to use "Creations With Chritina Cricut" as your search terms, because she has moved on to other crafts.
Have fun!

I have been dealing with this same issue. I have an expression 2 and about 70 cartridges. I called Cricut last week and got all my cartridges linked to my account and I am giving everything to my daughter. I am upgrading to a maker 3. Just waiting to see if there is a good deal for Black Friday.

I'm still using mine with the cartridges nylene gave me. In fact I used it today to make a roller skate for a page... mycutsearch.com/ is the website I use to find which cartridge a specific image is on because I tend to think...I need a roller skate not let pull out this specific cartridge and find something that'll work, lol. grammadee - if you decide that it's not for you, I bet I can think of a grandson of yours who might enjoy creating with it.

grammadee if you think you might use it keep it. If it sits in the closet another year maybe ask yourself the same question. . I had the OG Cricut. The designs were very limited— mostly basic shapes and alphabets. I didn’t use it often enough to remember the instructions and had to learn all over again. After a year or so I gave it away to a friend. I think we all have an item or two that we just can’t let go. We know we’ll use it some time even if that time is 10 years from now.

Since you haven't used it & likely won't in the future, I suggest donating the machine & cartridges. You would encourage creativity for a grandchild(ren), fellow papercrafter, LSS, or organization (e.g. elementary school, middle or high school art department, community art center with an after-school art program, children's ministry at a church) while simultaneously freeing storage spacing in your craft room for either better organization of existing supplies or new supplies that you'll actually use to create your projects!

I had a similar situation, I gave mine to a coworker. She was so excited. I hadn’t asked her previously because I thought she wouldn’t be interested.

If you decide to give it away you might check with your library. Our local library system has a die cut machine that the public can come in and use.

I gave away my original 6" Cricut and a few cartridges to his cousins when they were about this age. But if I do that, it would probably not GO anywhere, as most of his papercrafting takes place here. Thanks for the link for finding specific shapes. Maybe after Christmas I will take some time to relearn how the machine works and try cutting out a few things. Got enough on my plate right now.

Maybe after Christmas I will take some time to relearn how the machine works and try cutting out a few things. Got enough on my plate right now. I would suggest sticking a post it note or sticker on it with a date and note that you were thinking about passing it along. Then next time you look at it and say "I don't think I've used this in ages" you'll have an actual date to reference how long it's been. Tech like this just gets more and more obsolete so maybe telling your brain you're giving it away now while it's still useful to someone (assuming you can find someone who wants it) rather than waiting until it's actually trash will make it feel better. A teacher or a library would be a great place to start. I understand you're more worried about that rotten Justin Case, so here's my decluttering tough love: YOU ARE A CREATIVE PERSON! If you don't have this thing you WILL figure out something just as good, if not better, to use instead. When your brain tells you the lie of "if only I still had that cartridge..." remind it that 1. those cartridges probably didn't have what you wanted and 2. you wouldn't have wanted to drop what you're doing to take the time to figure the machine out again anyway, so you'd have found something else to use... just like you have been doing for the past several years. Now I'm going to go look in the mirror and tell myself that same about my little-used ScanNCut!

I mostly use my Silhouette, but I kept my Cricuts for a couple of reasons. Reason 1 was because when we first moved to our current home, internet was sometimes unpredictable. I could still use my Cricut Expression and cartridges without internet and keep on crafting. Reason 2 is because there are some great designs on those cartridges, including Disney designs. I also have a Cricut Expore Air 2. I can have multiple machines going at once. I can have friends over, and we can all work on different layouts at once with little to no waiting.
Someday, my kids and grandkids can figure out what to keep and what to yard sale.
