Quality first, then convenience. But I also won’t support companies that contribute to hate and mistreatment. I don’t obsessively research companies so I know my choices would be far more limited if I did, but when I know a company supports practices I don’t believe in I won’t spend my money there.

I was thinking about this more, and I think what has kept us shopping the same way for so long boils down to availability of the precise items we want to buy.
Because we have a lot of dietary needs and wants, and because we meal plan then really try to shop just once a week, we really need to know we can go out once and find everything we want without being forced to try to make substitutions.
I think that's more important to us than anything else. We very much want to find everything on our list--in the exact brands and versions we're looking for.

Convenience and availability and accessibility. Dragging my toddler to the store can either be a pleasant outing or a nightmare. I'm sure most of you can remember those days. lol My city doesn't have a lot of options, so it's Walmart or Target or one of like 15 Food Lions or one lone Piggly Wiggly. No Publix. No Trader Joes. Sigh.

Location is the biggest factor for me. I live rurally, about 20 miles from the nearest stores. A little further away for bigger stores. The less driving I have to do, the better. My favorite thing is when several stores I need to shop at are closely located to each other so I can get many errands done without driving to town and then driving all over town.
1. Location 2. Price 3. Selection 4. Cleanliness/ease of shopping experience in store (items not locked up, etc)
