My bank account is safe. My gosh can we PLEASE get some new designers??? BV looks like MH.
Shimmelle is using similar icons. Boring.
Need none of it.
Man I haven't bought AC in about over a year I think.

Why is AC so hungry up on:
Vans/Converse high tops
Carrousel horses
Colorful circles/pie charts
Paint brushes
The same god awful font for words
Banners
Clipboards
Bunnies/deer (regardless the line/season)
Ferns/palm trees
And the colors and fonts and icons gave me an idea of who created the line before I stopped to look

I might pick up some of the Shimelle and VB, possibly a little Bo Bunny

I like some of the papers in all of the lines except for the Bo Bunny. I hate that entire line, minus the enamel dots. I really do love Happy Haven though. Thats going to be a must have.

I also like the brighter colors but nothing is tempting me, well maybe a random sheet here and there but not enough to get a whole collection.

I am happy to see they are putting out new collections even though most of it is not tempting to me.

I went through the papers on all seven lines and what I put in my cart to consider later:
3 Shimelle 3 Bo Bunny (but they are all the same pattern just different colors I probably would not purchase all three) 2 Vicky Boutin 1 Maggie Holmes 1 Jen Hadfield 0 Bea Valant and Paige Evans.
I didn't look at embellishments, or stickers or anything, just paper.

Flowers, Flowers, and more flowers. Yuck. No desire for any of it. Not even the B sides and I usually love the B sides.

I agree with pantsonfire that Bea Valint is just the new MH. That said I quite like the shade of green and the deeper yellow in this line, and there are a couple of b sides I might consider. I like a couple of the b sides in Maggie's line as well.
I'll likely pick up some of the Bo Bunny tiny polka dots. That shade of lime-y green is one that seems to work well with my photos and is a colour I'm always running out of so that paper will get lots of use.
I like the yellow paper with hearts in Jen's line but everything else is an easy pass. I don't love the retro aesthetic they've given her. I like the school notebook paper in Shimelle's line, but I think everything else is a very easy pass.
Vicki's lines are very hit or miss for me and I don't love this one. I like the cut apart of rainbow tags, and I think the little deer in the embellishments is cute.
I noticed a couple of the lines had a thickers pack that was a mix of alpha and title/embellishments which I thought was interesting. I really hate how they split the alpha across two sides, I realise they do it so both can be seen on shelf, but it still irrationally annoys me.

I am a no on Maggie Holmes, Bea Valiant, and this Vicki Boutin collection. The rest there are at least 4-6 papers I want, and some embellishments. I hear what you ladies are saying about the Paige Evans, Jen Hadfield, and Shimelle being a lot like there other stuff - the thing is, until now I haven't had access to a lot of American Crafts, so I would like to get some.

Gotta zoom off to work so I will take a deep dive into the collections later - I only briefly glanced at Jen, Shimelle, Vicki, and thus far the Vicki looks like something I will buy for sure... but I am very happy to see them all!

At first glance there isn’t anything popping out as a must have. Typically I really like the shimelle lines but this isn’t a favorite either. But I didn’t look too closely nor at b sides so I’ll do that before putting them in my not interested pile.

I'd like to get some of the Create Joy and some of the Live The Dream pieces. I doubt I'd purchase everything though.
I like the idea behind the Shimelle stamp for the bracelet, but I know those stamps are cheap and suck at stamping.

I may purchase a few papers, but overall nothing screams buy me.
I hate the mix of shapes in what they are calling enamel dots. Some of them look more like puffy sticker material than enamel dots.

I like some individual sheets, but AC minimum orders are so high that my LSS doesn’t usually get individual sheets anymore. My money is safe, too.

None of these papers are speaking to me. Especially with Joann closing, I don't see myself purchasing any of these.
The Shimelle one in particular is sooo themey, at this point I feel like she is designing only for Disney albums.

I messaged Shimelle since I know in the past lines were up for preorder before she was allowed to discuss them per her contract. She was surprised even more so with this one because she said she submitted her designs about 6 months ago and was never told if they were accepted. She had no idea what the final line looked like and was very surprised by a few paper designs.
Interesting that the named designers don't have as much influence/involvement as we assume they do.

I really like the Bo Bunny papers. They look nothing like Bo Bunny which is why I probably like them. The patterns are colors are very useable and no pink in sight. The embellishments are not enticing me.
The rest are typical, majority pink and flowery, and I not even interested in the Shimelle and Vicki lines. They have been underwhelming the past few releases.
I can’t wait to see what Vicki does with 49 and Market and PE with Pinkfresh. I hope Paige will embrace the cleaner, modern PF style. I think VB is a great fit for 49 and Market.

I have not looked yet, but what a relief. With the Paige joining Pinkfresh thread, I thought for sure AC is dead. Glad to see it is not.
ETA: Ok I looked only at some of the papers. I like the brightness and a little bit of almost all the collections, but definitely not one a whole lot. I'm just happy they are putting stuff out. I will have to go back and take a more detailed look.

I like the Vicki Boutin collection.
The other collections are a no for me. There are a few cute items, but I already have something similar.
In general: I wish word thickers would go back to being bigger words only, and stop being smaller words and random icons surrounding the words.

My further analysis in brief:
- bo bunny - going 49&market vibe, and I love the colours and "plain" pps! Will buy many papers.
- shimelle - alas, mainly a miss for me because I adore her other recent stuff. I get no Disney vibe at all - the amusement park stuff is def not disneyish. My belief is that this is designed for YOUNG scrappers - those using the "junk journals" and stuff. gummy bears, amusement parks, Swiftie bead bracelets, fun smiley faces - I think this may be a brilliant attempt to spread our supplies into the young 'uns realm, draw them in.
- vicki - I like the colours and some of the pps. Also like the foam sticker sheet, and why do I think that deer is so cute? I'm not a wild-life user typically.
- paige - oof, NO, far too bitsy floral and busy.
- maggie - the further I get comfortable with my style and preferences, the more I realize Maggie isn't meant for me.
- bea - what does a FAWN have to do with travel? For Pete's sake, most of the collection is soooooo saccharine! I really don't understand this collection. Terribly specific to "coast" and "sun/sand", but then these twee flowers and wallpapers? However, paper #11 - send me 4 of those - it's a lovely stripe and neutral tags!
The more I look and think about what I use, I also think about generational styles... Maggie, Bea and Paige (in descending order of "old" vibe) make me think of my granny's house. So I can relate to the products on that level even if they aren't my style. But 21 year olds haven't experienced that generation and I can't imagine them relating to these "old fashioned" collections.

I like some individual sheets, but AC minimum orders are so high that my LSS doesn’t usually get individual sheets anymore. My money is safe, too. My understanding is AC no longer allows direct wholesale orders - they have to go through a third party, such as Notions. I'm not sure if international wholesale orders are handled differently, but it may be worth your LSS to check in to.

In the house, I am up to my elbows in Christmas scrap crap, which I need to finish with before I can move on to any other season, and and outside I am up to my butt in snowbanks, so not really looking at these collections very closely. I also have tons of summer scrappy stuff, and barely need any spring stuff. Hoping I can get a chance to see some of these new collections IRL when I might really love some of them and be able to pass over the rest easily. Almost from the beginning I felt like Shimelle was designing for her photos. I think WB must have an instax camera LOL. But I like her lighthearted designs for scrapping teens and their adventures.

I just watched her livestream from this morning where she mentioned that she was as surprised as we were that this line was being made public today. She mentioned that there were 12 papers instead of the usual 24. Also that they are double-sided as usual, but the back side is another “a-side” type of design, not the usual b-side polka dots or neutral pattern. The b-side designs are in either a project or paper pad, she wasn’t sure which. I’m not sure what AC is up to with those changes.
