Just because I am in shock and don't know what else to do. I got home from my weekend and it seems my DH was in worse shape than either of us knew. He passed away early this morning. I'll not be posting any dinner plans this week. I'll be back soon. Oh, no! Im so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you and sending prayers for peace and comfort

All 3 of those brown threads have now gone missing. I have searched high and low since Saturday and they are nowhere to be found in this house. (Although I did find my favorite seam ripper that had been missing for 2 weeks!). Can't finish the canvas without them so will have to purchase all of them again. Of course, that means that once I do that the originals will probably show themselves! Quoting myself because I have an update! Bought the replacement threads this afternoon. After I got home, I did indeed find the missing threads...but it's a good thing I bought more. Seems that the dog ATE them, intact with hang tags and all. Discovered this when I was in the backyard and noticed some odd looking poop piles. He ate $20 worth of threads! I suppose I should be thankful that he didn't end up needing surgery or medical treatment.

naby64, you are in my thoughts aND prayers. The dinner thread is filled with empathetic ladies who can support you when you need it most. Though I'm sure you're in shock right now. My heart breaks for you.

Just popping on to give my condolences to you naby64 ... feel free to talk about anything you are feeling when you join us again! I am working in a high school today, tomorrow and Thursday ... today was painful because the teacher did not leave enough work for the students to do ... we had a lot of leftover time ... I hate that because I then have to find a way to fill that time ... not easy when it is the first day of the new semester! . We ended up with a lot of "chat amongst yourselves!" Dinner was fresh linguini with an alfredo sauce and parmesan cheese ... very rich but very yummy! Oh, and I found a homeless dude asleep between the two doors leading into my condo complex at 6:45 am today ... I woke him up and told him to scram ... he had his computer charging in the outlet! He was high and was not moving quickly and I was impatient because I was on my way to work ... my direct "encouragement" did not make him happy and he started to get pissed off so I went inside behind the locked door and spoke to another resident ... I asked him to email the condo board and/or the police ... no idea how long the guy had been there but I have trouble believing that I was the first person to see him ... how many just ignored him?!

I didn’t make it to the thread last night as it was crazy here. My friend and her daughter are staying a few days, as she has another custody/access visit hearing today and is very nervous about her ex following her and finding out where she lives. I am about as far away from her home as possible within Munich, so a lot safer. I am also picking the daughter up from school today, so my friend doesn’t have to go there either. We made a simple dinner of pasta with meat sauce, as I was sure the young one would eat that.
This morning was DDiL’s dad’s funeral. DS has just sent me a few photos and my precious Sophia was again brave enough to stand up and speak about her Nonno, just as she did for her Nonna last year. I am so proud of that little girl.

naby64, my heart is breaking for you. I have been there and so have others. I’m sure that all of us, the whole dinner tribe, posters and lurkers alike, will be here for you in the days and weeks to come. We love you. Come back when you can.
