I made 100 but considering I just passed the interview and exam and will become a US citizen in a couple of weeks it's not surprising that I had all 100 questions well memorized.

I am ashamed to say I got 40/50. But, I dislike history!

I got them all correct. I thought it was fairly easy but I always loved history.

I thought it was easy too. I missed one. But I knew the answer I was just taking it too quickly.

I did the Facebook quiz too. I got 48/50. NOT a substitute teacher either. It was one of my best subjects in school. I forwarded it to my brother who teaches this and is certified in it. Wanna see how well HE does! LOL

I can't believe I missed 5! 3 of the 5 I knew were wrong when I clicked them and feel stupid about that. My husband is a Civics teacher - guess I need to get him to quiz me sometimes!

48/50 and I'm a Brit so well pleased at that score! Geography was fine, missed two of the civics questions.

You can miss 20 and still become a citizen? Then what's the point?

You can miss 20 and still become a citizen? Then what's the point? You are given a civics hand book to study when you are fingerprinted. There are 100 questions. You will be asked any 10 . You must get 6 right. It's not multiple choice and there are so such thing as "all of the above". You will be asked "Name one write of the federalist papers". You say "publius" for example and they write your answer down with a checkmark or an X.

You can miss 20 and still become a citizen? Then what's the point? You are kidding right? Most people seeking citizenship have another language to learn, or at least a different dialect, and then learn American Civics, then pass a difficult test that most, and I do mean most people born in the US could never pass. Imagine yourself going to Russia, for example, then after you learn the language and the alphabet then you get to learn enough Russian history IN RUSSIAN to pass a test. I know you had to have misunderstood 'the point.' You can't be that much of a snob. Hell, I missed 5 out of 50, I do believe that's even more than 20 percent. Do I lose my citizenship now?

I got 40 and was feeling pleased with myself until I saw Dottyscrapper's score. I'm also a Brit and this shows how much about the US being a pea has taught me. Most of what I got wrong were to do with historical US figures. I got 45, and everything I missed was around historical figures (who wrote what, what they were famous for) One or two were lucky guesses though, like no. of representatives, I knew ballpark but could have easily been one of 2 answer.

Pretty happy with my 40/50 considering I am an Aussie who is NOT interested in politics! I did correctly guess a few though.

I had a two of the "Oh crap, I hit the wrong one" answers, too. (Apparently I didn't learn my lesson after the first one!)
I am not really all that interested in history or politics, so I expected to bomb this, but I missed only 4, including the ones I just messed up.
So that tells me that this must be a pretty easy quiz, LOL.

100% correct here! Full disclosure: I teach American Government and history. My students would never let me live it down if I missed one. I give this (well, a version of it) as a pre-test every year. I only have a handful every year who pass, which I always tell them justifies why they have to take my class! If you are taking it to actually become a citizen, the test is oral and you are asked about ten questions. You have to get 7/10 right to pass. Edited: I see where someone who has recently passed the citizenship exam says it's six of ten to pass. Congrats on passing!

I got them all right. But I taught social studies for 10 years, so I'd better get them right! Ditto! I'm very impressed by our Canadian and UK Peas. Very, very impressed!

I got them all right. But I hate picnics, football, and country music, so I'm probably getting deported anyway.
