I guess the DOJ is investigating the rising egg prices. Shell ShockedOh of course. Now they think it’s corporate price gouging. Under Biden, it was just all his fault. I can’t want to see Trump tell his corporate donors they have to stop jacking up prices and take a lower profit.

Kansas City suburbs, we paid $13.99 for 18 eggs. It wasn't organic/cage free. Just regular large eggs. A dozen was $8.99.

Two weeks ago, I paid $4.79 for a dozen. Today in the same grocery store, they were $7.99. I did not buy them.

Here in central Iowa, I paid $6.22 for 18 at Sams earlier this week and $8.70 for 18 at Target the week before. If I were to buy them at my local grocery store it would be $9.70 for 18 ($6.49 for a dozen). $5.97 a dozen at both Aldi's and Walmart here in Northeast Iowa.
Where are you, Huskermom?

I know this is about egg prices, but how about that freaking butter? It's almost $1/stick still.

I paid $8.98 for 18 eggs at Walmart yesterday. They are actually cheaper at Sprouts but I had to go to Walmart for other things not sold at Sprouts which I why I picked them up.

We usually get our eggs direct (and super fresh!) from a local Hutterite colony for $3 a dozen, delivered to town. Today I had to buy a dozen at the grocery store and they were $4.69 for a dozen ... they're probably less at a 'cheaper' grocery chain, but I shop at a co-op.
*prices are in Canadian dollars, obviously

Trader Joes in Austin had zero eggs on the shelf the last 2x I was in the store.
I always buy organic eggs, and I think we paid upwards of $8 for the last dozen we found at HEB. Yikes.
