I think the Crafty Babe collection was created for the 2024 Simple Stories Retreat - it was the retreat theme and was designed to inspire a Barbie vibe.

At first glance, Happy Travels doesn't "wow" me, but I have a feeling it's going to grow on me. Sometimes a collection that doesn't grab me at first turns out to be super useable and ends up being a favorite. The colors are good for travel photos. I will see if Simple Stories or Layle By Mail are doing any online classes with this collection and sign up for that. I would love a Simple Stories class for the travel collection. I don't know why travel collections have hot air balloons, though. For some reason it's one of my most hated icons. What percentage of scrapbookers have ever been in a hot air balloon? I realize it's metaphorical, like freedom, air, going somewhere, but still, it annoys me. I like the Book Fair collection as far as school collections go. School was such a miserable struggle for my son and for me and my husband that I try not to remember anything about those days, though. Still, I do have some photos from field trips and of my son with his friends, so maybe one day I should scrap those, and this collection could work. Vintage Woodlands is gorgeous but I rarely go out in nature so I have no need for it. I need the Sunny Days collection, and I can actually use the Vespa icon (we bought one last year). I love the bathing suit paper.

Book Fair: I have oodles of school themed papers, so I don't need any of this. A few of the "almost-solid" color sheets could be useful, so I might buy them on their own.
Crafty Babe: This line isn't for me in theme or colors, so I'll be skipping this one.
Happy Travels: I like the colors, and again, I might buy some of the "almost-solid" color sheets.
Simple Vintage Woodlands: I love this one! In colors and theme it works well with a lot of my photos, plus it would work for cards for several people I give cards to. I could also see myself using this for journals, altered notepads, etc.
Sunny Days: I like the colors and some of the ephemera and individual sheets. The clouds and ice cream cones caught my eye, as did the crossword embellishment, as word puzzles are often part of my summer/vacation experiences.

I'll probably pick up some of the add-ons, maybe a page or two from a few collections. But I'm really, really into the bits and pieces lately!

Oh man, maybe I'm the only one but I totally dig the Crafty Babe (Barbie) line! I scrapbook my Expo trips and my hot pink craft room, so I am in love. I myself am a 55 year old Crafty Barbie at heart, so yeah, I'll be excited to pick up this one. I thought the woods one was the only one that I feel I haven't already seen, but I don't spend time in the woods. (Barbie's more of a beach girl. ) Even the Crafty Babe is super similar to previous lines, but I like that for some continuity in scrapping about my scrap stuff.

Book Fair - I also thought this would be about reading/library. Might buy an ephemera pack. Crafty Babe- Way too "Barbie". Happy Trav.- I like the journal bits and sentiments ephemera. Woodlands - Beautiful, esp the foxes. Sunny Days - Didn't care for this one. Thanks for showing us PaperAngel.

I like Simple Vintage Woodlands. It reminds me of some of the 49 and Market collections. I’ll probably get some of the papers and stickers. The other collections don’t appeal to me.
Sunny days reminds me of a thread we had here a while back. The stickers have bathing suits on them and the discussion was about how those stickers would/could be used on a layout. I don’t think that’s something I’d use.

Book Fair - I really like this one. Good colors and pretty useful icons. I'm nearing the end of my teaching career so this would be good to document it. Crafty Babe - I kind of like the Barbie vibe, oddly enough. I have so many scrapbook themed lines already, though. Happy Travels - There are a couple of papers I like, but that is about it. Simple Vintage Woodlands - I'll get a lot of this. I love the colors, the mushrooms, and the woodland creatures. Very pretty watercolor style. And the map paper has Ohio right in the center of it, so I'll get a bunch of the solids for scrapping other things about my home state. ETA: Sunny Days - There is nothing wrong with this collection- it is just that the color palette and the images don't really grab me.
So Book Fair and Woodlands are musts. I'll probably get a couple of things from Crafty Babe, and nothing from Happy Travels or Sunny Days.

Sunny days- again less pink and I love the greens blues and oranges. As a boy mom k can use this but the bathing suits!?!? I never use those and no trunks for boys that I saw even if I wanted too. I really just want want a summer line not catered towards swim.

... Is this the first time we've seen a collection kit priced at $18.99? It appears Simple Stories annually increases the price of its Collection Kits from $17.49/each last year (& $16.99/each in 2023).

I felt a little sticker shock on this price increase. ... While the cost of collection kits, which include 12 sheets of patterned paper + 1 sticker sheet, increased, the price of both single sheets of patterned paper ($1.19; e.g. Simple Vintage Woodlands: Time to Unplug) & cardstock stickers ($3.99; e.g. Simple Vintage Woodlands) remain the same. Collection kits ($18.99) are no longer less than or even the same as purchasing the elements individually [$18.27 = (12 x $1.19) + (1 x $3.99)]; rather, collection kits are ($0.72) more expensive!

Thanks for doing the math for us. It’s a good time to start choosing individual pieces of paper instead of automatically adding the collection kit to my cart.

Book Fair - I was expecting (hoping) for a reading/library theme, not school. Plus I am not wild about the colors. So easy pass. Crafty Babe - cute but not something I could use. I kind of chuckled about the ever present VW bus sticker considering how much stuff people bring to crops. ha! Happy Travels- I like a lot of the icons but I haaaate the color combo. Simple Vintage Woodlands - it's pretty, but I don't have pictures for this theme. Sunny Days - I kinda love this one. But I really don't need it. PaperAngel Thanks for sharing!

marg - I also have a strong aversion to hot air balloons. I'm not a literal scrapbooker so they wouldn't have to be on a page with hot air balloon pictures but I struggle with them and mostly used them for layering - sometimes I cut off the basket to make it more usable.

I like all of these! But I'm not sure I like them enough to buy them.
On one hand, I really love SS's aesthetic.
On the other hand, I'm slightly bored with it. I've been in the freezer since September 2024. I emerged from the freezer today long enough to re-order some older supplies from other manufacturers (Stamperia, Mintay) that are disappearing and I feel like I really can't live without them.
In contrast, I think I can live without most of this stuff. I do like the woodlands embellishments a lot, though, so maybe I will cave in and grab some of those.

Thanks for your responses. I don't gravitate toward vintage collections & found these collections repeats of previous releases. I dislike that stencils were not included in this release & hope they have not been discontinued. Nothing is added to my wish list.

I'm with you on hoping their stencils aren't being discontinued.
