New Season of The Handmaid's Tale out Today

Gosh, thanks, I thought it was later in the month. Not sure I am ready to see what happens.

I’m ready for it! Rewatched all seasons about a month ago.

I think we missed the last few episodes of the last season. I should check on that!

I'm rewatching again and wondered if I should be putting myself through this right now.  I'm aware of the effect it is having on my mood, but I do enjoy watching.  I need to hurry so I can get to the new season before I see any spoilers.

Aargh, I thought it started tonight (Wednesday) but I just checked and it was actually on last night (Tuesday). Oh well, I'll just have to start it tonight. 

I wanted to do a rewatch but it all gives me such a feeling of unease because I can see how easily we could become Gilead. It's unnerving, which is part of what makes the show good. I am excited to see how it all ends so I think I'm just going to try to find a decent recap on youtube because I can't remember where anything left off in the last season.

I thank my lucky stars every day that I live in MN where I continue to have more rights than women in TX do. You do realize that women in TX have died from the lack of adequate and timely reproductive health care, and that the rate of sepsis in pregnant/miscarrying women has almost tripled since 2022?

Have you even watched the show? But do go on about how it doesn’t seem like parts of the USA are becoming more and more dystopian for women by the day.

Thank you for the reminder. I didn't watch last season because I knew this season was the last season. So I'm going to back and watch from the beginning. It's going to depress me since I think we're moving in that direction.

It sure seems like it to me too. I’m glad I’m less than a day’s drive to Canada and that our passports are all current.

Don’t you live in Texas? I suppose you are too old to die of an ectopic pregnancy so who cares. 

I'm also in Texas and yes, we are well on our way.  Certain measures of healthcare are now illegal, they're trying to indoctrinate all students into Christianity at public schools, and it's becoming illegal to leave the state for certain healthcare procedures.   Among many other things.  

It's been so long since I have watched it, I don't even remember if I finished it.  Is this the final final?
