Well, the lawn is all mowed by a company we had hired couple years ago. But the grass pollen added to the tree pollen has given me a mild headache.
On my way with a friend within an hour to a new place to go make cards. Then weāll do a late lunch early dinner. Hope to stop at the best farmers market for asparagus and radishes.

Have fun making cards, christine58 . Are you going to a new LSS? no in fact, most of the ones here are all closed. We are going to a local community center about a half hour from here that sheās gone to before. They do it once a month so weāll see should be interesting. Something different to do.

Good evening again,
Today is my older DSās birthday. According to my calendar, he is 38 years old, but I am not so sure - how can I have a child who is nearly 40?
Iāve chatted to both boys today - younger DS is in charge of my presents this year, and needed information from me so he could order my birthday present. I will collect said present when I get to Australia in July. I also walked down to do the recycling and shopping. I have been knitting since lunch. I had to pull out a lot of what I knit over the weekend, as I mixed up the size I was making - the problem with using a pattern with so many sizes! Good news is that it went more quickly second time around, as I knew what I was doing.
For dinner tonight I have made a huge pot of spinach dal. It will also be my lunch for the rest of the week I think!
Big hugs and good thoughts to all dealing with health and family issues.

I think I'll see if my Chiropractor can see me today. It's always worse in the morning. I need to go to the grocery store. On a bright note, I got Wordle in 2! Then I was smacked down to earth with Alphaguess taking me 7 minutes! Dinner will be pork chops with yams.

Happy Tuesday! I got a full 9 hours of sleep last night and feel much better today. Work is pretty much done but the Eurovision Song Contest starts today and it's something that DS and I look forward to every year. The Semi Finals are today and he already has his favorites. I don't listen to any songs ahead of time because I like to watch it live. Aside from that, everything so far is pretty quiet. My sister called my mom earlier and she said she was dressed and ready for church. We had to tell her it was Tuesday and not a church day. Her blood sugar has been high since last night so that is a bit concerning. My dad has a telehealth visit with his doctor today to get a renewal of his Ativan. I really hope they give it to him because it has made such a difference in his worrying which they think was causing some of the urinary issues. He's 93! Let the man have the good drugs He weaned himself off of Oxy all on his own so clearly he can handle some drugs. It looks like my sister has him talked into moving into her house this weekend. He had been adamant that he was not going anywhere until his lease in up in July but I think he's lonely and this will help. Not sure what dinner will be tonight. I think I'll take him out someplace as I don't feel like cooking. Hope you all have a great day!

Have fun w/your friend christine58. cadoodlebug, I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can get an appointment today and are feeling much better in a few hours. That meme resonates w/me. hehe. sueg, Happy Birthday to your ds. How sweet that your son is on a mission to get your gift. They grew up while we had our heads turned. Tearisci, you can talk to the director of the facility or the charge nurse in order to discuss closer monitoring of your mom's sugars. It shouldn't be on your shoulders. You're paying for them to be responsible for this stuff. I'm wishing you less stress and more rest.

Calling for rain today so happy we got a long bike ride in yesterday. Nothing planned for the day except taking my mom to the bank.
Tonight is my monthly dinner with former coworkers. We have completed the alphabet so now we are picking restaurants out of a hat. Tonight is my pick.

Same! Give me ALL the cabbage and broccoli, but the fish... 𤢠We'll save that for dining out. We truly thought being able to open the windows would help. It did not

I just can't handle the smell of fish. So, I don't eat it and I don't even like to sit near someone who's eating fish. Though I used to enjoy tuna sandwiches. I think those are more about the mayo and sweet pickle relish. It would have been a really healthy choice, but I just couldn't tolerate the smell. littlemama, veggies are great and cabbage is yummy, but once that fish smell is in your kitchen you're stuck w/it.

scrapmaven ....I guess you will never come to my homešØ I cook fresh fish at least once a week some weeks twice, I also make tuna sandwiches for lunch a couple time a month. I never have a problem with my house stinking...Not sure what the rest of you are doing to make the fish smelly???š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
I am just back form a 4+ mile walk with my DF...hopefully the weather will hold and we can drop it again tomorrow.
Dinner is rechauffe, DH roasted a chicken on the grill sunday so there is that, along with each of us only eating half our baked potato yesterday. There will be a green veggie or a salad as well.
I need to get cleaned up and out the door for my platelet donation this afternoon!

I try to cook fish outside if at all possible. Iām also perfectly happy to eat it out.
Made tuna fish salad for lunch. No mayo I use avocado and I added carrots & radishes. I put pickles on it because Iām out of relish.
Dinner is undecided. Tacos sound good but that requires a store trip. As does anything else Iām thinking.

Worse in December when we couldnt open the windows, but still not great.

karenlou - we cook fish most weeks also. Can't say I've noticed a residual odour. have fun lucygTearisci - sorry about your mum's blood sugars - how old is she and how high are they? I know my MIL got to a point where they didn't stress so much about high blood sugars because the impacts are longer term and she was unlikely to live long enough to face them. Low on the other hand, is an immediate concern. (((Hugs))). I'm glad that your dad is moving in with your sister - I'm sure its hard for him to be alone. scrapmaven - enjoy a quiet day and get some rest cadoodlebug - glad you got an appointment - I hope it helps sueg - Happy Birthday to your DS. Hi to everyone else Dinner tonight is leftover tacos from last night as we'll be at the school board meeting (starts at 6) as DD18 and the rest of the academic team are being recognised.

We're really only concerned when she's off of the meter high. Of course, the lows are the most important to treat, but she is so brittle that she goes up and down quickly. I think they are doing a better job of monitoring her overall. She's come down a lot from earlier. We're just nervous because she had 2 days off of the meter high and ended up in the ER. I'm so glad my dad is going to stay with my sister. He'll move in here eventually and we will 'share custody' of him Edited to add - she's 88

But I suspect at 88, they probably aren't as concerned about tight control as they are with younger patients. I hope they continue to improve with her monitoring. (((Hugs))) and prayers.

My chiropractor worked on my back for quite a while. Also gave me some stretches to do. I Googled them and, yikes, I don't think I can do them: two yoga stretches ~ the child's pose and the Pidgeon pose. Maybe when I was younger! I have another appointment in the morning. I'm also icing. I started that yesterday and should have started it Saturday.
