Biblical sounds like ' Thou shall not commit adultery' Thou shall not steal Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's wife... Angela Paxton attended her husband's trial but was not allowed to vote on any issues or participate on deliberations over whether to convict or acquit. The impeachment claims focused on benefits Paxton provided to Austin real estate developer Nate Paul, as well as an alleged extramarital affair the attorney general had with a former Senate aide. According to investigators, the affair ended briefly in 2019 after Angela Paxton learned of it, then resumed in 2020. The woman he allegedly had an affair with was called to testify before the Senate and came to the chamber, but left without speaking. Ken Paxton has weathered several political and legal scandals since his impeachment acquittal. Last year, prosecutors agreed to drop a nine-year-old felony securities fraud case against him. He has also closed the door on a federal investigation into corruption allegations his former aides lodged with the FBI and overcome a State Bar of Texas attempt to sanction him over his move to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. www.texastribune.org/2025/07/10/angela-paxton-divorce-texas-attorney-general-ken/?fbclid=IwQ0xDSwLc42pleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHvSyj4NhTTq4CuFswLV_VQ2vGO4z6bP_8UWAhvgCUJrs0rq9CaGR127sbL60_aem_-UG33nam89hcK3FqNzYCnA

Betting she found him cheating again.
Oh well. She’s a trash human just like he is. They deserve each other.

Hard to guess what her line in the sand is, she's been a participant not only a supporter. She's a Republican state senator. She is most certainly complicit in the wrongs being done here.
Wouldn't that just be the icing on the cake if she caught him cheating with a man this time? After all the harm they've both done to LGBTQ in Texas. I think it's more likely, though, that he's just banging another (female) staffer or lobbyist.

Don’t really know much about the impeachment — why was the affair brought into it? Was he spending taxpayer’s money on her? I do think he and his wife are both corrupt scum.

Don’t really know much about the impeachment — why was the affair brought into it? Was he spending taxpayer’s money on her? I do think he and his wife are both corrupt scum. This article details how the affair came into it. www.texastribune.org/2023/09/11/ken-paxton-affair-impeachment-trial/Tl;Dr - the woman he had an affair with was employed by a man named Nate Paul. Paxton was alleged to have done favors for Paul that aided in his corrupt business dealings. Paxton’s chief of staff felt that the affair, which Paxton was desperate to keep secret, made him vulnerable to bribery. There were allegations that he did favors for Paul in exchange for Paul keeping the secret.

I hope this kills his Senate dreams. The "party of family values" doesn't seem too concerned with this kind of thing these days. I'm still baffled by the disconnect between the sanctity of marriage and the cheating habits of the orange one. Anyone have a good "through their eyes" explanation?

They say it's a redemption arc, that forgiveness is necessary, blah blah blah.

They are both terrible but he is worse (imo) and should have had his political career ENDED when he was going through the so called impeachment.

I seriously can't wrap my head around any sane woman wanting to be in the same bed as him. I find him revolting in every aspect.

I agree with @merge about the redemption arc but am still flummoxed. It's the same "logic" they use to label Trump a good business man.
