LOL. I was just down the road in Seward! Going to Lincoln was considered a big trip (about 30 min. drive). I never had a car in college, so only got to go to the 'big city' if friends were going (in the late 70's, downtown Seward covered about 4 blocks) I clearly remember going to Lincoln to look for props for the drama dept. on a Sat. and being amazed that everyone in the city seemed to be wearing red---I had never seen such rabid football fans!

During my study abroad I was the social director at Harlaxton Manor in Lincolnshire. Great dancing parties and Halloween scare events. Best ever work study.

The "sea of red" is still a big thing.

It was the 70s. I did heavy housekeeping weekly and worked weekends as a cocktail.waitress at a dinner theatre. Did not do well with drunk old guys but the tips were ok.
