… and it was a success. I bought this wave stack cooker a few months ago and finally decided to give it a try. The Tupperware rep gave me a list of cakes I could make. I made Chocolate Cherry and it was very good and only took 3 ingredients and 9 minutes to make. My husband even liked it and he is not a cake fan. I will have to try some other dishes now in the cooker.
* I included some recipes in another post. Please scroll down to find at the end of the thread.

I used to sell Tupperware and making a cake in the microwave was something we did at parties. My favorite was the poke cake. Bake the Chocolate cake in the microwave (mixing it as per box) when you take it out poke holes in it and pour in sweetened condensed milk. Let set for few until it cools. After it's cool flip it out of the bowl onto a plate and top with caramel sauce and whipped cream. Yummy.

The ONLY thing I ever managed to make in that stack cooker was cake! Glad you both enjoyed it, now you'll enjoy playing with different variations.

That sounds yummy and great for those days you do not want to heat the oven. Funny bundt cake in the microwave stories - I grew up in the 70's. My BFF's family was the first to get a microwave and it came with assorted pans including a bundt cake pan. Her sister was fascinated with the idea of making a bundt cake in "30 seconds" in the microwave. Because we all thought food cooked instantly in the microwave. So her parents went out and the sisters made a bundt cake. They put it in the microwave and cooked it for 30 seconds. Nothing. Raw cold cake batter. 30 seconds again. Still raw. 30 seconds again. Still not cooked. Well this microwave thing is not working like advertised at all! So just set the microwave on high for the time the box says and go outside to play, completely disgusted with the new microwave. About 45 minutes later the end result was a rock hard bundt cake, similar to baking a hockey puck. Clean up, air out the house, put away all the bowls and evidence. Carry the bundt cake out to put in the neighbours garbage in the back alley and mom and dad will never know. On the way out her sister dropped the bundt cake and it did not even chip. So she dropped it harder onto the road, it still did not break. Now this is a game, toss the bundt cake up into the air and see if it breaks when it hits the ground. Toss it higher and higher and Hey! It did not come back down. That darn bundt cake got stuck on the neighbours antlers they had mounted on their garage and no matter what was thrown up there they were not coming down. That night the parents did that thing that parents do where they stand outside and talk while the kids play in the neighbourhood. Suddenly someone looks up and says "John. It that a cake on your antlers?" So the adults got out a ladder and sure enough it was an over-cooked cake. And the kids just bounced the basketball and did not make eye contact with anyone.

The stack cooker...hmmm. Is that like the round pan that has a steamer shelf that's perforated in the bottom and then a lid on top? 3 pieces? I have one of those but have never made a cake in it. I used to use it all the time, and I've sort of forgotten about it. I have cooked a cake in the microwave in the pampered chef stoneware bundt pan though. It came out pretty good.

I used to have that stacker cooker thingie, but just didn't seem to use it enough so I purged it.
Never tried to make a cake in it, though. Dang!
Glad yours turned out yummy.

I have one of those and the only thing I ever use it for us making rice krispy treats! The pan is perfectly sized and super easy to clean. Other than that it's been a complete waste of $/space. I never did make layered microwave meals!! Maybe a poke or bundt cake is in my future.

I have that, and the cookbook that goes with it. I used to use it a lot. All the stuff cooks at the same time. Even dessert. Yum. I use the steamer part as a colander.

This thread is useless without a recipe. I believe I have the stack cooker you are referring to and I would love to try your recipe.

I just looked at the Tupperware website and the wave stack cooker is not what I have. That thing has more pieces and is way expensive! Mine cost around $20 bucks a bunch of years ago. They didn't even show it on their website.

Sorry that I did not include the recipe in the OP. The recipe for the Chocolate Cherry cake-- 3 eggs , 1 can of cherry pie filling (21oz) , chocolate cake mix, frosting if want to use. Mix eggs and pie filling in a bowl add cake mix-- mix with spatula pour battre into base of cooker ( no greasing pan is necessary ) Microwave on hight for 10-12 min. or 9-11 min for the tupperwave. Do not over cook Let cool for 10 min and then invert to a plate. * for best results use cake mixes with puddings or the new moist mixes
Apple spice cake-- 3 eggs, 1 can apple pie filling , spice cake mix Pumpkin spice-- 3 eggs, 1 can of small pumpkin, spice cake mix. lemon-- 3 eggs, 1 can lemon pie filling, lemon or white cake mix. lemon glaze-- 1/3 cup frozen lemonade concentrate and 1 c powdered sugar.

I bought that thing last fall because we had pineapple upside down cake at our TW party! LOL I've only used it a couple of times, but just seeing how quickly the cakes cook was good enough for me!

This is brilliant! I never would have thought about it - I love RKT but they are such a pain to clean up after. Do melt the marshmellows and butter first, then add the cereal afterwards?

I use the large bowl and the lid (hard plastic lid....not the flexible seal). Melt the butter/ marshmallows for 90 sec on high (other microwaves may be different). Then I use a Pampered Chef big scraper and quickly mix it with the vanilla. Add my cereal and scrape into a bar pan. The Tupperware bowl cleans EASILY with just a little hot soapy water.
This is is the one I have (circa 1990ish):
I see there are more modern version in a clear red or blue plastic. I'm not sure if the newer plastic works/cleans like the older ones.

I use my Stack Cooker pieces so much that I actually have two of them. One is the original Stack Cooker that came out in the late '80s/early '90s (I sold Tupperware back then), and then years later I bought the cranberry version. I made many meals in those, using the cookbook and on my own. But these days we mostly just use the pieces individually. When I cook, I do it mostly in the microwave, and these pieces just work very well for that.
