go crazy and decide you NEED a super old collection (or more of one) and hunt it down online ever if you have to pay some stupid prices because it is EXACTLY what you need for a set of pictures or a project?
I know there will always be other pretty papers or I could possibly find something from my stash, but I felt an insane desire to have the Seaside Collection for October Afternoon for my latest set of beach picturesl Yes, its old, but I had to have it anyway. OA just never gets old for me.
Have a story you want to share...

Not quite, but close! I have never found a collection for amusement park photos better than OA's Midway. I refuse to purchase any more, because I have used it so much.
I had to reply, as another OA lover.

Just happened to me with a Christmas line this past fall when I was making my cards. I pulled out a 6x6 pad and wondered why I didn't buy 10 of them! I even thought that maybe I could find the paper online digitally. Sadly I didn't, but rather than hoard the pad and tuck it away in the back of my stash, I used up the whole thing!

I bought just the stickers for a Cosmo Cricket line once and later decided I needed the paper that went with it. I never did find or buy the line and still have the stickers unused.
I even contacted Cosmo Cricket about rereleasing that line (they had rereleased a few others in pad form) and they said no.
My tastes changed and I no longer want that paper and now it is available for $14.99 (plus shipping) online but I would never pay that much for 10 year old paper!

I love love love pink paislee's daily junque line. I have used it for so many projects, mixed in with other lines, used every scrap. If I ever find more, I will buy it! I might just buy it and frame it to look at, and I'm only kidding a little.

I would buy 25 pieces of the old, old, old, OA cloud paper (not the one from Sasparilla) and I would also repurchase the entire OA Nightlight and Rocket Age collections if I could find them!!!!

I hunted down an old Sandylion (yes, go ahead laugh now) collection of Thomas the Tank Engine paper/stickers to scrap my youngest's Day Out with Thomas. I didn't have any leftovers from my older daughter's album and Annabelle really wanted Thomas paper in her scrapbook too.
I'm considering hunting down some old Karen Foster paper - it had a dance theme (like a formal not like ballet) and I loved it when it came out but didn't buy it because I had no formal dance photos and now my older daughter is in high school and went to the Winter Formal last night and...I think that paper would be perfect if I can find it. Of course I may not love it if I find it again - It's probably 10+ years old

I am currently hoarding two packs of each of these. My LSS had Nightlight on clearance. I got Rocket Age at Archivers about a year ago. So sad.

I have not. I do however admire your ability to know "I want (blank) to use on this (blank) layout. You are talented and artistic.
I just buy, buy , buy and make it work by copying others work. .

I was just talking at a crop yesterday about the EK Success football and baseball 'jolies' type embellies they came out with for each professional team. I was using a Tennessee Titans helmet and needed an Eagles helmet but of course they no longer make them. I made do with something else but I said, "Team related stuff for scrapbooks should be available all the time." I could probably find one on ebay if I really wanted it, thank goodness, but some things you just need when you need it and are not the type of things you would just have in your stash.

Yes, I have done that before. And then when the old, hard to find, expensive product came in it turned out to not work for my project. I felt like such an idiot!

I always buy two packs because I make two of every layout since I make two books. The nightlight pack is just adorable. If I ever see it again, I will do a shout out for you.

I ordered it to make a formal dance page kit and never got around to actually doing it so I have 25 sheets of that paper. As for old paper that I wish I had more of, there was a cutesy snowman/Christmas line from MME that was designed by Zoe Pearn that I never saw when it was out but I bought in paper pad form from Michael's or somewhere. I should have bought more than one of those pads because I used almost all of it on my December Daily a couple years ago. I've had so many occasions where I wish I had more of it because it was so cute! I've also had that happen with Doodlebug fabric that I didn't discover until it was already sold out everywhere. I ended up buying a bag of end of the bolt cuts from someone on Etsy just so I could have some scraps of it to sew into something!

Yes. I discovered Crate Paper way too late (it's my favourite company) and would have loved to have all of Emma's Shoppe. Well there is someone on eBay selling it but postage to Australia costs just as much as the product and it's too expensive sadly

If I see a 6x6 paper pad that I REALLY love, I quite often buy 2 of them.

Yes it was one of the MME Lost & Found collections I think it might have been Madison Avenue just kept buying it up and it'll take me forever to get through it all. I also really liked some crate papers which were on sale and I've never seen them anywhere else since

I need Doodlebug Happy Tails. I found this paper after I had 2 dogs and it is just adorable. Of course it is nowhere to be found anywhere.

I wanted the Simply Stories "Say Cheese" for my Disney albums so bad I could taste it about a year ago. I had to order different pieces from different sites all over the internet. In the last 3-6 months they have started to release cheaper 1 sided copies of most of the line in Michaels and Joanns....so now I feel ripped off LOL

Yes, yes I have. It was for a picture frame I was making for a friend's baby shower gift. I asked the Peas about good travel lines in primary colors, and several Peas pointed out a BG line that was discontinued. I found the pieces I needed from a Pea, as well as some on a FB scrapbook for sale board.

I would never pay that much for 10 year old paper! Why not??? I say, if you DID still like it, why wouldn't you? If my style had not changed and I FINALLY found something I had been looking for and I still liked it, I'd certainly jump on it if I could! Some papers/designs/styles never age.

For me it was Chatterbox. I STILL love Chaterbox papers. Those Room collections. Make it Meaningful. I couldn't afford to buy much of it back when everyone was hoarding it, but I did buy a huge multipack when the company was discontinuing everything and it's still my favorite paper and my go to for most types of layouts. I've been known to save (and use) the tiniest scraps. If I found more at a good price, I'd probably snatch it up.
I'm looking for Sonnets Flea Market stickers now. They used to be everywhere.
