Sometimes I'll carry on a conversation with somoeone on my facebook they know I've taken my meds. It's gotten to be pretty funny! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)

Gosh I read that back and it sounds like I'm a lush. Actually I often have rehearsals or performances and not get home until 11 pm or later. I usually haven't eaten and am too wound up to go to bed so I have a glass of wine or something. Well then it hits me because I have an empty stomach. Then all of us from the theater get on FB chat and talk for an hour or two. Ha ha.

I'm game. I had to go to the ER tonight, and they gave me pain meds subcutaneously. I didn't get that nasty headache, dizzyness and nausea that comes with the drug give by IV, but it started to work just as quickly. I'm so glad because I was in so much pain I was trembling.
I'm just chilling on the sofa, hoping to get sleepy soon. I didn't feel like going to the fireworks last night. I did read the first Harry Potter book over the weekend. I can't wait to read the rest. I'm reading them on my Kindle. Those books are way too big and heavy for me to read otherwise.

Thanks, Gar. I'm always amazed at how much pain I had been in while wrestling with whether I should go. I had new pain and shortness of breath, so I called the nurse line. They told me to go in. With my history, I have to make sure that my chronic condition hasn't gone acute. The pain treatment was secondary. I feel so much better, and I know that I'm finally going to get a good night's sleep after a couple of bad weeks. Thankfully everything is ok. Nothing emergent. I just have to follow up with my regular doctor this week. I don't like my regular doctor because he's not available after hours or on weekends. The office just refers you to urgent care and the ER. The urgent care will only help me with very minor things--they told me with my history that they feel more comfortable with me just going to the ER.
How are things where you live? Are you having a great summer? Where exactly do you live? When I visited England in May of '97, I went to Stonehenge, Bath, and Twickingham? as day trips from London. My French teacher decided to go into the travel business, so my mom and I were her first clients. When I found out that we had a layover in London, I had to stop. I've always wanted to see Stonehenge. I love the UK--British Literature was my favourite subject in high school!

Actually we are having a decent summer which is lovely! Can't complain for once even though it's our national pastime usually ![](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) We have visited Bath quite a lot - it's a wonderful city...so much history. I live in Oxfordshire, south central area of the country, and that's beautiful too. I always find it fascinating how much Britain is loved by the Americans, it's flattering of course!

My dad's family are descendants of Pocahontas. I would really like to visit the church where she is buried. A lot of Americans would love to see her returned to her native land, but we understand that it's not decent to disturb so many graves to find one person.
I think so many Americans can trace their ancestry back to the UK that we feel drawn back. Dh and I would love to live in the UK. I feel more British than American sometimes. I love British TV and news, literature, the Queen's English. I use British spelling a lot, but it's a combination of having British and Canadian teachers, growing up reading the KJV version of the Bible, and studying French, which uses British spelling for the English part of the lessons.
I love tea and crumpets. Crumpets are hard to find, but they are amazing! Devon cream. Cadbury's. Monty Python. British History.

That's funny - my MIL does a lot of family history and told my DDs that we were related to Pocahontas....I'm not sure why and they believed it for ages.....strange thing to do....pretty sure it's not true though ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Q_m8lDOvc_3Le3r1GKdf.jpg) Yes, I guess a lot of Americans do feel connected in some way understandably. I do like crumpets but really, scones are the way to go, with jam and cream of course! ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/je5sYA42O6Gc12IRDzCd.jpg)

That's a nice thought. Where did you visit? I've been to London twice. The first time was with my sister and a couple girlfriends. We stayed near the British Museum (Bloomsbury?) I'm kinda tipsy right now so I don't spellcheck like I do sober. We did a daytrip to Bath and Stonehenge...lovely. But mostly I just loved walking around London and going to pubs.
My dh is part Scottish and we went there on a later trip. He fell in love with Edinburgh, Scotland immediately. We also stay in Inverness and I booked a couple nights at Stuart Castle (about 12 miles outside Inverness) and that was wonderful to say the least!!!
I do all the trip planning, so I worked it so we would take a night train from Inverness to spend the last three day of the trip in London. Museums, Pub crawls and of course a visit to the Tower of London.
I still haven't been to the Cotswolds yet. I must go back.
