I'd buy them and wear them, I have several sweaters in that style.
I like throwing them on over a tshirt with a pair of jeans, dresses them up a bit.

I am not quite "old lady" but I am "older lady" and I think that they are okay. I still see that style cardigan being sold in the stores, so someone is buying them. I have one, but I am about as tall as a tree stump and they are so long that I look like I am wearing a bathrobe so I don't wear it very often. I should probably just pass it on to Goodwill.

I don't know. I hate how we use the terms "old lady" or "my grandma would wear that" as insults about things. It just rubs me the wrong way. I know what you mean, and I used to feel the same way-but I live in an area that receives a good number of "snow birds" and most of our shopping options cater to that market. I am fairly short, so I always try the petite sections first, and what I have found over the years is that petite tends to equal clothes that appeal to an older client. It is frustrating, and what has come from that is a short hand to describe those types of clothes. My mom is older, and she doesn't at all dress like what I would consider "old lady clothes" and even she (at almost 70) will say that she doesn't want to go to certain places because of all the "old lady clothes." I see it as more a comment on the people who design the clothes for a market that they assume is there rather than an insult toward a group of people.

Not at all. I have several in that basic style. I like that I can wear a t-shirt and jeans but still feel a little more 'dressed' than just a t-shirt and jeans.

It just depends on how you wear them. Layered with a tshirt and some cute shoes or boots would like nice.

Not old lady but I don't like where the hem ends. It needs to be slightly longer imo. But definitely not old lady looking.

The link isn't working for me, but sweaters sold in a multi-pack doesn't exactly scream fashion forward.

you could dress them up with a nice high-necked ruffled-collar blouse and a brooch at the neck. with mom jeans.... really, i think they are very versatile and would look great with a scarf with jeans and a tee....and that is a great price.... cindy

I'm not a fan of the fabric they're made from - rayon/spandex. If they were actually knit sweaters made from soft yarn, they'd be more appealing to me.

No, not a Grandma-ish style. But, I think they need to be longer. These sweaters hit right at the butt and depending on your body could look really bad. I'm skinny, with a crazy long torso and no butt - they'd not look good on me, same if you carry some extra weight. I have a couple of similar sweaters, but in a heavier wool

I'd wear those.
Probably over a tank top with jeans, boots and a little bit of bling.

Did anyone else read the description, about staging your own civil war reenactment with the colors? LOL
It's one of those sweaters that's going to look young if you can carry off leggings, old if you're blue haired.

I'd wear those. Probably over a tank top with jeans, boots and a little bit of bling. Same here. A fun graphic tee might be nice, too. Many years ago I bought a lovely wool sweater and felt very grown-up. Turns out it might have been too grown-up, as my grandmother had THE EXACT SAME SWEATER. She thought it was very funny, I did not.

Now see, if they were made from yarn instead if the fabric they are, then they would scream old lady. I don't think describing something as old lady is offensive. It has nothing to do with age, it's a style like saying "mom jeans". I've seen 80 year old women who have great style and nothing about them says old lady despite their age. It's not an insult to a person's age. It's a descriptor of their style. I think the ones in the OP are fine and can be pretty on trend if done correctly - layered with a long tank, a t shirt, a great necklace, leggings, and boots.

No. That style is pretty popular.
But a three pack for $30 made of rayon I just wouldn't go there....

I personally just prefer a mostly cotton blend, for everything I wear. It cuts down on static electricity and my BO smell. In the picture, they look fairly thin. But no, the don't look matronly to me.

I have several similar sweaters from The Limited. I don't consider The Limited to be an "old lady" store, so my answer to your question is no.

I like the style but not the fabric it looks a bit cheap to me. If I was just going to wear them around the house then they'd be fine.

To me they border on old lady like. My one dd who is in her 20s would never wear it, as it's too long and too baggy, and I think us older ladies..50 on up, tend to wear that kind more. The cardigans I see the younger 20,30s wear, are shorter, and a bit more fitted.

The blue one? Yes, but I'm not a fan of blue. I think the other two could be fine for regular day wear( around the house, grocery shopping, volunteering at school) w/the right top & jewelry.

I'd be afraid that the fabric is too thin being 95% rayon and 5% polyester.

I think either dowdy or frumpy is the word you want. Some old ladies dress very stylish and keep up with trends. I think these sweaters could go either trendy or frump depending on what else you wear with them and how you carry yourself.
Mom jeans, tshirt, athletic shoes for comfort, no accessorizing... frump.
Jeans with some shape/fit, fashion boots, and a great textured/colored scarf it could come off very fashionable.

Aren't they a bit on the short side for today's styles? And they do say "cheap" to me. I wouldn't buy them but I'm quite picky about clothing.
