Raging toothache and a possible 3 month wait to sort it out. That is all.

I really hate menopause. Aside from the weight gain, there are the UTIs. I do everything the way I am supposed to and I am still 40 pounds overweight and getting UTIs. I am soooo tired of being "good" and having nothing to show for it. I used to get 3-4 UTIs every year. Besides the normal suggestions on how to avoid them I also started taking cranberry capsules daily. I haven't had a UTI for over 4 years (knock on wood.) Increase your fluid intake especially water. Cranberry juice or pills help too. Do not count caffeine drinks in your total fluids.

Sorry that your co-worker won't switch with you. I would switch with you! I switched for years with everyone as I realize life can throw you a twist especially when it comes to kids and their ever changing schedules. I worked crazy double shifts, double backed, etc. Then came the day I needed to switch for my daughter's rescheduled band concert and nobody was willing to switch. I wasn't feeling well that day...... Thank you for being kind!! Unfortnunately, if I called in sick. I wouldn't get paid for my vacation I took last week. They have a policy about that. BUT!! GOOD NEWS!!! The game was cancelled due to rain SO I'll be able to go!!!! PTL! He answered my prayers!

I spoke too soon - we had a really heavy spell of torrential rain a while ago. Has it blown itself out yet where you are?

My Lhasa Apso passed away last Thursday. I am totally heartbroken. I am so SICK of people asking me when I am going to get another dog!!! I had him for 13 years...he was my constant companion...he was like one of my own children! He cannot be replaced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I owe it to him, myself, and a new puppy to grieve for an appropriate amount of time. You know...at least a week ( I am being VERY sarcastic)

I love vent threads, but my brain is now processing the thread title as General Vent, like a military leader.

My Shiz is 13.5 and has been diagnosed with Sr Dog Dementia and arthritis. He has pretty much been by my side since we adopted him 12 years ago. Losing him will leave a huge hole in my life. I can't imagine asking a long time pet owner who just lost their pet when they are planning on getting a new pet. Is it just that they don't have any long term, beloved pets in their life, or are they just insensitive idiots? Again, my sincerest condolences. Marcy

This morning I found out that my grandmother, my Nornie, my kids' Skinny Granny, has ovarian cancer.
She is 85 and her health has been declining since 2011 when she was struck down by a case of Shingles. PSA: GET THE SHINGLES VACCINE WHEN YOU CAN!! She never recovered her strength and my poor mom has taken her to every dr imaginable looking for the cause of her continued problems. It is breaking my mom's heart to watch this vital woman just slip away, and there is nothing I can do to make things better.
I am the FIXER in the family, and I can't fix this.
My DD is going to be devastated if we lose her Skinny; they are very close.

Marcy He was diagnosed last September with congestive heart failure and we have had to update medications several times. He always rallied back. We knew he was living on borrowed time and I thought I had prepared myself....stupid me. There is just no way to prepare for the death of a loved one. Believe it or not one of the people who keeps asking runs a dog rescue. I know that she is coming from the point of view of all the dogs that need homes, but I just need my heart to scab over. I just don't have anything to give right now.

It is truly devastating when we lose a four legged family member. People can be insensitive without even trying. Only you will know if and when it's right for you to get another one. Prayers.

I am tired of having low barometric pressure every day because they cause me to have migraines! Not a thing I can do about the weather. Fortunately, my rescue meds have been working.
I am tired of our customer service rep coming in to work an hour and a half to two hours late every, freaking day and then complaining about being behind in her work. She's the President of the companies sister, so there is no one to complain to.
I am tired of gaining weight regardless of how little I eat or how much I exercise. Being over 50 sucks when it comes to trying to lose weight.
I am tired of trying to keep my MIL (who had dementia) safe at home. It is time she is put in a home for people with dementia, but DH is totally not on board with it yet. I'm not sure what it will take to change his mind.
I am just TIRED!

I'm not sure what it will take to change his mind. I am just TIRED! My mother has Lewy Body dementia and we just had to put her in a special memory care facility. She had been living with my older sister and it was a difficult decision to make, but it has definitely turned out for the best. She's actually making a few friends and is getting used to it. She told me the other day that everyday she and her friends have a new conversation even it's one they've had before. Lol. At least she still has her sense of humor. Good luck with MIL.

To my ex:
Pay your freaking student loans. They are not going to go away despite it being 22 years past the end of your schooling. I am tired of getting phone calls every single day from Sallie Mae because I was naive enough to cosign on your consolidation when we were married. It is your debt incurred for your education and you agreed to pay them like a good boy in the divorce settlement. Time to man up.

Yesterday morning before I left for work, I turned the air on. It was the best time of the day to turn it on, when it's the coolest. When I came home, the air was OFF, the windows were open and DH thought everything was just fine and dandy. Today is even hotter than yesterday was. If I walk into a hot, humid house when I get home, I don't know if I will be able to hold my temper...I really don't.
