I'm sorry I missed the original post, but oh my gosh! This sounds just terrifying. I've seen both your updates. Thank goodness she has a mom who does not take no for an answer. I always tell my DIL to listen to her gut, just like you did.
I'm sending prayers for your DD. It sounds like you are in the right place for her to get help.

Just read your second update.
I am so happy that you have an appointment with the PANDAS clinic. Hopefully they will be able to help your little girl.
I had never heard of PANDA until last week here on this board. That is another reason I love this place so much. There is a HUGE wealth of information on here.
Keep us updated please.

Well, it's PANDAS. We have the best team around that is going to help us through this. They believe this is her first flare-up and we caught it early. She had a lot of blood work done yesterday so they can use it as a baseline. There is so much they are trying to learn about this disorder so we have a long road ahead of us. I am so relieved that we have answers and got them so quickly. I'll add more info in the next few days when I feel like I can string more than a few sentences together. Thanks for everything. You will never know how much the advice, support, messages etc have meant to me.

I'm glad you have a diagnosis - that must be a relief. Good for you for advocating for your daughter and getting her the care she needs. Sounds like you have a great team in place. Best of luck!
ETA: This is a great example of the knowledge and care of this community. Clearly you weren't using this board as a substitute for medical care, but it helped give you some ideas, encouragement to trust your instinct and push for your daughter, and support from others going through the same thing. I had not heard of PANDAS before this thread and I'm glad I know now. Again, best wishes as you start treatment.

I knew about PANDAS because of some incidents where I live that hit the national news. (Girls with ticks~~ parents blamed the water etc...come to find out...99.99% of the girls were faking) Many suggestions were to look at PANDAS Anyhow..glad you know..now she can be treated!! YAY!!!
