I was just reading the Zoya nail polish thread where someone got an empty box shipped to them.
My daughter had one shoe only in a box ordered from Kohls in December.
What funny order mistakes have you received?

I ordered a set of artificial nails and got 8 little discs filled with tiny beads to be put on nails instead.

It's funny now...the same wrong size boots shipped to me over and over again. They just could send me the correct size.

Yesterday at work the business depot delivery guy brought us a case of tassimo coffee instead of a case of binders. Label on coffee even said binders. I bet who ever ordered the coffee was really disappointed. We don't drink coffee so it wasn't a good mistake. We just refused it.

I ordered a dress once and got a pair of shoes!
I ordered the cutest dress as a surprise for my sister for her shower. Not only did the store send the wrong UGLY dress, but when UPS was delivering it they must have dragged it behind the truck as there was a rubber burn mark through the bag into the dress. Thankfully that was when my sister told me about it and we had a good laugh over me thinking the ugly dress was the cute and ordering it for her!

I ordered a two pack of scotch double sided tape from amazon. They sent a 2 pack, but the diameter of the rolls was much bigger. It didn't fit in my dispenser, and I had to "make it work" because I wasn't willing to not have the tape (working on a scrappy project) & return it for an exchange (and have to wait for them to ship me the right stuff).
And wouldn't you know it, it took forever to use up that tape and have my dispenser back.

My daughter ordered some poker chips for her boyfriend from Target for Christmas. She received a 1000 piece puzzle of Chicago. She called and took it back to the store and they gave her $5.00 credit for her trouble.

I hadn't ordered anything, but 27 years ago, I came home from work and there was a delivery notice on my front door stating that a package had been placed on my patio. I found a Bow Flex machine had been delivered to my patio. The patio was enclosed, and you could only access the patio from my bedroom sliding door. The UPS guy had to have heaved that huge box over the privacy fence.
The last name on the box was similar to mine, but had a man's name and it was a completely different address on the other side of Columbus, Ohio. The original address had been crossed out and my address written on the label.
Anyways, this was before the internet, so I called UPS and I couldn't get anyone to come and pick it up. After a few days, it looked like rain, so I had to slide the box inside the apartment. Finally, I popped open the box so that I could access the order form. I called Bow Flex and explained the problem. They said "Oh leave it outside and we'll arrange for UPS to come and pick it up." I explained to them that there wasn't any place to "leave it outside" and no way to access the patio if I left it on the patio, plus we had rain for a few days. They then asked if I could drive it to a UPS shipping place and drop it off. I said No, because 1) there was no way that I could carry that heavy box to my car, I could barely slide the box inside my apartment and 2) The UPS shipping place was on the other side of Columbus. I was a full time student and had a full time job and my time was limited.
I told them my next day off and said that I would be home for this 6 hour period of time and they could come pick it up. If they weren't there, then I would leave it on the patio and I gave them permission to jump over the privacy fence and get the box over and it was theirs.
UPS never showed, I had to leave for class, I slid that box back on the patio, covered it with a tarp where it remained for 2 weeks.
So I slid the box back inside, stowed it under the bed, made another round of phone calls to bow flex, and no one ever came to pick it up.
After 2 months, I considered it mine.

My husband ordered 8 pullver type shirts from jcp....he got 7 of them and a set of towels. The tag on the towels said it was a shirt but clearly it was not.

I ordered new jammies for everyone in my family for Christmas, and gave them out on Christmas Eve. DH got changed before bed... and his shirt was very tight, and very curvy, and quite low cut. The packaging had been labelled as a man's shirt but it was obviously a woman's shirt!

I once had a dishwasher delivered and installed before realizing it was the wrong dishwasher!
In my defense, everything else I had purchased that was stainless steel had come with a piece of blue plastic stuck over any exposed steel to keep it from scratching. When I saw the front was dark, I just thought the color of the plastic had changed. It wasn't until the installer was ready to leave and I asked him to remove the plastic so I could inspect it for scratches that we realized the front panel was actually dark rather than steel. Since I had a party happening in just a few hours and Lowe's couldn't get a new to my home in time, the installer left that one and came back the next day with the correct one and installed it then.

I ordered a set of four very large porcelain white coffee mugs. Instead I received a set of 8 mini espresso cups with saucers. The kind your daughter plays tea with her stuffed animals.
I contacted the company, they said keep the product and they'd send out the correct order. We ended up doing this four times before I just told them to forget it and to give me a refund. So I now have four useless sets of mini espresso cups with saucers still in their packaging.

My daughter ordered from Cards Against Humanity and accidently put in the wrong address. When she called them and had it reshipped, there was a letter in the box hoping that she now knew where she lived.

I had a 1 lb chocolate ball show up with my name on it destined for someone else. That was weird. A 1 lb chocolate ball. What on earth is a chocolate ball? How do you eat one? It looks like a canon ball.

My husband ordered cigars, but instead got the full set of Battlestar Galactica videos. Pretty sure it was UPS theft, not a shipper error.

Christmas gifts for another family! I ordered a few things from one of those personalization websites for my cousins for Christmas. When my box arrived it was this kind of long square box, which I thought was odd, because everything I had ordered would be folded (beach towels with the kids' names on them, a beach toy bag with the family name on them, etc.). But whatever. I opened the box and there were WRAPPED Christmas gifts in there, from the personalization company (I guess the buyer paid extra for the wrapping)! I unwrapped one because I was so confused and then I realized what had happened when I found the packing slip. It was someone's order in TX but they had my shipping label on the box.
I immediately called the company and they emailed me a shipping label to return it. It wasnt a big deal. But it was a mess to get my stuff in return. They finally decided to rush deliver a new set of gifts for me to my mom's house. I was just crossing my fingers they were there and CORRECT for Christmas. Thankfully, they were.

We once ordered a game and got a box containing a burner cell phone (old, used and uncharged) and some foreign candy and snacks and a few other random assorted stuff. We called the company and they told us to box it back up, 'refuse' the package and leave it on our porch for pick up. The next day, it was picked up.
Then, about 2 days later we got the package back! They had 'refused' it on the other end as well!
I called them again and explained again and they suggested I 'refuse' it again and it would be picked up. It was finally picked up and the company shipped out another game. But what a weird package. DH is convinced it was intended for someone in prison, or evidence of a crime or something. The package had obviously been tampered with.

I ordered a fancy dress for a banquet from Spiegel catalog (are they still around?) and I received a small box, smaller than a shoe box. I opened it and it was a few children's cheap toys. I was bummed because I was on a deadline and didn't have time to find another dress!

This one is probably a little different.
I live in Southeast Texas. I have an accent.
One night when I worked at the newspaper, we ordered out from a place nearby. The intern, named Mike, was going to pick it up, so when the cashier asked for the name on the order, I gave them his.
It took him longer than usual to pick up the food. When he finally got back, we asked what the deal was. My accent is SO BAD that the cashier thought I said, "Mack," not "Mike," and it took them a while to find the order lol.

If you read the order confirmation and the packing slip, there is always something funny in there. I love that they tailored your dd's to the situation. As part of the "12 days of Kwanzaa or whatever" which I ordered for my son, one of the items received was a booklet of emails they had received and their actual answers, which were hilarious.

I ordered nightgowns for my DDs who were about 8 and 12 at the time from the Disney store. They were long, plaid, had Mickey and were embroidered with their names. They were on sale for a great price and I hurriedly ordered them and thought what a great deal!
I received the package and realized I had ordered adult nightgowns instead of children's. The XL was giant on my 12 yo and younger DDs was also way too big. Fail! I still have the XL bec I can wear it even though it's big on me too.

I ordered a pair of sandals from Zappos and received a really nice pair of Frye riding boots. Too bad the boots were too small, and wouldn't really work for my trip to Hawaii! LOL Zappos was awesome though. They emailed a return label for me to stick on the box and when my sandals were delivered the next day they delivery guy picked up the boots for return.

A couple of years ago, I ordered a cheapish (£15) ring for my daughter from QVC. Instead, they sent a £250 pair of pearl and diamond earrings from the same designer. Apparently the boxes were the same whatever you ordered from the range. The annoying thing was, initially they refused to believe me, then the ring was sold out so although I returned the earrings ( another saga- they wanted ME to pay the cost of return which had to be special delivery due to the value) my daughter never did get her ring.

I have autoship from Mr. Chewy for cat food....one order came and inside the large box were three other orders with packing slips and items and labels on boxes...but they were not put together. I called the company, boxed up the orders and dropped them at Fedex!
