Just saw this tweet from Neil Patrick Harris - some of the comments afterwards are pretty funny too! Kayne proofing the Oscarsvirtual high-5 to NPH! As I posted on a FB friend's post, I wish there had been security at the Grammy's and they just laid Kanye out.

I think Kanye is mentally ill. I think the death of his mother means he has no one to call him out on his atrocious behavior. Personally I feel bad for the Guy. He has been bat shit for awhile and no one loves him enough to rein that bullshit in.

appparantly the on stage incident was a joke but he later said he was not kidding.
I don't think he was joking - I think he realized at the last second that he should keep his stupid, talentless mouth shut.
I saw a clip of Beyoncé and Jay Z as he was going up there and Jay Z looked mortified and then started to laugh when idiot turned to go off the stage.

I'm not going to get all butt hurt and offended but already twice it's been brought up that Kanye could be on the spectrum. That an asshole of that caliber is equated with those on the spectrum is really disconcerting to me. There are a lot of extroverted entertainers that are arrogant and entitled with personality disorders. Narcissism first comes to mind. Not autism.

I think yhe better question is what I'd *not* wrong with Kanye.
The list will be shorter

Kayne should just start his own award show. The Kaynes! The only winners would be himself and Beyonce. ... and whoever "he-the-asshat-deems-worthy." He is beyond confident- no one else could possibly have an opinion contrary from his that could even be considered. Saw him on some talk show once and he was saying how he was so smart (more than anyone, I'm sure). My thought has always been, if you make the claim to be smarter, better than anyone else, um, no you are NOT. You are just stupid enough to make that statement.

He has been bat shit for awhile and no one loves him enough to rein that bullshit in. I know there's been speculation in the past about the possibility that he suffered frontal lobe damage when he had a car accident in 2002(?). It would definitely explain his erratic behavior. I do know West thought the sun rose and set on his mom. The combination of a possible head injury and the grief and guilt he felt after losing his mother makes it hard for me to feel like the guy is a worthless scumbag. As someone who views West as a guy who's struggling with something darker than a crappy personality and overblown sense of entitlement, it's sad to see so many awful comments about him. His behavior is unfortunate and Beck is a total class-act for the way he responded to the whole thing. I just wish West had people around him who could get him some help. As far as the statements about his lack of talent, I have to wonder if that's an opinion based primarily on personal taste. I'd be interested to hear someone explain why they feel that way.

If they really wanted to prevent Kanye from getting on stage, they would. They don't because it generates far more publicity for the Grammys than all of the winners combined. How many people who had zero interest in the Grammys and who didn't watch last night know about Kanye? Yup. Kanye gets pr, the Grammys get pr. Win-win from their pov.

I had a boss who sustained a head injury 2 years prior to me beginning my work with him. One day he got into my face and literally pushed me down. His wife was so apologetic and everyone talked about how nice he was before his accident. But I had totally forgot about Kanye's car accident and the possibility that his behavior could be attributed to that. The comments here are harsh. Someone said he should be banned from living!

Let's begin by juxtaposing Beyonce and Beck for this Rock award. Beck plays how many instruments? 12-19? He writes and produces his own music. He's a MUSICIAN and experienced performed. Beyonce had about 38 writers on her album and I believe 19 producers + she is NOT a musician; she is a singer. She doesn't write. She doesn't play any instrument. She's just a pop icon. I believe Kanye's love is not for Beyonce, but it's for Jay Z. We all know he's on the downlow. C'mon.
What irked me the most is that Kanye's comments just further separate people into color and sex, etc... Instead of having a monumental moment onstage like that between Sam Smith and Mary J Blige, we have Kanye crying about "his people"?? It's setting people back. Also the song that was sung during John Legend's song further perpetuates racial divide. I was very sad by this undercurrent during this Grammy show. Very sad.
As another sidenote: Beyonce had to drum up ticket sales for her concerts by faking arguments with her husband in elevators and all over NY. People caught on. It's sad. She sounds like she's becoming ready for "Reality TV". Blech!

People keep saying he is very talented. Probably true, but he comes off like that spoiled little kid who doesn't get his way and throws a tantrum. He just doesn't get that not everyone appreciates the same music as much as he does. He needs to realize that what he says does not affect how people feel about much of anything.

I think we can all agree that Kanye sucks without having to tear Beyonce down too. It's not her fault Kanye loves her so. But seriously... If you had this nut rushing stages demanding awards for you, wouldn't you try to look the other way as well? Maybe she WILL or HAS said something privately, we don't know. Not her fault. Also not her job to run Kanye interference. And Beck probably doesn't give two shits what that idiotic asshole thinks anyway. I will say this for Kim...she had the grace to look embarrassed during the after-rant. She looked more and more uncomfortable as he continued to rant away. I smell a divorce coming up if he continues to be more of a liability than an asset. I do think he started out with it being a joke, but decided this approach would keep people talking so he's just running with it because that's his "thing" (being a total dick).

Where is the talent? He used some kind of synthesizer with the song he sang on the show. And the rap crap - don't get me going on that. That doesn't involve any talent accept talking fast and degrading people.

In my opinion, his actions are meant to impress Jay Z and Beyonce. I'm not sure which of the two he cares about impressing more, however.
His actions scream insecurity to me. He must desperately want to feel worthy of their friendship but he doesn't.

I have also wondered if Kanye isn't on the spectrum. His actions are always just a little off. I am on the spectrum. I am ashamed if this celeb is now going to "represent" me! I know this is a generalisation, but still.

I know this is a generalisation, but still. I understand ScrapsontheRocks. The initial question asking what the f&&k is wrong with Kanye has led to a myriad of opinions on this thread. But when the answer to that question is that he is autistic? My initial reaction is that our autistic community gets a bad rap and I am unable to stay silent over someone's lack of knowledge. I know and love two very unique autistic individuals. They are the best people I have ever been blessed to know in this world. They are a testament that being differently abled should be celebrated and not mocked or misaligned.

Olan, just pointing out that there could be racial harmony instead of distance as these Grammys seemed to have been all about. Mary J showed her appreciation for Sam's talents and he has said the same about her. It's about talent and being graceful and many artists on the show were severely lacking them.
